JJ Twig's Pizza & Pub

This is a great little restaurant. The food is always pretty good and the service is satisfactory. I recommend trying the fried pickles. I get them every time welcome here. They also support the local schools. I have not tried the pizza but the kids did and they really enjoyed it. When stumped for a place to eat in South City. Give it a try.

We had group of 8 for lunch. I had beef and sausage combo sandwich with onion rings. Others had lunch pizza specials, grilled chicken breast sandwich, salads, pasta, and chicken wings. Everyone absolutely loved the food and service. We even asked to meet the chef, because the food was so good. He was very gracious and appreciative. Our server was excellent. We will definitely be returning for future work lunches. Thanks!!!

Great pizza, local business. Service was fast, and helpful. Waitress Nina was on top of serving us as well as giving us a couple suggestions. I dont know how noisy it gets at night as we were there for an early lunch. The buffalo chicken pizza was great with suggested jalapenos!

This place is sooo cozey and kind of exclusive. Super clean and the design is nice too. Outside patio area reasonable size for groups of people. The Pizza is very unique. I recommend this place. If I want pizza I'll drive across town just to come here. The "Meat Me In St.Louis is a must try with banana peppers and extra sauce.

This restaurant is right across the street from my salon so it's extremely convenient. I also use it for my clients that are getting long hair services and get hungry. ❤ Great staff!!

A couple of months ago, I had some out of town visitors, and I wanted to treat them to something typically St Louis. I planned to take them to Imo's, but Imo didn't have any gluten free options so we wound up at JJ Twig's just down the street instead. A great choice. Yesterday I wanted to treat myself to an early Father's Day, so I ordered a Double Decker Meat Me In St Louis, a carnivore's dream. The only thing it doesn't have is some Gioia's Hot Salami (but you can get that on a different pizza). Order ahead - artisanal quality takes time.

The burgers are very good. We ordered 3 different types and all were very tasty, fresh and not greasy. A couple of our group remarked about the excellent onion rings, crisp and not soggy.

Good stuff, had the Super Mario with the added mushrooms + onions. Very tasty thin crust pizza and loaded with toppings.

Trashed wings for an appetizer were also great, I probably wouldn’t order them again because I prefer regular sauced or dry rubbed wings, but they were a tasty deviation from your typical wing.

Only downside was I never got a drink refill, but I also didn’t explicitly ask for one when the waitress popped over to our table so I can’t really fault them there.

Overall, will definitely be back!

So, JJ Twig's isn't your average ordinary bar/pizza joint. Been here a few times, live near by, and always enjoyed the pizza. The also have Hank's Cheesecake!!! I am a GF person so that play in any meal decision I make. Thos GF crust is very well done. Not the typical potato starch and rice flour, but a nice thin crust that closely mimics a regular St. Louis style thin crust. One of the thinest GF crusts I've had and probably the most enjoyable. But overshadowing the crust were the toppings. Fresh flavors, and not over done. The sauce isn't overpowering but tasty... The cheese, that stringy mozzarella that were used to get when we were kids. Yep, same stuff that you now have to search for. Then they also use feta to add another level of flavor and a lil different texture in the mix. Alltogether, a great mix of toppings, good consistency, well covered crust that makes this boy very happy. Now, desert. Hank's cheesecake is a local favorite, from the Richmond Heights area. Just the right top off for a fantastic meal. Anyonr interested in White Chocolate Raspberry? Yep, its here... Indulge!

Loved the Southside Pride double decker. Would definitely recommend to a friend.

If you want to try a different style of pizza this is the place to go. Choose from any of the double stacked Pizza's and you can't go wrong. Seasoned waitresses and a nice quiet atmosphere for dining.

Had the double crust lunch pizza and loved it. I splurged for three toppings. Great flavor and was a lot of food for lunch, so had leftovers for dinner.

The food is always exceeding my expectations!! The pizza is always perfect, the dough is just the right thickness to let the toppings be the star of the show. The buffalo chicken wrap was delicious, just the right amount of sauce and the chicken was so tender. The fries are amazing and the burger is literally the best burger I’ve ever had- buttery, juicy and well seasoned. We always go here when we are in the area and are never disappointed!

I've driven past this place 100 times and thought it looked fun. Finally ordered a thin crust specialty and it was amazing. We have some good options around for pizza but I'll be getting JJ Twig's again!

One of my fav pizza places in the area. The crust is amazing! Definitely try the pizza that has a nelly inspired name (can’t remember the actual name lol). The pretzels and mini corn dogs were okay, but the pizza was the main hit.

My first visit and I really enjoyed it. The pizza sauce was delicious, just a touch of sweetness. Toppings were generous and service was efficient and friendly. I'm not sure how to describe the style of pizza - we had a double decker, sort of a doubled up thin crust. Certainly not Chicago style, but an interesting change from everything else out there. Also had a salad with the house dressing which was very tasty.

I really couldn't find anything not to like, unless it was slightly pricey. I'll definitely return.
