Bunker Hill Bogs Recreation Area

A beautiful hike. Usually very quiet.

I really enjoyed this park. The trails were easy and clear. It started to rain, we had fun running back to the car. We ran into some ppl along our travels one man who was quite interesting who taught me about earthing. I can’t wait to revisit with my kids.

A great and quiet place in the middle of Jackson. Nothing for infants or toddlers. Anyone over 4 should enjoy the walk. If you want to do any of the complete circuits bring water and wear appropriate foot gear.

Simple relaxing natural trail, friendly neighbors and quiet atmosphere. You will definitely enjoy!

This recreation area aka Purple Heart Trail never disappoints. Absolutely fantastic place to walk, get some exercise, be in nature.

I loved seeing the flora in early spring and a few fish in the tannin brown waters I look forward to seeing it in full summer bloom and hiking all the trails fully.

Amazing bog with lots of wildlife to observe including frogs, fish, and turtles. Nice trail with lots of access points to water. Some spots muddy with carnivorous plants. Be ready for mosquitoes in season. A well kept secret because hardly anyone is here.

So beautiful! takes about an hour to walk around the whole trail. Definitely recommend going.

Trail is short but it cuts between two roads so its a useful dirtbike shortcut
