Pine Mountain Country Coffee House & Mercantile

If you look at my rankings of past places, I rarely give 5 stars - but honestly I couldn't find a reason that this place did not deserve all 5. They were super friendly, went above and beyond what I expected when I accidentally found this hidden gem by just wandering in off the street.

The sandwiches, athe different kinds and flavors of coffee, waffles, ice creams, etc. The atmosphere and decorations were well above what I expected. I was more than pleasantly surprised.

It was definitely the cherry on top of a fun fall day. It had been on my bucket list to come to this shop for a couple of years now. So thankful we did. And we will definitely return sooner than later. Phenomenal staff! And the treats, oh so delicious! Thank you!! 10/10 recommend

Everything here is always SO amazing from their food, to their drinks, to their ice cream. I have never had one bad thing from here. The atmosphere is amazing too. It’s just a little bit of a wait sometimes but 100% worth it! (Pictured, I had the brownie sundae Frappuccino with a shot of espresso and a waffle with strawberry drizzle, fresh strawberries and syrup)

This place is great! Very clean, organized. There are a variety of products edible and non edible. The coffee is FABULOUS! The drinks are all amazing! The food offered is fresh and so tasty. I get the fruit bowl in coconut cream with banana, pineapple coconut flakes, granola, honey, and OMG! DELICIOUS! The employees and owner are really fantastic folks as well. If you want to sit and chill, you very well can do that. If you just need to grab a cup of jo before you start your day, go give them a visit! I am very impressed. My 8 year old daughter loves their food and drinks as well! I will drive 28 min any day to get a big coffee at this destination. They also have ICE CREAM! Many flavors to satisfy you and / or your children's taste buds!

There are no words for how much I love this place! The staff, the bagels, the ice cream and the coffee! So many choices, and something for everyone. I have a specific order, and they are always so gracious about making it the way I request. I really appreciate the fact that this is somewhere our whole family can go, and enjoy. They have such cute gifts, and specialty items, too! The owner has really stepped up their menu, and has hired employees who are smart and capable, and so personable!! Do yourself a favor, and stop in here...you won't be disappointed!!

came here yesterday for the first time, the ladies were so sweet and so quick to offer samples of the ice cream. while all I had gotten was ice cream - I did lurk around and the bagels/drinks looked amazing too. ice cream was so good! good kid environment too

Just had my first bagel sandwich. The Little Italy, highly recommend. Of course I have been .enjoying their ice cream and other snacks, and they are wonderful!

Have to admit this is one of the most interesting coffee shop I’ve ever been in. I didn’t get on my phone once from boredom waiting for my drink. If it’s not for the theatrics of the joyful staff, it’s the old vintage candy toys, like candy cigarettes. Then they got the business cards scattered all over the place. Plus it’s such a unique idea for a coffee shop. And the coffee was absolutely dope. I very much recommend this place.

I’m from Austin, Texas here visiting family. I stopped in for a frappe and this place is great. So many frappé choices! Met with an amazing lady from German working the register. I was stationed in Germany for almost 8 years decades ago. It was such a pleasure speaking with her. She brought back so many good memories for me. I will be back and yes the frappe was delicious!

I have been going to Pine Mountain every morning for about 2 years now. I absolutely love everything about this place from the owner, to the employees, to the food, to the atmosphere and so much more.. the morning crew is absolutely amazing and will work with you if you need accommodations on food/drinks.. just all around wonderful people.. I for one am glad I stepped foot into this store years ago. I'm for sure a lifetime customer ❤

Loved this quaint little gem in downtown Festus! They have coffee for the adults, candy and ice cream for the kids, and a nice selection of unique gifts.

The steamer bagel sandwich was something I've never had before, but it was really good. Just right for a quick lunch.

Street parking can be found right out front or you can find regular parking if you're willing to walk just a bit.

Love coming to the coffee shop. I’m not in town often but I always have to stop in and try one of their many drinks. The service is always great and it’s got a great homie feel to it. I love local hole-in-the-wall shops and this is one of my favorites.

I absolutely love this place! Conveniently placed on main street. They have more than coffee and drinks. Cute friendly atmosphere! The owner and employees are true gems. I love it and will continue to go there every time!

The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. My acai bowl tasted Great! I was lucky enough to get some fresh homemade banana bread which was Great! Inside their store looked nice and inviting.

Took my granddaughters and they loved it! A great selection of yummy ice cream flavors, coffees, and sandwiches. I'm always happy when a business takes an old business building and repurposes it and that's exactly what Pine Mountain has done!
It is definitely a star attraction to Main Str.!

Took my wife here for birthday ice cream. Lots of great flavors, many of which I’d never heard of. Got a sample and made up my mind. Both my wife and I really enjoyed our selections. To top it all off, the sweet young ladies working that evening brought out a cute, little cupcake and put a candle on it. We all sang happy birthday to my wife. So adorable.

My wife’s been here several times for coffee so I’m throwing in her recommendation for that as well. I’d gladly return! :-)
