Harlow Island National Wildlife Preserve cannot be reached from Mississippi Queen Ct. Festus, MO.

Mississippi Queen Ct is a private drive and not part of the Preserve and has no access to the area. The driving directions on Google maps are not correct.

Try Truman Park Access road which can be reached off AA.

Um….. the road leading us here, is a new development. It ends in the middle of the drive of two beautiful new homes. 😳🤷🏻 Great view for those two homes! For sure. No way to see or enjoy this, besides. Just happened to see it on Google Maps, as I was searching for something else. So, decided to go see. Just 15 miles from home! Who knew? Only to be greatly disappointed. Made me wonder, does anyone KNOW there’s this wildlife refuge, before they allowed this to be built? I mean, I would THINK so…🤷🏻
Made us sad.😔
