My mother was transferred here after being passed back and forth between NJ hospitals for weeks. They found an infection in her spine within the first 24 hours of her stay. My mom gushed over the amazing care she received from every medical professional on staff. She took down a list of names and vowed to sing their praises to whoever would listen…. Starting with this review. Thank you Jefferson staff for taking care of our #1 gal!

My son has been in Jefferson for a few weeks now, and I have to say it is the most compassionate hospital I’ve ever had the pleasure to be associated with! Very understanding nurses doctors so forth, and so on! Highly recommended!

I have to say I am really happy with Jefferson. Over the last 6 months, I've had to use Jefferson for a variety of reasons. As someone who doesn't like the medical system, I have to say that Jefferson has gone a long way to help me regain some confidence. Many people don't know how short staffed the entire medical system is in in the United States. This fact plus how unhealthy our country is, makes for a big problem. Anyway...Jefferson isn't without some small issues, but overall I am really happy with their doctors, nurses, the continuity of care, and the MyChart health portal where I can view all my results and communicate with the doctors. Thank you, Jefferson!

The Cherry Hill NJ location located an aneurysm in my heart that would have been fatal. They airlifted me to Jefferson Hospital in Center City Philadelphia, where they repaired the dissection and the aneurysm. I wouldn't be alive if not for Jefferson Hospital and Dr. Keshava Rajagopal is the best surgeon in the world to find a fix this fatal genetic disorder that almost no one survived.

The QR code on my patient feedback wasn’t working and I wanted to make sure the amazing staff get the shoutouts and praise they deserve!

From the start, we met Mr. Aaron at valet parking (at 4:20am). Protect this man at all costs! He is the kindest, sweetest person; and so patient! He sets the mood for every other encounter from that point on.

The ladies at the front desk for surgery (9th floor) were kind and hilarious, and very helpful (especially at that early).

Ms. Rhonda who kept my room clean, checked on me every time she made her rounds. Saying if I need anything or she wants me to get anyone just let her know. And I could hear her do that in each room she went in.

The ladies in PT and OT were great! They prepared and tested me for every situation I could think of in preparation for discharge. OT even thought of something else later and came down to my room; follow-ups are huge!

My nurses were great, all of them. I wish I was cleared head coming out of surgery to say specifically how wonderful Tori (Victoria) was. All I can know for sure is I felt safe and cared for!

I had Nurse Payton twice! She is a hard worker! Kind and helpful all shift went home napped for a little and was back for another shift and was even more supportive.

Nurse Sara was outstanding! Helpful, sweet, and funny. I tried not to bother my nurses because I know how hard they work… I believe she sensed I was “one of them.” So she checked up on me frequently to let me know it wasn’t a bother! She also worked hard to get answers for me to things I was stressing about.

Nurses Kate and Kiera were the last I had before discharge. Both were kind and helpful. And so on top of things. Discharging is such a busy time and they made an excellent team!

RN Jess (brunette?) made sure I was comfortable, took the second IV out since I wouldn’t need it anymore, at that point. Unhooked and removed any unnecessary things in the room, and just really made sure I was comfortable! Very empathetic! She also answered my questions (and I have a lot) which greatly reduced my anxiety.

My surgical team was top notch! They checked on my frequently, spoke to me like a person, told me the precautions I’d have to take and more importantly what could happen if I don’t follow the post-op guidelines.

And anyone else I encountered in the halls were so quick to give a smile and ask how I’m doing.

I know I’m a lot, but thank you for your time! Appreciate your staff, they are remarkable!!

Jefferson Health Hospital Service Rep, Maria Stenta and Tom Wallin advocate for the patient and their families. They do their best to address the patients concerns and their dept is truly a voice for the voiceless.

My husband just had surgery at Thomas Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia. I felt that I had to give a review of my 2 day experience being at the hospital to support my husband. There are so many adjectives that would describe our experience. Everyone I encountered was helpful, friendly, caring, and knowledgeable. You can’t get lost because there is always an employee right there to help you find your way and in a couple of cases, walked me to where I needed to be. I was not a bother to them. They smiled and cared about what I needed. This began at the reception desk in the lobby and continued to the intake area and then to where they get you ready to go down to the surgical area. The waiting area was comfortable and again the attendants were helpful and friendly. Even the food was good and reasonably priced in the cafeteria. The nurses are amazing. I felt like my husband was the only patient because they were so attentive. They were always right there to help you, answer questions, and really care for my husband. So, I just want to repeat, everyone we encountered at this hospital went out of their way to make us as comfortable as we could be. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Ed and Jan Anderson.

