Felipe's Mexican Restaurant

This was my first time going to this Felipes. I have been to at least 3 others in the Wichita area. The food tasted like all the others and the prices were definitely reasonable. I enjoyed the scenery as it wasn't too bright and loud. The waiter was also really kind and took care of us.

By far the best Mexican restaurant to grab drinks in Wichita. Nice quiet location overlooking the lake. Nice outdoor patio area. They always serve you chips with hot and mild sauce. Cazuela is the go to drink if you’ve never been here before. They serve it with a flame. Really cool experience. I love their enchiladas. The charro tacos are a great plate and can’t get it wrong with that order. So come and experience Felipe’s if you’ve never been!

Came in when I was having a bad day, but this turned that around! Our server was wonderful and attentive, food was delicious and came quickly. Taking home leftovers too because my husband and I could only finish half our meal. I'm definitely not much of a leftover-eater but this is too good to leave!

Had a great birthday day and just wanted a nice laid back dinner. Went in at 5 and it was perfect. It was still happy hour and my wife said you go first birthday boy and I never gave it a second thought but at the end of the meal Martha came out with a nice little treat. I wish I got a picture of it.

A pleasant Valentine's Day supper. Friendly and quick service, good food...and half-price margaritas.

*Update* Takeout service has been excellent for the past few years. Our order is always correct and the food is delicious! I highly recommend this Felipe's location. We will continue to order takeout once a month.

I place a takeout order from this location about once a month because we have 2 small children who prefer to stay in. The last 2 times we ordered, my food was wrong. Last time, I added sour cream and guacamole and paid for it but didn't receive them. This evening, I ordered sopes and received tostadas and they forgot to include the beans and rice (I double checked the menu and both dishes- tostadas and sopes- come with beans and rice). I love this location because we don't have a lot of options this far west, but I won't be ordering from here again.

Great food and fast service. The carne asada tacos are my favorite, and have a great serving size compared to other restaurants. We are seated quickly every time and shortly after chips and salsa are at the table. Drinks are well worth their price, you can taste the alcohol, if you're into that it's great!

Just moved here from out of state, this was our first time here. Was very obvious to see that this was a very popular spot. Once we were seated we did have to wait a while before we were waited on but, it looked like there was only one server for our area. The food, however, was delicious! Portions were huge! Will definitely be back.

We always have great service and the food comes out fast . They have excellent margaritas, and the Chile verde is the best I have ever had.

Great food and drinks

Got a call to come join a party here for dinner. Once I got there I noticed the light crowd. It was a Thursday night so it may be typical. The food and service nothing of the such. The wait staff was on top of it as you would expect for the amount of staff vs customers.. Didn't wait at all for putting in orders or getting refills on everything from drinks to tortillas. The food was great and the place was comfortable. We enjoyed everything and the price was right for what we had ordered. Most certainly I will enjoy this place again in the coming weeks. Try something new off that menu. Good job!!
