Amazing food and great place to unwind and have a few drinks after a long work week!! My girlfriend and I came here for lunch, and we both had bacon cheeseburgers with a drink. Everything was perfect and the burgers are definitely huge and delicious.

The employees make you feel like your at home with family. There burgers are the best in town! I also love there Ruben sandwiches. There onion rings are the biggest in town.

I am new to the area, and a friend of mine stopped in. We decided we wanted a steak for dinner and ended up at "Chances R", we were greeted at the door by the owner, and seated by the cook, and it was immediately obvious, the staff were all "family". Everyone helped everyone to ensure no customer was needing anything, and everyone was happy. I felt very welcomed, by everyone. Our waitress was funny, witty, and had a smile everytime I saw her.
THE FOOD WAS FREAKING AMAZING! Large potions, fair prices, my ribeye was cooked perfectly, the meatloaf looked great, the deserts were awesome. I had a really good experience, and "Chances R I will be back"

Can't beat this local diner for breakfast!!! Huge portions and fast, friendly service. Ate here 3 straight days in a row, never missed a beat. Yummy 🥞 Love a place that offers a beverage to go. The hostess running the seating on the weekends, does a great job!

I’ve honestly eaten here for every meal one weekend it’s not hard to do with so many great options. Chicken fried steak and the ribeye are my personal faves! The friendly staff make for a good down home restaurant experience.

I’ve been eating there for over 10 years. The food and service can’t be beat. Never had a bad meal, fried chicken, prime rib, steak, sandwiches and specials are alway excellent. Highly recommended to everyone. The breakfast is to die for as well as the Liver and onions!

As always food was great and service GREAT..we had steaks ...PERFECT...chef salad I loved it...French dip delicious...

Absolutely some of the finest fried chicken I've ever had. Service was fast and friendly and the prices were super affordable. I was too full for the desserts but the pie and cobbler selection looked fantastic. Definitely worth getting to even if you have to drive a bit.

I’ve been coming to Chances R for 16 years (since I was 4 or 5) and it has never been a disappointment. From coming all the time with my family during the summer (we’re from Kansas City) and coming with my friends as I got older, this has been my favorite place to go for a low key lunch or dinner. Nice dive bar atmosphere. Smoking on one side is great if you like smoking with another room with no smoking. Food is always great. Service has been amazing. Betty the server is an awesome and kindhearted person and always knows what she’s doing. The manager and owner have always been so kind and available if we have any questions and asking us if we’re doing ok. Great mom and pop place. Don’t listen to the other negative reviews.

If you want a laid back atmosphere and amazing food.. this is the place! The service was a bit slow (to be fair we were on the bar side and the dining room side was busy) but our server Betty was fantastic! When we were ready for our bill and it wasn't ready yet she told us to get another drink! We LOVE that kind of humor! The hamburger soup was delicious (owner wouldn't give me the recipe but I would trade him my secret chicken wild rice soup recipe if he changes his mind 😘) i ordered the smothered chicken and I could die the first bite. So good! Hubby got fried chicken and there was so much my Jarhead needed a to-go box! Seriously, if you want laid back, comfortable, amazing food and drinks... Chances R is the place you need to be!

Never had anything but great food and service here. Best fried chicken I've ever had and the prices are exceptional for what you get. The servers are the best anywhere.

First place I ate when moved to the lake 8 years ago still my favorite place love being greeted by the girls they make me feel like family when I don’t have any down here!

We really really enjoyed our food here. Kind of old school Diner feel with great service! Anne-Marie and Pam where fantastic! They went above and beyond to make our breakfast awesome! I know there are a couple places you can eat breakfast here in town, and Chance's R is one of the best!
