Buffalo Prairie Care Center

They did a great job with my Mom's recovery. They had no problems meeting her changing needs and treatment plans. The staff and administration were responsive to her needs and listened to her and any concerns we had as the family. Mom has had a rough go over the past year and we have been blessed with a lot of good providers but when I tell you that she has completed treatment at this facility with no issues of med errors, not one incident report or fall you should take that very seriously if you are considering a rehab or placement for your loved one. Outside of the staff being so friendly and caring, the food was terrific. No one could get my Mom to eat but she has gotten her appetite back and is her strength is renewed. This placement was a pleasant, pleasant surprise and so close to home!

I love working at Buffalo Prairie Care Center. I've worked here for a little over a year and I've been treated like nothing less than family. We all love and care about each other, residents and staff both. We have an amazing management team, and I've heard from the residents that they feel comfortable here, that it's their home away from home. I would recommend Buffalo Prairie Care Center to anyone who would like their family and friends to be treated like family. Let our home be your home. :)

Buffalo Prairie has the most caring and loving staff there is for a nursing home. I would highly recommend putting any of my family that was in need of a nursing home in Buffalo Prairie. I have been inside several nursing homes and you will not find a more loving place

This a a smaller home which makes it very homey. I absolutely love the memory care unit, they have nice outside flowers and a place to sit to enjoy them. They also get a homestyle meal three times a day.

They have gone above and beyond to make the employee feel appreciated. Great place to work! Best pay around!

It is a wonderful facility with wonderful people! Truly feels like home when you walk through the front door!

I don’t think this is some terrible facility by any means. The staff has generally been friendly and I have never seen them mistreat residents. I don’t think the facility will at all mistreat your loved one. I just have had trouble when the church I pastor tried to organize a bible study. We really tried to do a simple midweek study for the residents, but the staff would never work with us to help get residents there and wouldn’t even give us a consistent location where we could meet. It was disappointing. It also seems like every year that we try to organize our Christmas caroling with them they always “forget” that we called a few weeks in advance and then often the day of to make sure they were ready for us.

It’s a nice place. I know for sure that they love their residents, but they have some issues with organization.

Buffalo Prairie is a small facility. Everyone knows the residents and each one of them are uniquely special! I enjoy being with them!

It's a good facility only problem is no real activity program so that's why I give it 4

I truely enjoy my job at BP i have been employed there for 3yrs and have never found any reason not to want to recommed this home to anyone who is looking for a place to home there loved one.

My grandma was here she died here everyone is right they don't take care of the elderly

I worked a shift here through an Agency and was not at all impressed! Running off 4hrs of sleep from a previous 16hr shift I decided to take a nap on my break time. I was in the memory care unit so I took it next to a coworker so if they needed me I would be right there. I wake up to the assistant Administrator freaking out on me for “sleeping on the job” told me to get my things and leave. I tried explaining I was on a break but she refused to listen, when I tried to get my things together to leave the situation as she was screaming in front of residents and causing a scene, she called the cops because I wasn’t getting my things fast enough for her. She then proceeded to threaten my pay for the hours that I was there for stating that I would not be paid. This place is extremely unprofessional and I watched staff ignore needs of residents throughout the 5hrs that I was there that day. I will be reporting to state my observations and turning in video recording of the whole incident, I DO NOT recommend working for this company let alone giving them the responsibility of taking care of your loved ones.

Giving this place one star, is still one star too much.
The administration definitely makes money on your loved ones. They had over 15 people that hadn't had a documented shower in months, when showers started being given, laundry couldn't keep up. The sores on bottoms are pretty rough but changing residents more requires more staff. The staffing is awful-and lunches are mandatory but good luck getting one. don't worry, Karen Burns has to approve you getting your lunch back- and you still have to watch your paychecks. Not one during my time there was correct. State also did survey for the 1st time since 2019- they are plenty aware of the shitshow being ran. If you have a loved one here, i strongly suggest moving them.

Horrible place for employment or residents! The fact that it takes over a month to fire an employee that sprayed a resident with chemicals?! Management is horrible. Never there. When they are, an accident with your family will just 'disappear' off record. I will never place anyone I care about here!

I give this place a No star and I would keep your family away from this place they never have enough staff and the Administrator doesn't care about the residents and it's not a clean place and the staff is rude
