Scuttlebutt Bar and Grill

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST FRIED CHICKEN I've ever eaten. It is broasted, which means it's fried in a pressure cooker. The skin is crispy but not hard. The meat is uber juicy, and it was brought to us hot out of the cooker.
Our server Katy was friendly, efficient, and checked on us often even though she was both the only server and only bartender.

My husband & l both had the dark meat, 4 piece basket, I had the broasted potatoes, and he had the regular skinny fries. We both had delicious cole slaw, which tasted homemade, a perfect side for the chicken.
My husband had an ice-cold beer, and l had rum & Coke.
This would've been 5 stars across the board, but surprisingly, people were smoking in there, so beware.
Although it didn't dampen my dinner experience one bit, it might be the deal breaker for others.
Next time, I'm trying the pork tenderloin! Great local dive bar. A+++

Scuttlebutt looks like more of a neighborhood place, but we instantly felt welcome here and were pleasantly surprised by the food! Had cheesburger and onion rings, Philly cheese, and fries. They brought out a special Mother's Day desert for all in honor of the two mom's in our party also!
Drinks were plentiful and great too.

Went for Bar Bingo. My family had a wonderful time, we had the mushrooms, which were actually sliced Portabellas. Philly with fries.
Craig is the caller of Bingo numbers. He has a great personality and is very funny.
We plan to make it a weekly outing.

Great vibe at this bar but the real deal is the food. Shoestring fries are cooked just right crispy ,soft inside, and right amount of salt. Absolutely loved the seasoning beer battered pork tenderloin. The best I have had so far. Chilli cheese dog was great as well really liked the Chilli.

A great little place in the world!!! A sweet little bar and grill with excellent service, great food, TouchTunes juke box, pleasant atmosphere.... I just keep going back, I really enjoy having lunch at Scuttlebutts!! Oh yes, for tea drinkers ... they have great iced tea!!!

Great Philly cheesesteak! Friendly staff. Always feel welcome and have fun.

Very friendly place. Came with friend and 5 kids. Even the regular patrons were friendly. Fun messages around the place and in bathrooms. Pickle fries were great.

Food was very good. All 4 of us enjoyed! Gave atmosphere 3 only because they allow smoking. We will be back.

This place is super clean, friendly, welcoming, and comfortable. I sat at the bar and was nicely greeted and served a beer. I haven't been much on the bar scene in several years, but the service from this place kinda made me want to bar hop again! Thanks for a good time Scuttlebutt!

The atmosphere was friendly and welcoming. The food is AMAZING. And it didn't take long at all! The Bartender was courteous and helpful. She was fast and on top of our drinks. Great experience with the Karaoke, he was so upbeat and kept the night moving.

First time here tonight, went with 7 other friends. Great little bar! They do a good job filtering the smoke out, it didn't bother my husband at all. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Will be going back soon, enjoyed their drinks and darts.

It is a smoking bar but they have great food, karaoke on Friday nights and in the winter bingo on Thursday.

They make something called Pulled Pork Nachos , which seems unusual but tastes great. Our server , Kandy B , was friendly and humorous , the atmosphere was relaxed and convivial , Happy Birthday to the fellows at the bar.

We are from saint Louis Missouri and we always go to the lake of the ozarks 4 times a year, we have never been to this restaurant and we happened to be driving by and thought we would try them out, we were so surprised of how great the food was and the server were very friendly and the service was fast so, within few days we invited few of our friends to a dinner and went back to this restaurant, the first time we were there I ordered the philly cheesesteak sandwich and it was very very delicious, the second time we came back I ordered the pork tenderloin and it was so great even my husband had two pork tenderloin on different occasions. We will definitely go back to this restaurant next year with friends keep up the good work guys.

The fried pickles ARE EVERYTHING, such perfection. Everything was fried to perfection, we were in awe of how fresh and handmade and perfect everything was. Service was awesome, atmosphere awesome.
