McClelland Park

T.T I dream of living near such a nice park. Also, was pleasantly surprised this was such a wheelchair friendly area. We needed to stop to give baby a break from his car seat and couldn’t have been more pleasantly surprised. We thought my mom would be stuck inside but she go to get out- even was able to access the restroom so it saved us a second stop. Even had some fun Halloween decorations up!

Biggest note: Bring your own soap. Bathrooms are surprisingly clean but no soap.

Stopped by on a road trip to play a course in Missouri and this place did not disappoint! 3 18 hole courses on site with about 6 or 7 possible different layouts to play with different tpads, was very easy to navigate with udisc. Required lots of different shots, some open and some wooded shots offering lots of variety. Super fun course!

Wonderful disc golf course. Two separate courses with two different starting positions for each. Essentially 4 courses! It looks like they are changing some hole locations and pads, but really an incredible use of space. Well taken care of. Very enjoyable.

I go for the disc golf which is always a good time..came prepared with a trashbag because litterbugs, and im happy to report that 18 holes and two hours later, I didn't have to use it at all..the course is great, lots of new challenges/changes..and if you go at the right time of day your bound to see all kinds of local wildlife..birds, skunks, deer, raccoons..even if you don't play disc golf it's a great park..lots of room to stretch your legs..folks bring their pups out often(please pick up after your pooch though!)other side has playgrounds for the kids, bathrooms, a pavillion..just a great feature to the joplin area:)

Fantastic Old Fashion Hayride event by Joplin Parks & Recreation. Many thanks to those who helped make the event amazing. Quite the crowd & all well managed with hayrides, movie, fires & food. Absolutely marvelous time had by all.

Disc golf, nature, friends and dog. What a beautiful day this was.

Park has been nicely updated with playground equipment and a disc golf course. Make sure to visit the lookout point.

Great park,my kids love it there.

I have lived in the Joplin area my whole life and never knew this adorable little park was there. My kids had a blast and were sad we had to leave after only a few minutes, as it was pretty chilly that day. Noses were turning red...

2 separate play areas for different types of fun.

This is a great park!!! I call it Joplin's hidden gem!! There are great shade trees to relax under and comfy benches too!!!! There is a little kids area and big kids area for all sizes to enjoy playing but beware the parking area and drive separate the 2 so watch your little ones so they don't bolt across, and drivers please beware. It is also a great place to walk or run. There is a large covered pavilion with lots of picnic tables that would be great for any get-together. I did not drive down further into the park to see the other areas though. Lots and lots off open spaces for bubble blowing and flying kites!!! Kids also had their little bikes out there to practice riding and it was safe since it is not a high trafffic area. So load up your park day baskets and let your kiddos enjoy the great outdoors!!! Also, I like the fact that there are no large open bodies of water like a pond or lake....just for safety issue I have with little ones running free.

The stacked rock garden area is amazing!

Great Park for travelers and locals alike. Great place to have a cookout with picnic tables grills and clean bathrooms. Park is well lit and is open to everyone 24 hours. Very clean with a playground for the children and plenty of open land to walk the dog or play more adult games. Not far is also a beautiful waterfall literally not more then a mile from the park. It's just overall been a very pleasent and blessed experience. Joplin has a gem here and I hope it stays this way for years to come. Already one of my favorite places to visit as I tour the USA.

So many layouts with every shot in the book out there. With being such a large area with alot of layouts it is best to use udisc

Loved it is and understatement. This Is my home course. The layouts now "eagle" , "lion" are 2 lengthy and pro style courses. There is also the chiltzer layout occasionally out, more advanced level play. If your looking for a shorter round mcwoods is across the street only. Very challenging lines, requires alot of work on scramble. Come here to get better and remember to have fun 👍

This is a great place to take a walk and have a picnic. The scenery is nice.

In the past two years I've become addicted to disc golf. I feel really fortunate the local City Parks & Rec Dept are so accommodating of our courses, especially McClelland Park, with it's 27-hole permanent disc golf course. Concrete tee pads on every hole, as well as signage. Today I played in a group of 9 that included an 11-year-old that outthrew me on some shots! Fun for the whole family.

Awesome chill spot on the outskirts of town... nice quite park good place to let the kiddos run wild!

Very nice views. Cool spot to bring the family when the water is down. When the water is high you should be careful of your kids though.
