The level of unprofessionalism I experienced with these people is second to none. April 2021 - I was asked to provide proof of address to prove where my vehicles are kept... no problem. May 2021 - My tax bill finally came in the mail and I emailed it over. June 2021 - My car insurance policy, which I have maintained in good standing for over two decades, lapsed due to failure to provide proof of address. I called Gallagher frantically for two days straight - even thought about driving up to Whippany, but MY CAR WASN'T INSURED - finally somebody answered at 2 in the afternoon on the 2nd day. Turns out, they "COULDN'T FIND" any of my emails!! I had proof of having sent them, but that apparently doesn't matter at all, nor did they care. The Gallagher agent held a conference call with Progressive, but the damage was irreversible. Gallagher offered no solutions. The agent then tried to rewrite a new policy, but in a concerning twist of events, Progressive said they weren't authorized to do that any longer! Wow, talk about letting more slide than just their long-time client's insurance policies! I asked the agent multiple times WHY I wasn't notified that they didn't receive my emails, why wasn't I alerted that that there was still impending doom, and their answer was "how would we know to tell you that we didn't receive it". WHAT? What was Gallagher's responsibility if not to FOLLOW UP with their client's policies?? To look out for them and not let them lapse?? What even IS their job?? I asked the agent WHY I am the only one now suffering these very serious consequences and loss of insurance as a result of a massive screw up that Gallagher is solely responsible for (and could have easily caught, if they had bothered). Their response to that question was "I can't hear you at all, we have a terrible connection." Every time! I asked several times throughout the conversation! Then when I asked if they'd like to call me back to fix the connection, they could suddenly hear me crystal clear. The closest thing to sympathy I got was literally an, "Oops, sorry about that." Seriously?!! That was Gallagher's very compassionate and heartfelt response to their complete failure to DO THEIR JOB? I ended up having to make myself a new policy directly through Progressive. And get this - without the agent? My insurance is now $800 CHEAPER. Eight HUNDRED! That is $1,600 a year LESS than I have been paying for the past twenty + years!!! I am SO RELIEVED to not be dealing with Gallagher any longer. Wow.

Highly unprofessional, glad not to be doing business with them. Do not recommend, there are so many great companies out there to chose from.
