Got my hair done by kayl miller! I came in with orange splotchy hair messed up by another stylist. I flew from Boise to Portland just to have it done by her. She worked her magic and sent me from an orange mess, to a very beautiful icy blonde. She genuinely is the best. Good conversation, lots of laughs. Highly recommend.

Kellie Ross is the best hairstylist I have ever had. She has done my hair for years, and each time she ceases to amaze me. She knows exactly how to bring my vision to life, and makes sure to maintain the integrity of my hair. I have very long hair and lots of it, and she will sit with me for 6+ hours to make sure it looks perfect when I leave the salon. Her blonding and coloring skills are unmatched. She has taken me from to bright bright blonde, to dark, and back to buttery blonde, and each to I’m amazed by her skills. If you are in need of a new hairstylist, check her out. You seriously won’t be disappointed. (All 3 photos below were taken the day after she did my hair).

I don't usually leave reviews, but Alivia was AMAZING!! She did exactly what I wanted and I will be seeing her again! The only complaint I would have is that it was a bit messy - hair clippings, dye, etc.

I love this place! I've been in salons all over the country and as an esthetician who has worked in some of the best spa's and salons in Vail, Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, and New York but none of them can hold a candle to this. I am there every 3-4 weeks with Kayl, who is the boss of my hair because she knows her art. Everyone who works there is dedicated to continue to learn and it shows in their skills. I came there five months ago after my hair was ruined and left feeling beautiful. She has a special personality that makes my time there fun! I highly recommend this salon to anyone who wants to be heard and know you will leave there happy. Whoever created this masterpiece is a genius. It's a vibe I've never experienced.

First time getting a balayage. I am not disappointed at all! Kayl did such an amazing job. Makes me want to keep adding color in my hair. It is always laidback and easy visits and this time was no different.

Sofie did an amazing job on my full highlight and cut! She gave me a super icy blonde which I absolutely love and she gave me the CUTEST cut ever with perfect face framing layers. She is so talented and I had such a fun time getting my hair done by her. I would recommend her to anyone! She’s got me as a returning client for good ☺

Peyton @ Malva always does an amazing job on my hair. She has such a positive energy and I always leave happy and feeling refreshed. I highly recommend her!!

Cara Gamble did an amazing job on my blonde hair. My hair naturally is kind of a drab very dark blonde color with hints of red that I don’t care for. I went to her after I saw some pics she had done of other blondes and was completely impressed. She seemed to know instantly what I was looking for; brighter highlights and that beautiful “bronde” look that looks so effortless and lived-in, yet stylish. I could not believe how well my hair turned out! It doesn’t look over processed or brassy and I have gotten a ton of compliments, even from my teenage daughter and that is amazing in itself! Over the years I have had plenty of not-so-great results with other stylists trying to achieve this look and getting results that were disappointing or just plain bad. She is so talented that she has won me as a client for life! Don’t underestimate the value of a good colorist!!! She’s the best!

I went to MALVA. House for the first time last week and was blown away. It’s a luxurious and upscale facility, with fun music and a really nice vibe. I went to Sofie Steger (@sofiestylist on instagram- check her out!) who did an amazing job giving me a fresh blond. She’s fun to talk to, knows what she’s doing, and I walked away feeling like a new woman. Definitely recommend MALVA. and Sofie!

Zack is amazing. He asks all the right questions and listens to what you have to say. It can be hard to find someone who does women's short cuts well. The first cut he did my hair looked just like the picture I brought in. No one else has been able to do that. Just had my 3rd cut with Zack. It's a real confidence booster to have a great cut. Thanks, Zack!

She really cares about damage prevention and having healthy hair. She knocks it out the park everytime no question.
There's just something about Kayl that's comforting to be around. She a fantastic listener / conversationalist. She doesn't have a judgemental bone in her body. She's a lot of fun. Kayl will always be my first choice!!

Meg is the BEST she’s been doing my hair for months now and has always done an amazing job. We usually maintain my blonde hair but sometimes we’ve switched it up and done colors. She is so professional and her coloring skills are the best. She’s amazing at doing precision cuts as well. Would definitely recommend her to anyone who wants someone who can make them feel their best with a new hairstyle.

Robin Hackett is the best! She basically did a full color correction on muddy colored hair from a previous stylist and she gave me back beautiful blonde hair with dimension and pop! Thank you so much!

I went to see Nellie Johnson; she did an amazing job. She's an awesome conversationalist, and I enjoyed every second in her chair! My hair cut and color were the best I have had in years. She factored in the health of my hair and helped advise me on proper hair care and maintenance. She's so knowledgable! The salon is a beautiful, modern space and feels like a day at the spa.

I’ve been visiting Sydnie at MALVA for body waxing and spray tans and have been very happy with my results every time! The salon environment is very welcoming and comfortable. Sydnie is wonderful at what she does and truly cares about her clients and her work, I wouldn’t recommend anyone else!

Beautiful balayage & trim by the lovely Jen @studio16.jen. Had such an incredible experience, and Jen is beyond generous & extremely affordable. So in love with my hair, and so happy I finally found a hair dresser/friend in Oregon I can trust with these long locks! Talented lady, who cares about quality and the little details that matter the most. She listened to me and got to know me and how the hair style would work the best for me. Can’t tell you how important that is to have in a hair dresser!

I'm not a huge fan of the dark interior because it gives off a weird tone to your hair color. However, my stylist knows her colors and she did a fantastic job on my hair! @hairbydaniscot is amazing!

My stylist is amazing... Robin Hackett is so quick, knows what I like..it always am completely satisfied!

sofie did such a good job both times i’ve been here!! malva itself is a super nice building and sofie gave me the best haircut of my life literally. i went around telling everyone how much i appreciated how flexible she was listening to my needs with curly hair and for having little experience with curls, she did better than a place i went to specifically for curls!! i felt very listened to and happy with my hair, and it’s always very fun to talk with her.
