Barn and Grill

I had breakfast and dinner here in the same day because it was so good. The bacon was nice and thick and the biscuits and gravy were top notch. For dinner I had the all you can eat fried chicken, with mashed potatoes and gravy and fettuccini & white sauce for my sides. The fried chicken batter they use is really good... would pass grandma’s test for sure. I was too full to enjoy and pie, but they sure had some great looking items to choose from. The next time I’m rolling down I-44, I’ll stop at Barn and Grill again!

My boyfriend and I are from the St. Ann , MO area (about 1 and a half hours from Bourbon, MO) but he had to meet someone in Bourbon for a business deal so I went along with him. Since we had not eaten and we had a long drive back home, we decided to stop and eat. The Barn and Grill was around the corner and their menu (I looked online) looked really good, so we thought we'd give it a try. Let me just say, I'm so glad we did.
I ordered the pumpkin spice Belgian waffle because I love everything pumpkin. It came with 2 eggs, three slices of the BEST BACON I'VE EVER HAD and wedges of breakfast potatoes. The waffle was thick, pumpkin-y and delicious, the amount of potatoes were very generous, the eggs were eggs like my aunt makes (AMAZING) and the bacon.... I don't know what kind they use, I should have asked, but it's to die for. It's thick cut, almost a jerky texture with the best taste I've ever had as far as bacon. I paid $10.99 for all of that. My boyfriend ordered the fried cheese sticks that were breaded, not battered, and was overly impressed. And he's hard to please when it comes to food. Not only was our food amazing and hot, it came out within 10 minutes, which I was very impressed about.
Lastly, upon walking to the bathroom, I noticed a GIANT cinnamon roll in the display case. I ordered one to-go and have yet to try it yet, but I'm sure it's just as amazing as the rest of their food. And, it was under $2.
Lastly, the service was great! Our server was Carlee and she was very friendly and helpful.

Now, I'm seriously debating driving the hour and a half again, just to have this food again! I want to try more of the menu.

If you're in the Bourbon area, or passing through, STOP AT BARN AND GRILL!!!! You won't regret it.

Wish we didn't live 4 hours away. This place is amazing! Nancy was literally on top of our service. And this place actually knows how to make perfect over medium eggs! Great food and awesome service!

Can I rate 6 stars?? GREAT fried chicken, taters and green beans! Amazing service, encouraging music playing. I'll be back even though I live over an hour away!

Food was excellent. When we got there they closing the invited us in. They more than happy that we were there.

Very good little restaurant. The portions are huge. Now I have lunch for the next two days lol.

Came in after looking at other reviews. The food was absolutely delicious. I would suggest unless you are starving to avoid the starters as you get ample amounts of food with the main dish. Both my wife and I were very full and happy with the meals. Service was also on point. I never had an empty glass and when it got close the waitress addressed that she noticed as passing by to help another table then was prompt with a refill.

Love the Jesus sign. Awesome! I pulled and just because of that. God bless you guys and your business! Five stars.

Loved it. Stopped on way somewhere to eat here for breakfast and it WAS outstanding. Sausage gravy was wonderful, not pasty, very favorable. Hash browns were crispy not greasy. Eggs cooked to perfection. Will definitely stop again when we are in the area.

Great all you can eat catfish dinner. My daughter had the alligator and she stated it was the best she has ever had. This is coming from someone that gets it in Florida. The portions are pretty big and for the price you cannot beat it. Barn and Grill was an unexpected surprise and it will be worth the drive from our home to eat there again. Oh and do not forget to get some pie! Finally, the staff is great. I left my credit card on the counter and didn't realize it until I was down the road. They secured it and had it waiting for me when I returned.

The chicken today had a drumstick as big as my thumb. I do not know where they found such tiny chickens, but was not good at all. I have eaten here before when it was good, but will get my fried chicken elsewhere.

I came back again on April 6 to see if the chicken had improved. I am happy to say it was extremely good, need to change my rating!!

We were just passing thru and ordered our food to go . It was amazing food and great customer service ! We started with the gator bites and they were cooked to perfection ! My boyfriend ordered the prime rib and loved it , I had the country fried steak that was amazing and our friend had the catfish dinner that were very small from what were used too but otherwise he said they were good as well (we recommend ordering the 4 piece) . Definitely a place I would go back to if we're ever coming thru here again !!!

staff is awesome amazing, food is awesome. I absolutely do not eat fish but will tear their fried catfish up. and i never had Alligator before until i tried it here and it is now my fav dish that they serve. OMG i love this place!!

This is our favorite place to stop when traveling through Bourbon MO. They serve breakfast all day long but the fried chicken is my favorite. The catfish dinner is a close second. The staff is always extremely friendly and attentive and the prices are very reasonable.

All you can eat fish on Friday was outstanding. Especially liked the sweet potato fries with brown sugar glaze. Breakfast on Sunday morning was filling and satisfying and the service was very cheerful.

Enjoyed there all you could eat chicken. Delicious!!! Best tasting fried chicken I've had in a long time. Service was awesome too. Price was great. Definitely my favorite place to stop off I-44

FANTASTIC meal! One of the best Cheeseburgers I've ever had! (And I've had a lot of Cheeseburgers). LOL! Staff was super friendly! Bought a cinnamon roll and had it for breakfast the next morning. Wow! It was SO good! 5 stars all the way!

A VERY nice restaurant, the people are as nice as you'd want someone to be.
The food is off the hook.. I'VE BEEN there now several times. They serve" GOOD ol down home cooking "😉 Also some delicacies... for instance Alligator... shrimp,.etc.
I'VE been there for breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals... never had I been disappointed.
I strongly recommend it, if you are in the Bourbon,MO. area. Or if you want to take a road trip, and want to experience great food while doing so... I'm sure you will not... be..

A pleasant unplanned stop! Just so happened that everyone was hungry so we stopped at the first place we saw. So glad we did! The best chicken sandwich I've ever eaten! Huge! Flavorful! Amazing! If we didn't live 4 hours away, I'd go back again and again!

Amazing food, got the fried catfish and it was some of the best I've ever had. Friendly, lively staff. Cozy and warm. Very clean establishment. Would visit again! ♡
