Stop right here….this place is amazing! Forget the pizza, forget the pasta come to Yama! It’s all freshly made. The sushi was top notch. The udon noodles were outstanding. Maybe different options to choose from! Great service and clean inside! Come on by today and check it out.

We have eaten in this establishment many times over the last several years and have NEVER had a bad meal, poor service, or any other disappointment that may sometimes come with eating out. Seaweed salad, sushi rolls, and oh those "sauteed in garlic" vegetables! The prices are also not bad for all of the enjoyments you will receive. When you get the opportunity you need to stop in and enjoy!

This sushi was fantastic! I think this is our new favorite sushi place. We had all sushi items. Our friends visited a few days before and they said Yama has the best friend rice they have ever had. I was happy with everything, the decor, the service, and definitely the food!! We will be back.

Hidden gem in Ventnor city, NJ. My favorite sushi place in this area. Seating and atmosphere are not that great, but the food is worth it, or take out and eat at home.

I thought the sushi is pretty good I had ordered it to be delivered to my job site and it wasn’t bad I got it off door Dash Uber eats one of those things . I forget which specialty roll I got but I did like it, I also got some fried rice. I’ve never ate there before but I’ll definitely order something from there again when I’m in the area .

WOW! WOW! Best sushi I've ever had. Came into town on a business trip. Had a craving for sushi, saw this restaurant so decided to try it. So glad I stopped in. The combination fried rice was excellent. The 3 sushi rolls I had were fantastic. I cannot say enough good things about the wonderful food here. Everything I tried was amazing. I want to go back multiple times while here in Atlantic City.

Good food. Their limited time menu is very good. Second time I've gotten the queen roll, also got shrimp Gyoza, clear soup.

my family lives in ventnor and we get yama every weekend.

we order the sexy lisa roll, the godzilla roll, and their soups and fried rice never disappoint. The beef negamaki is out of this world.

yama is such a great place all around! they are all so sweet and their food is a 10/10!

Unassuming place but it is one of the best sushi restaurants in Jersey shore.

For my birthday this year, all I truly wanted was a night in with some delicious sushi takeout (a treat) and a nice bottle of sparkling wine. My wife went to Yama after finding them online. The menu was AMAZING and price points were very fair. I am happy to report is was the BEST meal I have had in a long time. We cannot wait to go back. A must try if you are in the area!

Fabulous! There was a bit of a wait to place our orders and for our food to arrive however they did inform us of the delays ahead of time. Everything we ordered was delicious with lovely presentation. Very generous with fish portions for the sushi and sashimi. Well worth the minor wait. Would absolutely recommend.

I really liked this place. Good quality fish, visually appealing sushi, sashimi, and rolls, and very reasonably priced. We came for a late lunch (1:45) and the service was quick and efficient.

Came to the restaurant by recommendation of google maps. The restaurant is a bit away from the strip but that was actually a great thing. Plenty of parking nearby.

Restaurant atmosphere is private, calm with medium lighting. Seating is spread which provides intimacy and privacy.

Food: this is where I believe it sets them apart. We ordered the following:

Calamari: now If your looking for your traditional greasy over breaded taste then your in for a disappointment . The calamari was lightly breaded in a light tempura style fable and texture. The calamari itself was cooked great which provided a more smooth bite with no pulling. Lightly sprinkled with pepper the only thing missing was lemon however the side house sauce was great.

Sweet potato tempura: wow I really expected to get an over cooked oily potato but once again proven wrong. Sweet potato was cooked to near perfection. Lightly battered again with tempura breading. Once again the sweet yet tart side sauce was a great compliment.

Sushi

Spicy Tuna: I’ve had a lot through out the years and this one falls into the top 3. The taste of the tuna itself was fresh. The rice was cooked well and molded together to provide a great taste.

Philadelphia Roll: again great taste. The freshness of the avocado makes a difference and this again met my expectations. The cream cheese was not overpowering once again complimenting one another

Shrimp avacodo roll: great taste as per what my wife describes as a tender shrimp. Lightly seasoned to once again provide a well balanced taste.

Overall great lunch. Will definitely try them again and hope you give them a chance.

Yama is the absolute best, we drive from Egg Harbor Township to pick it up. The food is always fresh, the order is always right. The Hot Lover roll is my favorite sushi roll ever, if they ever get rid of it I will be a mess haha. Dine in or togo you're in for a treat!

Mmmm my man and I always get shrimp tempura sushi rolls they are so good. When my family came to town a couple years back we took them here for lunch. They make great 🍣 sushi and it's healthy, fresh and tasty. Delicious and yummy. I've ate in, ordered out, picked up and got delivered. 👍👍 I would recommend this for sushi and soups. We had lunch and light meals.. xox thank you for great service.

I got the Avocado rolls, and they were so good! The waitress was nice, and food came quickly. I thought the price was super fair, and probably the best on the island!

Come here every time we venture to the shore. Absolutely the best sushi I’ve had so far outside NYC. Super fresh, super tasty, absolutely amazing. I recommend the “Yama Dynamite” roll and the “Godzilla” roll! Absolute incredible!!!

i got the shrimp fried rice. almost 12 bucks but it was delicious. i dont know if that price is normal or not. fast service for take out

Service and food has always been great. They're running a 30% off special Monday - Thursday right now. To the person who said they were overcharged - you posted the price of eel sashimi, not the eel avocado roll from the receipt. You were charged correctly.
