I have been using Cross County for over 15 years. During that time they have responded same day to emergency calls, serviced heating systems and appliances, replaced water heaters and repaired leaks.

Recently I made the mistake of using a _different_ local plumber who was top rated on Google reviews. That plumber made errors in repairing my gas heating system which ultimately led to a gas leak in the house. They came out 3 times to try and resolve it, and were useless.

I called Cross County who quickly identified and fixed issues with my gas line. I cannot stress enough the level of professionalism and diligence they demonstrated in the repair.

They are not the cheapest, but the work done is of a uniformly high standard. When it comes to issues involving water and _especially_ gas inside your house using a budget plumber is risky. I want someone who I can trust to do that work properly for the protection of my family.

Cross County is the only plumber in North Bergen County I trust, and I thoroughly recommend them to you.

After our 15 yr old water heating began leaking, I needed to find someone to replace the unit. Checked a few big box stores first but didn't feel comfortable with their level of expertise or their availability. I called John at Cross County on a Friday afternoon around 3 pm and explained the situation. He said they could have someone come by for an estimate in the next 15-20 min. Unfortunately, I wasn't home at the time so he said he would check if a crew would be available for the next day. He called me back within 30 min and scheduled me for the next morning.

Anthony and Lupe showed up exactly within their 1 hour window the next day. They were both professional, friendly, and courteous. After the job was done, they took the time to go over the unit with my wife and I and answered any questions we had.

Their pricing was not the lowest quote I had but I am willing to pay a little extra for quality work and service. I find that it can be difficult to even get a call back or people to show up on time(if at all).

I had a clogged sink and hired a plumber from Fairlawn that a friend of mine recommended. This plumber tried to snake the pipe but didnt work. So he said he had to try a different size of snake and will come back the next day. Next day came, the snake that he used still didnt do the job. Now he's telling me that he needed to do a high pressure jet that costs $800-$900 and will have to come back again the following day. Before this first plumber came back, I finally called Cross County and asked about the "jetting" that the previous plumber suggested. Though I didnt hire Cross County initially, John the owner, was kind enough to explain to me that "jetting" is not supposed to be done inside a house because it creates an epic mess of hot water with chemicals that comes back from the high pressure. I canceled the other plumber and decided to hire Cross County to look at my clogged sink. All they did was snake the pipe and run hot water through it and my sink finally worked. They were extremely professional and you can tell that they know what they're doing. John even called me after and asked if I was happy with it. I had to say that I was very pleased. I will never hesitate calling Cross County again if I need any plumbing work.

Bathroom sink clogged. They came charged 150.00 to walk in the door. They tried to snake it clean but couldn’t. So now the price goes to 395.00 . Said I need new trap. Ok , then they tell me pipe is too old, price is now 2500.00. I gave 319 and asked them to leave. I would not used these people for anything. Just awful!

I’ve used this company in the past and found there technician Travis extremely knowledgeable but the owner greedy. Recently my fan vent for my broiler went down. The technician came to my house and found the problem and called his owner John for the price of the job. John stated the cost of the job was $2,100. Being not pleased with the price, I asked if I provide the part how much would the labor be and he states $800 and that it would take four hours to complete the work. In addition to that, he required me pay him $150 now since his technician was already at my house. I then questioned him that the $150 would be removed out of the $800 when they completed the work...He says no. He began to lecture me that he’s been in business since 1984 and he teaches business classes and is on boards. Mind you, I’m a 52 year man that does sales for a well know media company associated with news agencies. These are the type of stories that our reporters love. Moving forward, he states that the part cost $1100. Wait for it, wait for it, I bought the part from my neighborhood plumbing supply house for only $521. I returned and he subsequently returned and completed the work. Standing next to him the entire time, he completed the work in about twenty minutes. It took another about twenty minutes for testing. Speaking with other professionals I found out that one hour of labor for one man would had been more responsible.

I will never use them again. The website states free estimates, none of this is true. SHAMEFUL!

Getting some work done with this company comes with a PRICE TAG! They replaced some broken parts in my toilet and it cost me a fortune. I should have just gotten a new toilet. The plumber was there for like 45 minutes and they charged me hundreds of $$$. The service was ok but the charge was just over the top. My wife almost killed me when she saw the bill. Would never hire them again because of overcharging.

They said they come to resolve a serious plumbing issue and they never called and never showed. Waited around all day. Never using them again.

I had a bad experience with another local plumber and this one was just as bad. I would not recommend them for anything.

Don't use this company. They don't do free estimate & charges huge sum per hour.
