Room 38 Restaurant & Lounge

The food was beyond perfection! Ambiance was gorgeous! We went a couple days after Christmas, so it was all decorated beautifully with soft, warm lighting, and tons of battery lit candles. (My pics wash it out and don't do it justice), And the service was excellent! Can't recommend this place highly enough!!! I only with the bathroom was bigger and wheelchair accessible.

Lilly was an incredible server! Totally made us feel welcomed and kept our glasses full. The Surf and Turf was killer! Throw on some Cajun fries and it’s a done deal. We came here when it opened in a Friday night and we were older than anyone else by at least 20 years so we never came back. But then someone told us that they have a killer lunch, and they DO!!! I am so glad I found this lunch spot! Going again tomorrow. 2-26-24 Came again and the menu changed, but Brian was cooking and he was able to squeak out one more surf and turf! Delicious!!! Older, business crowd to impress at lunch (don’t be in a hurry). Hip, younger crowd to Tic and Tok at night.

The food was DELICIOUS! I went on a snowy Monday night and had the fried dumplings and steak frites, I was not disappointed at all. I love the upscale-ish atmosphere mixed with a sports bar feel. I would recommend this place to anyone. Our waitress was nice too (didn’t get her name, sorry!)

Came here for a last min birthday dinner with my sister almost 2 weeks ago made a reservation online which requires a $20 deposit. The food was ok i had wings and a salad the salad was huge couldn’t finish it the wings i was not a fan of…..i think the menu has changed since i was there last but the place is beautiful inside as well as their outside patio. Perfect for date night or a birthday dinner! A few days later i realized my $20 deposit was not used towards my bill and not refunded so i called and was able to speak to a manager about it. He was able to reach back out to me and resolve the issue and my deposit has been returned. The customer service received from management alone makes me want to give this place another try i really appreciated his prompt response to the issue. Will try to come back sometime and try their brunch!

Was visiting Room 38 for the first time today. We were part of a large group and the service was great. The drinks were regularly checked on, even for those of us drinking tea and pop. Their was a nice selection of appetizers available and the small plates were good sized. I enjoyed the Ahi Tuna and the others enjoyed their food. The only reason Atmosphere is not 5 stars is it was too loud for my taste.

We passed through Columbia and stopped here for brunch. Be sure to make reservations! They had a cancellation so luckily we got in. Our group had mimosas, loaded B+G, the chicken B+G, and I had the avocado toast. It was all SO GOOD! The staff were equally amazing.
Tips- make a reservation for weekend brunch and note that there’s a 2 hr time limit if you are having bottomless mimosas. A 20% tip is automatically included.

Tyler is amazing always makes sure we are taken care of and recommends the right drinks and food. The salmon burger is out of this world and so is the Sunday grilled cheese. You must must try the Carajillo drink. Amazing experience.

We've had three brunches catered for a group of ~35 participants of our academic recruiting event, and we plan to continue to ask Room 38 to cater our brunch. When choosing a caterer for a recruiting event, an important factor for me is being able to trust that what I request will be delivered, and I trust Room 38. Their food is delicious, beautifully presented and Soleil make ordering and setup a breeze. This year, we had a vegan candidate come to interview, and Room 38 went above and beyond to offer vegan options for her that weren't just fruits and veg. I would recommend Room 38 to cater any of your events.

Nice seating inside and out. Food was all very good. Tried 3 of the sharing plates. Crab Rangoon, pretzel bites, & the spicy chicken queso dip. My favorite was the pretzel bites. They were lightly colored but their taste was amazing. The Crab Rangoon was good, I'm not normally a fan and it was really well done. The queso, itself was really good, chips were either greasy or stale, I couldn't decide if they made them fresh or not, but seemed not up to the standards of the others.
Everyone enjoyed their meals, though we ordered too much. Chicken wings, candied bacon chicken sandwiches, Asian salad, & I can't recall what or friend's meal was called. But he also really enjoyed it.
Hubby recommends the seasoned fries if you like spicy, they are delicious.
Drinks, I had a strawberry rhubarb mojito, it was good, but could have used more mint leaves IMO, came with one and then maybe one more chopped up. Boys tried a beer. Kid had a lemonade, which she really enjoyed & had free refills. Watch for their specials.

Seating outside was really nice. It was finally not to hot out to enjoy relaxing outside. Very relaxing, very filling. A bit pricy, but we are on vacation. So the costs were not too much on our minds. For 3 of us it was over $85 before tip, the other two of us the cost was over $55 before tip. Not the most expensive place we've been, but still up there. Personally, I prefer a print out to see what we are being charged but they don't do that, it was all automated. Waitress was very friendly. Easy to understand, & did a great job.

Room 38 is one of my go-to spots. Consistently amazing service and delicious food. I recommend it to all my friends. Haley is an AMAZING server! She did an awesome job the most recent time I came out for brunch! Their sweet potato waffle fries are a must. Also can’t beat the happy hour pretzel balls! The seafood flatbread is also incredible!

As a wedding venue we are always looking for catering options that are upscale, unique, and delicious and we found what we were looking for when the Room 38 team walked in! The food was hot and tasted so good but it was their service, expertise and above-and-beyond attitude that was more impressive. We'd highly recommend them to cater and provide bar service for any of our couples.

Stopped by after reading reviews, and heh i hope all know to disregard a bad review from 2 years ago still at top because so many liked it. But anyway we loved the place, not all bright like some places, seats are comfortable and the staff working now are great. Olivia waited on us and we never had to ask for anything. The lobster bisque soup was great but the seared dumplings were some of the best we have ever had. I’m sure others have their favorites here. Raining too hard to sit outside but will come back again.

Game Day Review! 🐅🏈 We ordered a number of delicious appetizers! The drinks were also very nice. The staff worked as a team and were very attentive . Haley, our server, was tremendous! She was patient and kind during a home game and even made our friend’s birthday extra special with a flaming candle and gooey butter cake! She was knowledgeable, mature and great conversationalist all while helping her colleagues handle a packed house! I wish they could all be like Haley and the Room 38 Team! 🖤💛🐅🎂 🏈

First time here and it was fabulous. Not exactly the atmosphere we wanted or were looking for on a sunday morning though. Totally our fault since I didn't look in to the environment. Food and service was great even though it's pretty much reservation only besides the bar. Night recommend the bloody mary

Management is the kindest group of people, made sure we had enough time to enjoy our stay and accommodated to our party size with no problems. I would recommend this place again and again!

We had planned a last minute party and needed help with catering. We just moved our office across the street so Room 38 has been on our radar for just this circumstance. I was worried that with minimal notice they may not be able to accommodate but Soleil never faltered. From the initial phone call up until delivery communication was swift and concise. The food was perfect and everyone raved about the kebobs. Soleil even went above and beyond by helping me replate everything from the aluminum pans they were transferred in. She even brought over extra plates on a second trip as we had less on hand then I thought. We will definitely be ordering again soon! Thank you for making it so easy, Soleil!

Loved the brussel sprouts. Hot wings were really good too. Our server was really nice. I definitely want to come back to try some drinks.

Absolutely love this place. Best Sunday brunch in Columbia. The staff is amazing. The food is incredible. And they have some really good mimosas.
