It is a wonderful place to buy gifts: they will even wrap them, if you like. They are experienced at shipping just about anything in the store, in the safest yet most economical way. I love that their focus is on the region, the artisans & fine craftmanship of Missouri & the 8 adjacent states. It is always a pleasure to shop here!

Bluestem is a fabulous gallery which has done a wonderful job of selling my welded painted steel sculptures for over 25 years as well as the work of hundreds of other talented artists. A highly recommended anchor business of the downtown Columbia, Mo. area.

Bluestem Missouri Crafts in my opinion is the very best handcraft gallery in Missouri. Both as a vendor and as a buyer of very high quality authentic hand made crafts. Bluestem has the most amazing artistry crafts procured from
all around the midwest. A “must visit” in Columbia and worth a road trip if you are farther away. I find the most special gifts and decorative items for my home from Bluestem. Nothing is more special than an item created by an artist rather than a machine. The customer service is great too.

Through the years, we've made our way from Oklahoma to Bluestem. Such a creative and inspiring place! So many talented Missouri artists displaying their skilled and thoughtful crafts. We always manage to tuck several gifts in the car--and a few eye-catching items for ourselves as well.

I have bought many Artisan made things at Bluestem thru the years and still love every one of them. I also have been selling my hand dyed scarves there for 25 years. The owners are helpful and friendly.

I am both a consigning artist and a customer. The staff is very easy to work with and I trust them implicitly. Most of the purchases that I have made have been craft items for my wife (art glass, scarf, etc) and the quality is always there.

I wanted to send a special harp brooch to a musician friend in Washington state, having bought one for myself in Asheville, NC, earlier.
