Summit Hickory Pit BBQ

My husband and I had the pleasure of dining in at summit hickory pit bbq. We order the burnt ends and queso chips appetizer first. The dip was outstanding. Would be great for fries too. We also had a jalapeño margarita, “sweet and spicy” b beverage, which is a good margarita where the sweetness of the lime hits you then you get a little mild burn from the jalapeño. This is a must try. The smoked Ruben was very lean and tasty. The big sausage had great flavor with just a mild bit of spicy. Our service as fast and friendly from Colin. This will be a regular visiting place for us!

Loved it, somehow it lived up to the K.C. BBQ reputation. I say that because my expectations were sky high. Everything was amazing, the wings, ribs, pulled pork, and burnt ends.

The BBQ and Cajun sauce was amazing.
The service was great, so is the atmosphere. I just wish it was closer to Toronto.

Excellent food, great atmosphere. Great Bbq everytime I've been. Prices went up recently, a little too much in my opinion. They have room for a big group of needed.

4/30/17 - Visited again today. Awesome. Baby Back Ribs meal, Burnt Ends sandwich and more. Hot fries, and food came so fast. Excellent service. Bloody Mary was excellent, only $4.95, and a full 16 oz.

The plate was plentiful and delicious. The mac n cheese was decent. The gf got the burnt ends and sausage plate. Seemed a bit light on the ends but was very good. For sides she got cheesy corn (she loved them) and potato casserole which I liked as well. My friend got the smoked chicken which he hugged all of so I have no idea, but he seemed to like it. The pit beans that he had for a side was sweet but good. Would definitely go back

Summit Homes placed an order for 20 boxed lunches. All the food was fresh, hot and tasted awesome. Placing the order was very easy, all orders were received correct. Staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We would definitely go back and would recommend this restaurant for lunches to go. Thanks for making our team feel special!

This was a wonderful place to eat. The service was fantastic, the food was interesting and delicious. The prices were just about perfect.

A local family owned BBQ restaurant that is located in Lee's Summit, MO. Yet serves KC and beyond. Known for there slow smoked meats, from scratch sides, desserts and lets not forget the cocktails. On a recent visit I had the chance to enjoy the Smoked Turkey Club which was AMAZING!! Those beans though they are just sinful and definitely are the best I have ever had. From the bar a fresh mojito made with real mint and fresh fruit is the perfect summer drink. If you know me you know I love a great dessert and the homemade bread pudding did not disappoint. Just come hungry is all I can say. You will love everything about this place. From the decor, bbq and friendly staff this is exactly why they have been around since 1992. :)

Please note I was really enjoying my meal and forgot to photography the turkey club so I shared a pic of the Pulled Pork Sliders my friend enjoyed. It was a really impressive appearance.

Friendly staff, best BBQ in Lee's Summit, extra sauce comes out hot, my favorite is the sausage medallions, join the rewards program!

We attended a baby shower in their private party room & it was amazing! They have wonderful BBQ Sausage Medallions & awesome pickles! Adorable gift shop in the restaurant also :)

Been a while since eating here, but the wife and I had our valentine's dinner a few days early. The food is as good as anywhere. I however am not a fan of the coleslaw, because I prefer creamy slaw. I had the burnt end and sausage dinner, and it was very good. We also had the combo appetizer plate to start things off that was really good as well. My wife had the rib dinner and said they were very tender and good. The service was excellent too.

The best baby back ribs in KC! The burnt ends are so tender...there's no better barbecue around!! Oh, the bread pudding...to die for!

Great service, everything on the menu is good. They sell their BBQ sauce to take home too.

Tonight was our first time to this establishment and to put it mildly, it did NOT disappoint. Thank you to our server, Emmy, for the wonderful service...I hope your supervisor takes notice of your excellent attitude!! The food was delicious and the portions were very generous....yes, we needed a box for the rest to take home. The meats were smoked to perfection and the sauce was "supremo". We WILL dine here again!!

It was fantastic!! Pulled pork,brisket,beans,cheesy corn and cole slaw. All of my favorites.

The food was great! The waitress was super kind and helped my party of 9 get the most food for our money (even when it would have arguably been more advantageous to her tip to not)! I recommend getting the “dinner for two” platters but only if you’re wanting lots of leftovers or are sharing it with 3 or 4 people!

BBQ was good. Couple of us had the beef burnt ends and they were lean and kinda soft but think they could have been fattier or softer, so we both thought we have had better at other BBQ places. The baked beans, cole slaw, and french fries were all great!

Loved our lunch visit yesterday! This was our first time in and our waitress was great! She recommended her favorites and was knowledgeable about the menu and food. We never even got close to an empty drink, the food was prepared fast and tasted great! We will definitely come back the next time we are in the area.

We were for out of town and in Lee's Summit, just outside of Kansas City, MO for a special family anniversary.
The family had reserved a private room at Summit Hickory Pit BBQ. So we didn't actually select this place on our own, but now I certainly would.
The restaurant staff were very cordial as helpful with the decorating and setting up the video system.
The food we ordered was great...ribs, BBQ chicken quarter, salads, baked sweet potatoes, home cut fries, etc.
Bar drinks were also available.
This is a great place whether it's for a private party or just a dinner out.

Wow! I'm eating here right now and I'm blown away by the entire experience. The food is amazing to say the least. I ordered the burnt ends and sliced beef with beans and fries and WOW! Tender, juicy, and amazing. Even the fries are great. And the servers are nice and helpful. I never had an empty sweet tea glass! Thanks Jillian and thanks y'all!
