Fantastic location for hiking, walking, mountain biking, and bird watching. Beautiful forest and meadow trails. Paved, gravel, and dirt trails are available. Extensive park with great mountain views on a clear day!

Take a moment to stop by the visitor center to learn about Portland’s water system. (Hint: two 50 million gallon water reservoirs are underneath the park.)

This place is so beautiful with pretty clouds. I think I found one of my favorite sunset spots in Portland. Lots of fruit trees and dog walkers. It looks like a great biking trail for beginners. There was also a marked heritage tree.

Beautiful park on the outskirts of Portland. Great place to jut over and get out to nature.

Beautiful sunsets if you time it right. It’s got a good amount of parking. Great place to dog watch.

It's always a great place to go walk my dog. Surprisingly there was a lot of people there today. Enough to where there was no parking and even seen a couple police cars there and they were up there flying drones.

Great hike about 1.5 mile round trip to parking lot and back. Some most of it paved depending which direction you go. There’s trails that branch off in different directions. Mountain bikes every now and then. Good views on clear days

Really love this hiking area. It's close to home with plenty of parking. Dog friendly. Mostly paved paths, making it much more accessible to everyone. There are also little off-shoots that are all forested areas. You can truly go for as long or as short as you'd like! Beautiful all year. Also seeing so many mountains from one spot is a bonus!

One of my favorite parks in all the Portland metro area. I am bias because I live pretty close to this park. Great place to go on a walk, hike or run. I take my dog here at least once a week. Beautiful trails and scenery and great views of MT. Hood and a few others from the viewpoint.

Great place to for a short walk or a longer hike (you've got options!). Great views of Mt Hood and St Helens. You can also see Mt Adams, Mt Jefferson, Mount Rainer, and other local mountains, depending on the weather. some trees have gotten quite tall over the years, and it's harder to see some of them from the viewpoints.

Powell Butte is one of the city’s absolute best park. It’s unreal to me that you can jump from such an urban landscape into hiking this fantastic so abruptly.

There are hours of trails to explore here, and solid amenities when you arrive as well. Ample parking, picnic tables, water fountains, brick and mortar bathrooms, and good signage for finding your way. Whether you’re casually strolling on foot, cycling, or hunting switchbacks in hiking gear, you really can’t go wrong with Powell Butte.

Beautiful nature park located in a central location and easy to find. I enjoyed the beautiful views of the mountains and the forest trails too. I saw quite a few picnic areas and benches to rest. It is also well demarcated so is easy to find your way in case you feel lost. The washrooms at the main entrance are spacious but needed some cleaning despite being well stocked. Nonetheless, breathtaking views and I can't wait to visit again.

This park is so much fun! I did a 4.5 mile loop hike that took me around most of the perimeter of the park, which had both exposed and tree-covered sections. With so many trails to choose from you can really tailor your experience to what you want; in other words, there's something here for everyone. Try to go on a clear day and you'll get some exceptional views of the Cascades as a sweet bonus!

We love this park and it's battery of hiking trails. On a clear spring day it's amazing view of Mt. Hood is gorgeous. Dogs must be leashed but the trails are nice and amenable to using a longer retractable leash (just be polite when others walk by please) and letting your pup sniff. During the week, it's uncrowded and a truly pleasant walk throughout.

Beautiful views with a variety of hiking, running, and biking trails. Quick drive from most of Gresham. The trails connect to many neighborhoods and other trails. Open gravel and dirt trails through grasses and treed canopy. Many trails from mild to medium. Expect some puddles and mud at places during the wet season. Flat, incline, and decline trails. Parking, especially on nice days, can be scarce. It's totally worth driving around until someone pulls out. Handicapped parking with some paved sidewalks. Bathrooms open most of the time. Dog on leash friendly.

My family often goes to this park. It is accessible from the bike path as well as with the car from the parking lot. A lot of trails through it for biking, horseback riding and hiking. It can be steep/shady in the wooded areas but once at the top it’s sunny and flatter. Views of Mt. hood and St Hellens at the top. Wildlife such as deer, birds and turtles can be spotted. It is a kids friendly location.

One of the best hidden gems of the Portland Metro area, awesome place to sight-see, walk, hike, exercise, Cycle, eBike, MBX, endurance train, etc.
You can see a large area of the Cascade Mountain Range, including Mt. Hood, Mt. Rainer and Mount St. Helens. Visibility of 50+ miles on a clear day. Deer are often seen and enchanting Forest Trails are inviting. I've been going here for years and still am discovering unknown areas to explore.

I never get tired of coming here. So many trail options through beautiful fields or trees! Despite being so close to town, I don't see too many people once I'm in the woods, nor hear nearby traffic. The view of Mt Hood is such a nice bonus.
