Typical diner but prepared better than most. Walked in was busy but hostess found me a spot immediately. Waitress didn't bother me while eating but made sure my coffee was filled. Definitely am coming back.

Great atmosphere! Maria was fabulous!!! When you go into a place and it’s jam packed and everyone is friendly it’s a great indicator of what’s to come. So happy to have a chance to visit - eggs cooked perfectly! Service is exceptional here. A must visit for all!

This restaurant is the epitome of small town eating. I always see the same servers and cooks working. They know everyone that walks in by name. It’s a family you just want to be a part of. Not only that, these are the best pancakes I’ve had. I can’t make them this good at home! The prices have gone up since COVID but everything is still a great deal. I can’t forget that they also serve lunch. You’re missing out if you haven’t eaten here.

I've been here several times. Staff and service have always been friendly and greet you with a smile. The food had always been delicious and hot. One of my favorite breakfast spots.

They should allow me to give more stars because this place is dynamite. I am a chow hound, and if I say the place serves good food, you can bet the farm on my recommendation. Super clean inside. Everything inside this place is like sitting in grammoms kitchen. Did I say clean? Reasonable prices. Really good food that you can see being prepared. I will definitely return. 10 ⭐ stars!!!!!

My fiance and I love going to Johnnie's! I consider this a best kept secret of Mays Landing, New jersey. Highly recommended! The food is amazing, and made fresh right in front of you. The staff are great! There are always kind and they cater to their customers! I have never once had a bad experience here! In fact, if I I have a friend who I am trying to impress and take out to breakfast we always go to Johnnie's! They love meeting there and eating. And then they can't stop telling all of their friends about it! Definitely check out this restaurant if you have not yet! You will not be disappointed!

Good food, reasonable prices, and big portions! Ordered the Bud's Special which is essentially a sausage and egg biscuit smothered in gravy. Very good. Others at my table ordered creamed chipped beef which was good as well. Cash only!

Absolutely delicious, great service, reasonable prices, and it was fast

We were heading to another diner and saw this place and it drew us in as we saw about 12 people enter, especially as we sat in the car deciding whether to go in because it only took cash. The creamed chip beef and over easy eggs we had were excellent. We sat at the counter and watching the hustle of everyone was entertaining. It's on a scenic out of the way drive home from Atlantic City, but we'd visit again.

This place is a great place for weekend breakfast. So convenient and great location, plenty of parking. Just think while you have breakfast lunch or dinner you can get your laundry done, fill up on gas ⛽ or hit a liquor store. Great atmosphere and best service.

It was my mother and I’s first time there. The service was great. The ladies and gentlemen were so sweet and friendly. Everyone there was sooo nice. The food was great…we had the Johnnie Special…nice size serving..we will definitely be back.

Bacon and cheese omelet. Something about this place. Food is always great.

COVID UPDATE: as of 10/21/20 Johnnie’s is serving breakfast and lunch takeout as well as very limited seating 7 days a week 8:00 am - 3:00pm!
Johnny's is the epitome of hometown restaurant. Good diner-style food, pleasant service and has been a reliable place of business for decades. A Mays Landing standard.

Been going here since I was a kid and I love it. They are good people that serve good food. You like that old diner feel... Then you'll love them and their food!!!

First time eating here, service was excellent the portions were huge, food was delicious, I had the Sarah Omelette it was packed with sausage and cheese yummy. Highly recommend

It's my favorite place to come for breakfast! The specials are unique, it's always tough to pick what I want, and the servers are helpful in giving advice. It's cool watching the food being prepared and everything is always hot and fresh.

My husband and I love Johnnie's! We make a point to bring our out of state friends and family here for breakfast. The servers are always very nice and accommodating and the food is always perfect. There was a bit of a wait the last time we went, but our friends from KY agreed that it was worth it!
