Great experience, being a vegetarian the server provided better options and made it a better experience. The food was super good and the dessert was great. Definitely would come back again.

Went back 3/8 a second time, food tasted off and different. Service was great and vibe was good. Don't know if the chef had changed but the pesto was really thick

We had a great dinner! It was a quiet Sunday night, and our food was out quickly and it was absolutely delicious.
Our waiter Joe was so attentive and gave us excellent recommendations.

Upon walking into the restaurant, we received the warmest reception by a trio of waitstaff that clearly treats every new customer like family. Our server Mindy not only guided our selections with the finest of taste but also dished our some much-appreciated comic relief. And when our plates were empty and our bellies were full, she enticed us with mouth-watering desserts, one of which was the bake-less cheesecake. It was light, fluffy, and scrumptious…like diamonds to a palate. By the time we left, the dining area was packed with patrons—“regulars,” no doubt. I know we will be back for another exceptional dining experience.

We had a great time on a Saturday night. Place is larger than you would think but it was totally full by the time we left. Veal was really good and so was the gnocchi. BYOB

Me and two girlfriends tried Mare Monte last night after searching restaurants in South Jersey and trying to find one we had never been to. I’m not sure how I’ve never heard of this place but I am so glad I found it because we had one hell of a meal! To start, we split three appetizers including the octopus, escargot, and scallops special. It was our first time trying escargot and we were pleasantly surprised. It had a melt in your mouth garlicky butter taste. The octopus was cooked perfectly and came on a tasty bed of arugula salad. The scallops special was incredible as well. We then split a Caesar salad which reminded me of one of the best Caesars I have had at a local steakhouse so needless to say I was a huge fan. For entrees we got the spaghetti Silva, squid ink linguini, and the fettuccine special. The homemade pasta really makes all the difference. Each dish was full of flavor and my favorite was my choice, the fettuccine special that came with scallops, sausage, shrimp, and asparagus in a pesto sun dried tomato sauce. That alone was worth going back for. To finish off this insanely good meal, we split the chocolate crème brûlée and tiramisu. Both were very good. It’s safe to say we cannot wait to go back to try everything else on the menu. Highly recommend Mare Monte for your next dinner outing!

Fantastic addition to our local dining. We've done an annual dinner with siblings for 40 years and love trying new places. This one is a new favorite. Seating is not crowded; staff is friendly, attentive and efficient. Food was fantastic, even a staple like chicken picatta was A+ and the best I can remember. No small feat considering the number of excellent Italian restaurants in the area. The artichoke appetizer and the octopus were special treats. Pricing is reasonable making the whole experience an excellent value for the money. Will go again.

My husband and I love to try new places and especially byob. We tried this restaurant a few months ago and we LOVED it!! Beautifully decorated, our server was AMAZING and the food is ABSOLUTELY delicious and super reasonably priced! We have gone back 3 times since our first visit and have not been disappointed. We highly recommend checking this place out!!

Everyone in my family enjoyed their dishes, especially because the pasta is all homemade. The atmosphere is nice, and the staff made us feel at home. The desserts were especially very good, I've never had a chocolate creme Brulee and I was happily surprised. Would definitely go back again.

Always, always, always perfect. Over the last 5 years this place has become an amazing place for BYO Italian food. The staff is excellent and the menu item a more exactly what you expect. The food is fresh, the service is fantastic, and the desserts are amazing. I have never had such a great Italian food anywhere else. Their food is delicious and furthermore it comes with a great service. My favorite dish is pasta. No matter what they put there, the pasta is fantastic and it is homemade. When it comes to desserts, I never leave without one because they are very yummy.

Best place I’ve eaten this year. Traveled all over from San Antonio to Maryland this year and everywhere nearby. Mare Monte has been the highlight. Amazing food and frankly they ought to charge a lot more for what they provide. The staff are wonderful and the food and atmosphere are top notch. I can’t wait to come back again.

First time here and it was awesome. Came around 4:30pm and only one other couple came in until we left at 6. The tables are nicely spaced out and the decor is charming. Very clean throughout. Our waiter Aldo was also very attentive and kind.

