The Country Cafe

Traditional style Country cafe. Great food, everything! Especially anything breakfast & fried chicken. I have been coming here for years and one of the best places to eat for comfort food in the Jefferson County area. The service is always spot on and also the atmosphere reminds me of a typical local / rural cafe which is perfect!

Adorable little place with home cooking. Large portions. The potatoes were so good. Tasted like they were cooked in butter. The pie looked absolutely delicious! Cheerful and friendly waitstaff. Reasonably priced. They had a specials board with frog legs. 🐸 We will definitely be back when in the area again.

The waitress was amazing. My wife and I took our daughters and their significant others to breakfast last weekend. The food was great and the atmosphere was even better. The prices were very good also.

I'd definitely go again. Love the home fries, the sampler has a lot of variety. The bacon is not the best, but service was good and everything else was great.

Stopped here for breakfast. I had the "Big Boy" which is a country fried steak, 3 eggs, potatoes, and toast. About what you'd expect for a diner, but service was great (coffee cup stayed full) and food was out fast.

Wanted to eat at a place that wasn't a chain restaurant. Our meals were very good and so was the server Sabrina!! Would recommend!

Every Friday Surdyke harley comes in at 7:30am for breakfast. Great place to start your day off before work.

The food was very good with a big selection of menu with gigantic pancakes the size of the plates. The weight staff was very friendly and jenerous. The atmosphere was calm and very welcoming. In other words I'm from WI and this is the best breakfast place I'd ever have

Best French toast I've ever had it was so good with the strawberry toppings that it didn't even need syrup. Our waitress was awesome and the atmosphere was wonderful. We will definitely be back soon

Stopped here on our way out of town. One of the best country fried steaks I've had. Hashbrowns good too. Staff friendly and very helpful. We fell in love and will return many times to support this small town business. A better deal and better food than waffle house hands down!

Small family restaurant. Almost everything is made from scratch. The open faced roast beef is amazing. The burgers are delicious. The chili is good. And the service is just as good all around. We love this place.

Perfect spot for a great lunch. The food was terrific, server was friendly and efficient, and food came out quickly. Reminds me of a lunch diner type experience. If I get back that way I'll stop in again!
