What a gem ! So glad I found this store the people are friendly and very helpful when trying to buy the right spices for your Indian food. Everything is fresh and very well kept. They moved and are bigger and better than ever !

I feel that I am shoping in my own native city, Peshawar, Pakistan 🇵🇰 whenever I shop here. I mean there is hardly any item that you need and you don’t get in Gokul grocery. The staff is highly courteous specially the manager on counter. She is very cooperative and helpful and leaves the counter and help me finding items I need. Its highly appreciated.

Today was my first visit and it is a great store. We bought a lot of treats for our friends and were even able to get a table game, Carrom. There was a big selection and it was very clean. We will definitely be back. Thank you!

The guy at the counter was super nice and informative. I bought tumeric and powedered fenugreek seeds; both are great for the skin. Also bought ragi coriander wraps along with some mehki kakhra all dor 15 bucks even. Great Buy

I would like to take the opportunity to share my experience at the New Gokul Indian Supermarket in Absecon. This place is nothing short of Amazing! If you are looking for fresh and also exotic vegetables, this is the place! Spices, products that have very little additives, and food I've never even seen before! To top it off the staff was amazing and must have answered 5 questions I had. It is a GEM in the community. Everyone seemed to have a smile on their face, and even the music was great! I remember hearing a techno-like song followed by a traditional style Indian song. The shoppers were a total mix of cultures and I love it! This is a great example of a community based business. Upon checkout they have us a sample of mango ice cream and a rose (yes ROSE) infused sparkling water. Even the man gatheing carts took time out to talk to customers. Please patronize this business! The ONLY drawback we had to make a second trip to ShopRite to get meat, seafood and pet supplies, but it wasn't a deal breaker for me! Just know before you go. I got two big reusable ShopRite bags filled to the brim for only $70! This is how stores used to be back in the day, And I am so glad to not only have a taste of culture in the area, but nice people who take the time to help you. A+! I will gladly return.

Love love love this place. Always has fresh food and vegetables. WONDERFUL spices that you can't find anywhere else and packaged very well. Prices are also very good. Every type of rice you can imagine. Great staff !

I will be short and sweet the prices are excellent for most things. The staff and management are excellent, super helpful, and Incredibly appreciative. The quality of their products from dry goods to Fresh Produce is always excellent unlike other places. We try to shop there at least twice a month and I've been doing it for a while now and I can't remember that experience at all. this place is a great example of what a small business Market should be

Desi(indian) food store. It's always a good experience, the staff is friendly and the veggies seem to be fresh. Their frozen selection is good, specially the dessert selection 😋. If you want desi snacks and other goodies then this is your best spot in or near Atlantic County. They even have fresh warm samosas during the day.

An incredible selection of Indian foods . It is better than the Indian market I used to go to in Philadelphia. I can't believe how much stuff they carry in this tiny space. Very friendly courteous help. I feel welcome there. The Samosas at the counter are to die for.

Our go to place for South Asian groceries.

This was our first visit to Gokul, the Indian supermarket in Absecon, NJ. We had been making an Indian meal and were looking for black mustard seeds. There is off street parking and although the entrance of store is a bit congested and disorganized we know enough not to judge a book by its cover!
The store itself has a large number of Indian staples and everything you could want for the home cook, if you are adventurous enough. We were particularly impressed with the owner and staff who are warm and friendly and more than willing to help you find what you need. We were very happy to find Paneer in large quantities and excellent prices and an array of Poppadoms with every spice you could imagine. The two spices we were looking for were far cheaper than anywhere else. There is a large selection of Indian ice cream and we would choose the Gulab Jamun flavor for a special occasion, but at $10.00, it a bit pricy. We chose some Indian sweets for dessert instead and they were very nice. No doubt we will be back regularly.

I love coming here. Best prices for almonds and cashews in NJ so far. I shop here every month. Staff has always been friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Always a good selection of fresh fruits and foods. Store is consistently busy with staff working around the clock. Fresh samosa near the register is always a bonus. 🤤 Always something new to try out.

Great grocery store for Desi. Mostly it will be great for Indian. Soon they gonna open the new BIG store next to the current store.

Clean, bigger aisles, and lots of variety in items.

Everyone is super friendly and helpful. Great selection. I love purchasing various curry paste and I purchase Henna to use to condition my hair.
