Scouters Mountain Nature Park

What a nice spot to chill. Friendly folks are all about. There’s quite a bit of new construction around the base of this hilltop. Views of Mt. Hood can be seen about to the east. They are better after the leaves fall but today was cloudy so they wouldn’t have been that impressive anyway. Maybe a mile and a half of forested off pavement wanderings are available here. The neighborhoods below have access to this knoll and adjoining houses probably sell for a markup. Now is the time to inquire if you desire any custom features with your next home. I don’t know the exact price points but they probably aren’t getting any cheaper unless we repeat a greater recession in 2029. But anyhey, enjoy this posh hood. The roundabout with artwork is one of my favorite roadway designs in the general area. There are always friendly folks and nice Corvettes with an occasional Porsche barreling around this space.

Beautiful preserved piece of a wooded forest with nice hiking trails that are not too difficult. ADA accessible by car to a beautiful view point for mount Hood that has a very convenient bathroom in it.

Due to an unfortunate hit and run accident that fractured my left leg 6 months ago, I can no longer get hike at the places I usually go, but Scouters Mountain is still accessible to me. It is beautiful and very well maintained here. This trails here will always be special to me.

Fantastic hike, decent length and a couple steep parts but over all really nice for me and 3 year old. Beautiful sites and nice area to sit in the middle.

Picnic table at the top of hill. Scouter Mountain lodge is long gone, but the picnic area has remnants from the original lodge. NO DOGS allowed, it's a nature park now. With a nice trail.

A wonderful place to hike. There are deer and other little critters. Also there are painted rocks to be found.

Trails are well maintained and an easy enough hike to do daily to get into shape.

We were so glad that dogs were not allowed. I am a dog owner and walk my dog daily. It was so nice not having to succumb to dodging dogs and what irresponsible owners neglect to pick up.

Nice quiet park. Small trails. Nice view of Mt Hood on a clear day.

I love going for a jog around this park. It’s short and sweet and all wooded. Rarely anybody else here and a great view of Mt Hood in the distance.

Such a great place to take an easy hike, but no pets allowed

It's very beautiful place for what it is. If you're looking for extensive trails and exploring this is not the place for you but the trail is very nice and there's a small trail around the top around the lava dome(about 35-40 minutes of walking total on all trails). Very nice views from the top and very well kept because of no bikes and no dogs.

I've never gone so late in the day, but the lighting was perfect!

Great public space and nature trail around the mountain! Well marked signs and paths & clean port-a-potty was nice, with the regular bathrooms closed. My son even saw a vole, which was exciting! Thanks for not developing this area into an ugly housing tract, and preserving it for the public to enjoy!👍

Quiet park for walking trails. Lots of wildlife, so pets are not allowed.

It is a really nice trail. With the birds singing in the sky. There’s a place to park outside. The trail is about 30 minutes long. With rest area at the viewpoints. A really enjoyable way to spend the day

Nice trail for kids! Good for stroller, though I recommend going to the gazebo view area first if you have a stroller because there's a narrow set of stairs and it's easier going down. My jogging stroller can make it down though it is a challenge but other than that it's a nice trail!
