La Tapatia mexican restaurant

We just recently tried this restaurant, and have only been here 3 times. We have tried several different dishes, we have really liked everyone so far. One thing I really appreciate at this particular restaurant is: the menu & service. The menu has so much more options than just the basic typical Mexican food. There are a lot of great things to choose from. The menu is huge. Secondly, the service is exceptionally attentive and great. We never have a glass get half empty, or dirty dishes piling up on our table, and the salsa and chips/ dips are constantly filled. We have several mote things to try, but I'll be posting more pictures as we go.

This little Mexican restaurant never disappoints. The food is consistently high quality and reasonably priced. They have a huge menu with all the classics you would expect: tacos, enchiladas, burritos, fajitas, and much more. The Fajitas Cancun (pictured) is amazing... sizzling hot fish, scallops, and crab meat on a bed of mixed peppers and onions. The house margaritas are good, but go for the top shelf margarita for a real treat. The service is friendly and very fast. You can easily get in and out for a quick lunch break.

Oh this place!!! So so good and on Monday you buy a margarita and get one free! Woo-hoo! They are not the usual watered down margaritas either like some places...these will put a kick in your step with the very first one. Try the fajitas with tilapia and crab chunks(imitation but it's yummy) and shrimp if you like seafood. So good...love this place. They also have outside dining.

I come here every time I visit Hillsboro. The service is excellent and the food is impeccable. Favorite place in Hillsboro!

Amazing servings for low price that are packed with flavor. My go to is the tamales supreme but you can't go wrong with anything on their long menu. Service is good but can be slow even when the restaurant isn't packed.

Excellent Mexican food. We used to drive over 2 hours to go to my favorite Mexican restaurant and since finding this little gem it is the only place we go! They have an excellent white sauce, for doing those warm chips or adding on top of my enchilada! The service is always great and so are the frozen Margaritas! We always take Mom, who loves it too, and voila, built in designated driver! Win, win, win, all the way around!!

Great prices and service. Chips and salsa were okay. With some additional salt, I was satisfied. I ordered the fajita taco salad. Presentation was good and the flavor matched. Steak inside was great. Would be happy to eat there again.

This place is definitely a hidden gem like a lot of people have said. Quick service(we went on a Saturday night), good food, and good drinks! The prices are great to :) will definitely be back.

The first time we came here I ordered something that I wasn't very crazy about, but I'm glad we gave them another chance.

I am not sure if ownership has changed hands, but the last time I was here (at least a year ago) the food was just ok. This time, it was amazing! I had a burrito with pork. The meat was well cooked, not fatty or tough and plentiful. The veggies were nicely chopped and also tender. The cheese dip was your pretty average white cheese but had a bit of a zip to it. My husband said his burrito was also very good.

The decor is not winning any awards but the restaurant overall was clean. We have tried a few other places in town only to wait 30+ minutes for our food (restaurant was not busy either) so it was nice to have our food brought out promptly.

Pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. We will be back for sure!

The fajita looked amazing..my lunch Chimichanga could have been two bites bigger but I was full when done with the refried beans, rice, chips, salsa(request the spicier salsa, I mixed it a bit with the mild for a perfect medium/hot blend) plus a birthday meant they sang at out table and fried ice cream (I think that's what it was called, it was delicious). Great Margaritas. The medium size was perfect but talked an hour before I drove.

I love this place. The food is awesome, the chips and salsa are amazing! The only thing I wish they had was more white wine options, such as Pinot Grigio or Sauvignon Blanc instead of just Chardonnay. But everything else is awesome! I’ve never had bad food there ever.

OK so this is the first time we have eaten here and oh my gosh this place is fabulous!! We will definitely be back for more and for some of their apparently awesome margaritas (basing this off of a very Friendly gentleman at the bar). But I will definitely let ya'll know how they are from my own personal opinion 😀

Excellent food, excellent prices. Never, ever empty which is what you want when you go out to eat. As a Hillsboro Native this is our spot. We are here sometimes 3 to 4 times a month. Service is on point. Prices are amazing and the staff is incredibly nice and competent. I don't drink but every time I see their giant margaritas my mouth waters. This brings me to the only "knock" on the place. It can be loud in the main area of the restaurant. It doesn't bother me. It can bother others but the place serves tequila laden drinks so what do you expect?!

The house made chips and salsa are great. If you like a spicier salsa with your chips try their classic Verde salsa (its free but you have to ask for it). It is smoky and spicy with just the right amount of both.

The building and décor is what you would expect. It has never been considered to be filthy to me but it will also never pass a white glove inspection.

If you find yourself in the area and don't know where to go this is it!

I love the food here out of any Mexican restaurant I have been to. The service and atmosphere are nice and friendly, and the staff are always amazing.

My wife & I ate supper here last Friday night. Restaurant was packed, but we were waited on and served fairly quickly. I had the Burrito Fajita. This is now my 'go to' meal at this restaurant! It is Huge, filled with steak, and I could only eat about half of it. The tortilla chips they bring when you first sit down, were still very hot out of the oven. The salsa was too spicy for us, but it was still very tasty. Overall, a decent Mexican restaurant with good food, and close to home. Will return again soon.
