Old Kinderhook Resort, Golf Club, & Spa

We love this place and we most recently came to use the ice skating rink facility. It was a great afternoon and they have large fire pits and a snack bar with hot chocolate. The snack bar is expensive though so come prepared with either your own food or plenty of money. Shout out to the restaurant and bar on the premises called the Trophy Room. It's first class and we come at least a couple times a month or whenever possible.

Our plans changed but the excellent staff at OK took care of my cancellation, no problem. In any case, I have stayed here several times before and can’t recommend enough! We will be back again and again.

Room was very clean, bed was comfortable. Everyone I came in contact with was very nice. Location is off the beaten path-I honestly thought GPS was going to the middle of the woods- but once you get there, it's beautiful!

I was a guest at the Old Kinderhook Lodge the first weekend of the "off" season, in October 2023. I was traveling alone and had an absolute blast. I had read some not great reviews about the Lodge and hesitated staying there at first, but I am so glad I gave it a shot. It is not a new property but the golf course views were spectacular, and I loved the location.

The people at the front desk were SO kind, Walter, Stephanie, and Qa'ani. They were so proud of their area and spent quite a bit of time telling me exciting things to do while visiting Lake of the Ozarks. Their recommendations were all delightful. They even had a print out of all the fun things to do while in the area.

The first night I stayed at the resort I had dinner, by myself, at the lodge and was taken care of by Robin. She advised me where to hike and could not have been more kind, even though she was very busy. She was amazing!

The next morning I had a massage by Doris and enjoyed the steam room at the spa. Doris has "magic hands." I have had a lot of massages and Doris is truly gifted. The steam room was really hot and exactly what I needed after a deep tissue massage.

I hiked at Ha Ha Tonka State Park and ate at some of the places suggested to me by the staff. I definitely will return. Thank you to all the staff who made my stay memorable.

Old Kinderhook takes place in a gorgeous and quiet setting. They offer a variety of activities including: ice skating in winter, volleyball, swimming for guests (indoor and outdoor), golf, and spa.

We were there for a hockey tournament and this was the most accommodating hotel we have ever stayed at.

Old Kinderhook has been a part of our family for years. Unfortunately this last visit was for a celebration of life for my Aunt but we made the best of a sad situation. My husband loves playing golf there so we did golf on Friday before the wake on Saturday. Afterwards we went & relaxed by a fire pit to prepare ourselves for the next day & what was to come 😢It’s so beautiful & has a very homey feel to it & the employees are very kind & accommodating & treat you like you’re family. Christine & Blake & the rest of the employees I don’t know by name are all great! Christine was decorating beautiful Christmas trees & even customizing one for a couple that is having their wedding there! That’s personalized service and she was enjoying every minute of it ❤ My Aunt & my cousins live in Camdenton & Old Kinderhook is where we always stay when visiting our Camdenton family. We hope to be able to visit again real soon❤

The rooms were very nice! The location was beautiful, we also had dinner there and the food was great as well, and the open bar was very nice!

I was there for a conference. The place was really nice. The food was great. The staff was nice. I can recommend this place without reservation.

My husband and I stayed for a week at Old Kinderhook. We were impressed just driving into the property as it is beautiful. We were greeted by Christine Williams who did a great job checking us in and was most pleasant and helpful in many ways. She answered a lot of questions and showed us a couple of rental properties. Christine went above and beyond in assisting us during our stay. Our room was great and we had a great view on the 4th floor overlooking the property and golf course which we thoroughly enjoyed. We loved staying at Old Kinderhook and would recommend it to anyone.

Old Kinderhook remains the preeminent golf course at the lake. It was a long day behind a tournament on a day, heavy rain and cart path only, but it wasn't anyone's fault. Just that sort of day. There's kind of an attitude around the clubhouse though. Many people seemed kind of put out that you would dare ask a question; they answered, "you already should know this". Pro shop, cart staff, snack bar (except for the very nice lady who intervened). On course beverage service very good. Stayed in private quarters.

Meal service outside the restaurants is not the best, but still very good. We had the Taste of Italy buffet. Asking for special dietary needs crests a problem.

We visit at least twice a year. Love the cottage! Everything is perfect!! And the easy access to the water and the use of the kayaks, other equipment and the dock, just make it that much more amazing!
Will definitely be back again!!!

One of the better hotels in this area, even when I'm just staying for business in the area I look them up. Staff were very accommodating on a Sunday night when the hotel was objectively full, squeezed me in, but it didn't feel like a squeeze. A little remote from restaurants, but the one on site at the trophy room is quite excellent though rowdy sometimes from end of day golfers.

Rooms were a great value.
The staff was friendly and helpful.
Restaurant had good food and drinks.
The views were very nice and there is an outdoor skating rink, wish I'd brought my skates.

We found this place while searching for a hotel to stay at to see a concert at the Ozark Amphitheater. We made several phone calls through the week and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. When we checked in on the weekend, the front desk staff were not as friendly... The hotel offered a 3rd party shuttle to the concert for a very reasonable price which worked out great. We ended up golfing at the course there, which was awesomely maintained with beautiful surroundings. A complaint is the cafe was only serving hot food from 11-3 and the restaurant did not serve dinner until 4. It would have been nice to grab something good to eat while we were waiting to get into our room at 4. Everything considered, I would definitely stay there again but ask for a higher floor room with a view of the pool and golf course.

We stay one night at this resort was a beautiful place. The room was very nice and clean. Our room had a balcony that overlooked a golf course, with beautiful large homes around. Since we didn't  use any of resort amenities, when we checked out we ask Jason, front desk clerk, to get a refund for resort amenities he said, that he could accommodate, and he credited our bill. He was very nice, helpful. Thank you Jason. A very pleasurable visit, with beautiful surroundings.