Amazing facility. Came in pretty banged up from a bicycle crash - really banged up in fact. They knew exactly what to do and pointed me in the right direction towards recovery. Too many in my team to name, but I will be forever grateful. Thank you Jefferson Hospital!

Let's put things in some perspective, shall we?

First, the gripes about the ER and security: People, do you not realize that this hospital is located in Center City Philadelphia? Therefore, it receives the full range of society for clientele, from normal, working-class folks to the absolute dregs of humankind, and let's face it-they have to take care of ALL of them, many of whom have little regard for their fellow humans...hence the need for decent security. Additionally, some of you might want to look up the definition of TRIAGE; if you come in with a wittle boo-boo 'cause you sprained your ankle, you ARE going to wait, as ER staff is going to prioritize patients with serious, life-threatening conditions BEFORE you, so get over yourself with your demands for prompt service. Finally-and this applies just about everywhere-too many people use their local ER as their "primary care doctor" for ailments that can usually be treated at a regular medical practice or an urgent-care facility. All these factors lead to often long wait times.

Second, having a bad attitude when being treated is a sure-fire way to guarantee indifferent treatment; being uncooperative or demanding is no way to treat medical professionals who are trying to resolve your issue...these doctors are seeing dozens of patients during their shift-how would you feel if every person you encountered during your working day treated you like garbage?

Third, this is a HOSPITAL-NOT A FIVE-STAR HOTEL...the staff is not there to cater to your every whim and wish...nor do they have the financial means to have a janitor waiting at each room or bed to instantly clean the room to white-glove condition...and, I'm sorry, you and your visitors have a responsibility to do your own part to keep your room/bed in decent condition.

Lastly, the whining about billing or other NON-MEDICAL ISSUES should not influence your rating of medical care; seriously, griping about the cost of parking? REALLY? If you have genuinely serious medical condition, parking rates should be the LAST of your concerns.

In all honesty folks, spend a little time at a suburban hospital that has free parking and looks all pretty, yet has terrible and indifferent staff that couldn't care less about your condition; you'll change your tune real quick-trust me, with my wife's liver issues, we've spend far too much time in such facilities, and I assure you that the grass ain't greener on the other side, and you'll appreciate the top-notch medical care you'll get at Jefferson.

NO, I am not an employee of TJUH-I'm just a regular guy who lives in central NJ that doesn't mind the one-hour commute to Jefferson so my wife can get the best care in the area.

My stay at Jefferson was excellent. In fact, I would not be alive today. As I was laying in bed at the hospital watching TV, my heart started going into rapid heart beat. I looked at the monitor and could see the beats of my heart and then a large blip on the screen and then immediately flatlined. Wondering how much time I had left, I had passed out before the large blip left the screen. In short, my heart had stopped beating. They worked quickly to bring me back. I would like share very heartfelt recognition to the entire staff and nurses that helped bring me back to life. I'm truly grateful for their quick response and expertise. Special mention to nurses Amanda Mulvey, Aubrey Cook and Rachael Link.

I just recently had my rhinoplasty done at Jefferson Hospital and I had such a wonderful experience. I had my surgery done with Dr. Krein (He's THE BEST). All of my nurses and doctors were so kind and I was so comfortable the entire time. I cannot say enough good things about how I was treated. I wish I knew the names of the wonderful nurses who comforted me after my surgery, one in particular comes to mind (I think he worked in the PACU) but he went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and told me patients should always be treated like they are family. My anesthesiologists were also amazing and kept me informed and helped me to feel relaxed as I went into surgery. Nurses, Doctors and all other hospital staff are truly angels. I am so truly thankful I was even able to have an elective surgery during this time and I would not hesitate even a moment to have another other surgery done at Jefferson.

I have spent much of my 54 yrs of life in hospitals due to an auto immunity disease. This jefferson center city hospital was the BEST hospital I've ever been! From how much each doctor team works together with the other doctors and myself! I was treated important as if I was part of their teams,! Which I am! The nurses, aids, student nurses, and every person who I came in contact with treated me with kindness, exceptional knowledge for their jobs and as if I was special,! My room was wonderful with a panoramic view of the city! I will never go to any other hospital again!

My son was in the neurology intensive care unit with a traumatic brain injury for a month. He was not expected to live. I can’t say enough about the expert care he received by the doctors and nurses!! To say it was a difficult time for our family would be an understatement. Kevin is truly a miracle as he is recovered and back to work. I thank God every day! If it wasn’t for the excellent doctors and nurses my son would not be with us today. The staff were all so supportive and kept us informed with every detail. They are truly amazing professionals. God bless you all for what you do!!