The bread that comes before your meal was warm fluffy goodness.
Omg the asparagus soup was so good! It looks rich but it's light and just a touch creamy. Loved how well it was seasoned and asparagus flavor was phenomenal. The best part was how hot the soup was. Normally you go to restaurants, the soup comes ladled out 2 seconds after ordering and it's luke warm but I loved how hot the soup was here.

The mussels were seasoned perfectly and the sauce was great. Didn't get any grit either while eating them but I will say the mussels were pretty tiny. Maybe just the batch they got this time since I saw other people's pics with much bigger mussels. Tasted great though.

The parpardelle was food for the soul. Cooked al dente with a rich creamy sauce that isn't too thick. Scallops, spinach, crab, and sundried tomatoes all came together wonderfully.

The strawberry panna cotta was probably one of the best I've had. Had nice crunchy pieces of almond on top which adds awesome texture. The strawberry flavor tasted fresh and the chocolate syrup to the side was a nice touch.

The only weird thing was the regular creme brulee (they also had a chocolate flavored one). It was a bit eggy and the torched sugar had a slight bitterness to it. I'm gonna chalk this up to just being an unfortunate fluke because everything else tasted so good. Needless to say I was still very happy overall with my meal and will be back.

Wow. I can't believe this was our
first time here. Thursday night birthday dinner. We sat immediately. Server came right over, opened and poured our wine , got bread, and were told the specials. Perfect. Octopus and buratta apps was great! I ordered the squid ink pasta with shrimp. It was one of the best if not the best I've had. I've had to go way back to 2010 to compare it to a place in South Philly called Tre Scallini . They had the best and this was just as great! Thank you for a great dinner. We will definitely be coming back.

This place is a hidden gem. Delicious food and friendly staff. I was there with my fiancé who has a gluten allergy and they were very accommodating. They were able to change lots of dishes to make them gluten free (they also had gf pasta).

Mare Monte exceeded all my expectations. Everything- including the food, customer service, cleanliness, and atmosphere was nothing short of amazing! Highly recommend to anyone looking for that authentic Italian cuisine experience. I will keep coming back again & again 👍🏼

Ordered DoorDash and there were a few items missed. As I was about to contact the DoorDash customer service app I received a call that the restaurant already corrected their mistake and were sending out the rest of the order. THIS IS THE DIFFERENCE OF FAMILY OWNED RESTAURANTS VERSUS CORPORATE RESTAURANTS. They care about their customers and handle business right. Outside of the good service, Mare Monte’s food is outstanding. We usually dine at their restaurant which is a nice atmosphere for a date. Thank you Mare Monte we appreciate everything!

Mare Monte never disappoints!
Ambiance, service and food are excellent. Classic Italian dishes combined with creative daily specials make it hard to choose.
Food is prepared from scratch and with care. It never feels like they are trying to do too much with a dish. Fresh seafood and high quality meats, very reasonably priced.
Last time I was there I ordered the veal chop, with a side of pasta in oil and garlic. Both came out just as I expected; the veal was cooked perfectly and the pasta wasn't swimming in oil.

Definitely a favorite in the area! Keep it up Mare Monte!

We enjoyed a delicious meal at Mare Monte! The highlights were the artichoke appetizer- fresh with capers and spinach in bright sauce. We ordered the mushroom ravioli served in a rose cream sauce topped with small bits of crab! Delicious!! My husband ordered the squid ink linguine served with shrimp, mussels and scallops in a red sauce! Fresh and bright- the pasta was homemade and just a tad undercooked. Still delicious!!!I had the chicken monte which was delightful!!!

Omg! the best Italian restaurant in the World! lol The food is Amazing! and also reasonably priced too,All pasta is freshly made and delicious! 👌❤ You really feel like you are in Italy 🇮🇹 The Restaurant has a beautiful atmosphere and is very cozy, you can also eat outside which also has a beautiful ambiance. The Owner/Staff were very Welcoming & Kind!❤
