El Nopal Sullivan

Excellent Mexican food found here. When I arrived in the late afternoon on a Friday they were almost full but they found a booth for me. The waitress and the whole restaurant was super busy but the waitress was not delayed in getting my drink, chips and salsa, taking my order, delivering my order, and refilling my tea. She did an excellent job servicing me and juggling other customers needs. Got enchiladas verdes with rice and refried beans and everything on this plate was spot on. Chips and salsa were an added touch. The place was clean and well lit. Background music was a nice mix of Spanish songs.

This is a quaint roadside Mexican restaurant. The chips are served warm, the restaurant is super clean, and the staff is very attentive! You couldn't ask for more.

I make sure to stop in here anytime I drive through town. Salsa is always great, service is top notch, and food always hits the spot! Make sure you come here next time you're around.

My wife and I love Mexican, this place was not too expensive and our meals were great. The margaritas were on special and tasted excellent. We are on a vacation road trip. I would plan a stop here next vacation.

Delicious Authentic Mexican Food! If you are travelling to or through St. Louis on I 44, make sure to stop by and visit this place. The Nopal rolls are a specialty you won't find anywhere else! Chicken, black beans spinach and feta cheese are all rolled into one delicious, fresh flour tortillas and then fried to culinary perfection! The beef in their fajitas or quesadillas is melt in your mouth tender and seasoned well. Salsa has a very good flavor and their soft corn tortillas are simply delightful. Don't pass this place up!

The food came out quickly and was superb! You receive chips and salsa with every meal. The wait staff is friendly and made sure our glasses never emptied.

They have as cozy of a small town restaurant as you'll find anywhere! Only open 3 years. Great food, very clean, daily lunch specials, friendly staff and it's busy, but not too busy.

The atmosphere is nice, the service is prompt. Even busy nights are nice here.
Great, authentic tasting food.

The food and service here are wonderful. I enjoy every meal I get from here. Some of the best meals are the carne asada, fajitas, and the steak de la paz. And the cheese dip is amazing.

We eat at El Nopal several times a month. The service is always awesome. The food is ALWAYS AMAZING... you won't be disappointed Not too many places you can get great food, great service and for portion size we always have enough for a snack layer or lunch the next day.

Decor could use a refresh.

We ate at noon on a Monday and the place was dead. The server was terrific! Mushroom quesadilla was delicious as always!

Always a great place to eat, the food is really good. Staff is always friendly and courteous, pleasant atmosphere, the booths are comfortable to sit in.

The food was excellent. The service was great. We were celebrating two birthdays and didn't really expect anything special, but our waitress brought an order of fried ice cream to our table. The birthday celebration was complete and everyone enjoyed the evening. We plan to eat there every time we visit Sullivan, MO.
