The Cave, Bar, and Grill

Let me introduce you to one of the coolest pool bars at the Lake of the Ozarks. Doesn’t spending time in a pool with a view of the beautiful lake while sipping on cocktails and enjoying delicious food sound like a great way to spend the day?? Swim inside of the cave or hang out by one of the pool bars at The Cave…totally up to you! The Cave is one of the few pool bars at the Lake of the Ozarks that allow kids to also swim. Although kids are allowed, there is a section in the pool that is for adults only. The food menu is spectacular! From fried calamari, to loaded sandwiches, baskets of fries, tasty pizza, to creamy mac & cheese, there are plenty of options to keep you full and happy. Add The Cave to your bucket list before the summer ends!

The food was so good!! Inside of restaurant is in the cave, its small but such neat environment... Caution sign on wet floor and table/ seats were wet/from moisture in the cave. Also has a fenced area of alot of goats you can pet and feed before entrance. There is a reason which is another interesting story about the owner...self-sufficient (prepper) when economy collapses and live off the grid.

We got lucky and ended up here today, the last day they they are open for the season! We really wanted to try this place, so before we ordered our food, we talked to them about the reviews talking about food poisoning. It never was food poisoning. It turns out it was contaminated municipal water effecting the entire town. She showed us the report. I had the steak nachos, and my fiance had the burger with bacon. We both had a great meal,and cheap, good drinks, enjoyed the cave, played pool, and pet the goats! It was a great time. We can't wait to visit again next season.

We went last year and I thought I left a review. Great staff, delicious food!! I recommend the Philly cheese steak. I took my drone since we were on vacation and got some cool outside shots.

Stopped in for lunch the weekend Bikes Blues and BBQ were passing through. The ambiance is cool. I mean it's literally a restaurant in a literal cave. The food was good and the service as well. Definitely give the team here a thumbs up.

Good food and excellent service. We had a large gathering of about 20 people. We called ahead and they were able to accommodate us. There is a pen with goats adjacent too the restaurant. The smell did not bother me, but others might not like it. The kiddos enjoyed feeding and petting the goats.

A really cool place to stop when coming back from the Elk River. Staff is friendly and it’s a cool experience!

I was very much looking forward to visiting The Cave, Bar, and Grill! My boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed! Our waitress was Sarah (I believe this was her name (6/12/23)🙃) She greeted us right away as we walked towards The Cave. She treated us with kindness and great service the entire time.
We enjoyed viewing the goats nearby and asked if our dog could join us outside. She excitedly said, "Yes?," and as we brought him to our table, she was being our pup a cold bowl of water. Towards the end of our meal, our pup was offered a slice of cooked bacon at the side window. We love to have our pup spoiled!

I ordered the spiciest burger on their menu (I eyeball these types of burgers on menus). Upon delivery of our order she also provided a full pitcher of ice cold water for my meal! Thoroughly appreciated this and my burger was actually very tasty and pleasantly spicy. If you enjoy ordering the spiciest meal on the menu, this, I would say, is ultimate service. My other half ordered the bacon and cheddar burger. We both enjoyed them!

This place has a cool location, a unique experience with unique views and I definitely recommend.

Our experience was amazing when we went! We were visiting a friend, and they had recommended we go here. We were visiting from Oklahoma. It was such a unique opportunity to eat inside of a cave. The food was amazing, and the staff was polite. Our kids loved the overall experience of eating here. After lunch we went outside and fed the goats. The kids had fun getting goat food from the little dispenser outside their enclosure. We would recommend this place to anyone looking for good food, and a unique experience. We will definitely go here in the future when visiting from out of town!

Passed this place, and turned around to have lunch. So happy we did, very cool space inside a small cave. Loved the cool temperature, and didn't mind water dripping on me from the ceiling. Had a delicious pulled pork sandwich, fries were perfect.

Had a great Irish Trash Can in a wonderful cave environment. Pool tables and goats to feed outside as well.

Definitely the best food while camping on the Big Elk! Great experience every year we go. The service is honest and timely, considering they're usually crowded and don't have an armada of servers. Highly recommend the onion rings and fried mushrooms!
Update: 6 months later we go back and the food is more impressive than before.

We did close for 3 weeks because people got sick from the city water supply not the food. We had the health department and DNR in 2 times a week for 3 weeks while we flushed and replaced all lines and filters. The City of Lanagan made people sick due to lack of care with the water treatment. We are back and safer than ever as we are using bottled water and canned soda till the city gets their act together

Such a cool place. With a great story behind it. Definitely worth the ride out there. Go feed the goats and have something to eat.

Really cool place. Food is good, kinda pricey for what you get but I understand. It's must stop for the atmosphere and we will come back occasionally.

Been here several times in the past, while out riding. The service is always great and on time when that adult beverages get low. The food has gotten better, not sure how it could but it has. Still laughing at the goats, there great entertainment.

Cute place. It's always a stopping/meeting point on the way to the river. Cold drinks and a neat atmosphere with a chill environment. Gravel parking and goats are cool to look at.
