Big 5 Sporting Goods

Product are awesome, friendly staff and responsable prices. (Good promotions). I got all my winter staff to enjoy Big Bear.

They have everything at this store: Camping, hunting & fishing gear, clothing, boots/shoes, kids/adult sports, weight lift, exorcise, sun glasses and a whole lot more.

Decent range and variety of sporting goods for most of the popular sports with competitive prices and friendly help.

I had a great experience purchasing my first shotgun at this Big 5. Stephen and John were very helpful and patient, they answered every question I had. I would recommend anyone that is considering to purchase a shotgun for home defense to visit this location in Brea! I have been buying items here for years, the staff is great! Just bought 2 guns. They seem understaffed. But they were training someone on how to do gun sales, so hopefully the issue isn't long term. They were friendly and helpful, even though I was frustrated when I couldn't pick my purchase up on my initial release date as no one was available to release them.

The salesman, Ernie help my husband buy tennis shoes. He was patient and helpful and friendly. He told me he is also a teacher.
The manager Trev was nice too and friendly. He said reviews help the employees and i hope him as well.

Great to still have a place to walk around and physically browse the merchandise. One of my first experiences when it came to buying sporting equipment. The staff is always friendly and very helpful. The stores are not as big, but it's probably better this way. Still feels the same and I am glad they are still around.

Good selection of sporting and hunting equipment. Aisles are a bit small and barely enough to walk through; however, it's well organized and clean. Staff are pleasant, friendly and helpful. Good competitive prices.

Best place for getting shoes. Go to the clearance shelves if that Big 5 has them. Amazing deals. But I just bought second set of training shoes but also black leather casuals for work, both for $21 each. You try them on in the store in the seating area. You can't beat Big 5 on shoes!!!

I couldn't decide what to eat... everything looked amazing so I ordered a combo sandwich. Came with everything but the kitchen sink! Tastes better than backyard cooking, all you have to do is eat, no work. Small hole in the wall place that's destined to be my favorite, "smokes" the other BBQ places, sorry couldn't resist. They are great!

I went into the Brea location and received excellent customer service. I had my 3 month old and my 2 year old with me. Whenever I would choose something I wanted they took it to the register for me so I didnt have my hands more full than they already were. Alex went the extra mile and even put my items in my truck for me as I loaded my children. Thank you Alex!!

I never write reviews, but I was so pleased with this experience that I believe this store warrants a good review. Awesome customer service! Very helpful staff, nice, and understanding employees. Would shop here again. :)

This place has everything. My kids play sports 🥎 I had to get them some stuff and the staff was so helpful thank you guys it was a manager and other guy who help me get everything fast forgot there name R something but great service, and the employees are very respectful. They are the best sporting goods store ever in my opinion.

I recently had a situation where I needed to spend a whole bunch of $25 AMEX reward cards for work, which were about to expire in 3 days. I initially tried to use them on Amazon, however they would only take one card per purchase which did not work for the items we wanted to buy. I then went to Walmart to try to purchase items, and asked them up front if they had a limit on how many gift cards could be used in a single purchase. They said there was no limit, however once they entered 5 cards their system blocked it and said "too many bank cards", so I was only able to get 2 of the items. The manager then told me they couldn't do any more transactions and he did all but escort me out the door like a criminal. After spending over an hour there I was furious. I then decided to try Big 5 to see if they could take multiple cards. I was warmly greeted by the manager, Kyle, and the cashier, Luanne, who told me they would gladly take as many gift cards as I wanted to spend. Kyle helped give me good ideas of items to purchase, and Luanne patiently rang up the purchases and entered all the cards. $4,270 later, we were all happy! I highly recommend the Brea Big 5 store and will continue to shop there.

Helpful salespeople and exceptional manager. Friendly, knowledgeable and always eager to please. He will usually make things right with even an upgrade if you have a problem. Save yourself a little stress and shop at this one.

Best customer service!!!! I went in early Saturday morning rushing to get last minute snow boots and gear. The staff were so very helpful and friendly, this made my stressful morning so much better, I was so pleasantly surprised at how helpful they were, absolutely above and beyond!

Great service at this location. We called asking about an item in stock. When we arrived they had pulled it and set it aside for us. Will recommend this place to anyone that asks.

I have started buying all my rifles and hunting gear from big five Brea for one reason . Manager Kyle dwyier. His knowledge of rifles and gear is amazing , there dros prosses is fast simple and efficiently , and Kyle's customer service is next to none. I recommend to anyone and everyone , there prices are really good as well...

Small store but well stocked, the employees really know their stuff when it comes to the products.
