Jay's Wide Shoes

Ilove this store. When we lived in Vancouver 6 years ago, I only got my shoes from Jay's. So, while visiting last month, I went in to get shoes. The people who work there are really nice and know their stuff! I'm diabetic and need a wide show. I was looking for a particular kind of shoe. The gentleman who helped me showed me which ones would be best for my needs. They were ideal for what I was wanting, but I had to take a size larger due to them not being wide shoes. After wearing them around the house a few days I noticed they were slipping a lot and running a blister on my upper heels. I took them back and asked for a half size smaller. This store didn't hv it in white, but ordered it from another store to be delivered to me in Georgia. They arrived about a week later and are PERFECT! I love them and will prob get another pair, or two, in different colors. (They are Taos brand)

Going to Jay’s is like the first class shoe stores of the past, salespeople that know their products very well, they listen to your concerns, talk about the shoe as they help put the shoe on and off. They actually measure your feet! They evaluate your stride and really know what they are talking about.
I have 4E width and one foot with a little claw toe so have unusual needs in feet. My podiatrist Dr. Steve Tillett recommended Jays and because I live on the Westside it took me a while to come over to Jay’s Clackamas location. I wish I had come over sooner!
I came into to buy some walking shoes and hiking boots. The salesperson showed me a variety of both styles and I walked out the door with Keene shoes and Dunham boots. I’ve had them for a couple,of weeks and they are fitting great.
IF YOU HAVE WIDE FEET AND LIVE ANYWHERE NEAR THE PORTLAND METRO AREA, GO TO JAY’S!!!!

I have been coming here since I was a tater tot, and own the same pair of finn's comfort sandals that I swear by! I have had the same pair for over 4 years or so, and multiple other types of shoes that I can only get from Jays. If Jays shoes was a person, I would hug them and make them food. Without them, I don't think I would have as much of a pleasant life/walking experience, or shopping experience!

I had forgotten the size I had ordered 1.5 years ago - Jays Shoes actually called me to verify my order because it was different from a year ago (I had ordered incorrect size). I am so impressed with them. I will be buying more than just insoles from this company in the future. You can’t go wrong with this place.

I have big feet and Jay's had shoes that fit me! I usually have to spend a good hour at most stores trying to find shoes that I like that fit me. My feet are extra wide and most shoes are made for narrow feet. Jay's had a good variety of wide shoes and I was in and out in minutes with 2 pairs of shoes that actually fit. The staff was friendly and helpful.
They are located in a busy shopping center so there is a large parking lot but it could be difficult to find a spot if it is a busy day.

I've always had a hard time finding shoes that fit me. After finally trying some wide shoes last year, I realized I kept buying too narrow of shoes. After my last pair of non-boots wore out, I was looking for some good wide sneakers. The problem? Most look awful.

I finally decided to stop into Jay's Wide Shoes and was pleased with the variety. And it's got a real old-school vibe to the customer service. I left with an awesome, durable and stylish pair of comfy, wide shoes that fit my feet. Highly recommend this place if you're having trouble finding shoes that just fit.

Love this shoe store. I can always get the right fit and style for me. Please come back to the Westside.

Jay's offers a great selection of stylish wide shoes for both men and women. I always find something when I shop there.

Employees were super helpful and friendly, everyone was really genuine. I didn't expect to find shoes that I really liked aesthetically, but I found incredibly comfy shoes that worked with my style. I'm super satisfied, as a taller person it's hard to find normal shoes in my # size, but that wasn't a problem either. I had a great experience, and I'll definitely be back.

Took my 79yr old mother up there as that's the only place she buys shoes. Dennis helped her out and was absolutely 100% a expert and very attentive and personable helping my mother. He was just awesome.

This store only has extra extra wide shoes. The kind gentlemen that assisted me let me try a pair on and we confirmed they were too wide. I was impressed with his integrity because he simply said that they had nothing at the store in my size (all the products were too wide for my feet) and referred me to a store right down the road. I'm so impressed with the service here, I wish my feet were wider!

Since I was diagnosed with planterfaciatis years ago, I've been going to Jay's. Both my big toes have fused, I have very high arches, and wide feet. Jay's is the only place I can get shoes that not only fit, they make my feet feel good! From hiking boots to dress shoes, Jay's has what I need. I love that all I have to do is show them what I want and tell them my name. They get my size and out the door I go.

Recently ordered some shoes online. But there were complications. Alan Barthold as well as the staff made my experience with Jay's wide shoes memorable. Thank you for the great customer service, will ship there again.

Took my mom here. She has a very hard time finding shoes. They took measurements and she described what she wanted and they knew right what to bring out. She got a great pair of shoes in just a few minutes and they were very knowledgeable and nice there!! Highly recommend. Worth the drive from Hillsboro!!

Great experience. I went to show mill before and walked out bc the girl there was not helpful and oddly combative. I walked into Jay's and walked out with the perfect pair of shoes that have been great. The salesperson was knowledgeable and also listened to what I was looking for. He was honest about the pros and cons of the shoes I was looking at.

Today was my first time to shop/buy foot wear. The sales person knew the products well. He introduced new quality brands to me, to which I bought a few! Another important factor regarding the shoes at Jay's; they carry larger sizes and specialize in wide shoes! BIG PEOPLE look no more, they got us covered!!!

Great old fashioned shoe store. The gentleman was very friendly and knowledge. He measured my husband's foot, got the right shoes and put them on him and tied them for him. Great service.

Great selection of shoes and a variety of the extremely hard to find sizes, like a 6E.

These people are amazing! Every time I go in there, I feel pampered and cared for. Even though I only go once or twice a year, they still remember my name and who my family is. I wear a very large shoe size and I'm really tired of having to wear men's shoes and be called "sir" because I'm so tall and have big feet. Jay's has my size! They help me find shoes that work for me despite the limited selection produced by manufacturers. If you have wide feet or wear a women's size larger than 9 or 10, do yourself a favor and shop at this store. They're wonderful! Don't let the price of the shoes scare you away because my shoes from them last 10 times as long as what I'd buy anywhere else. My last shoes from them lasted so long that I walked almost all the tread off of the soles. It took me 13 months to do that even though I walk a lot. I'm still wearing them in the barnyard because they still have some life left in the uppers.

Allen was so helpful and kind to my stepfather and I during our visit! We found a great pair of shoes for him as well, but felt no pressure to buy (we did take the shoes!). I highly recommend them! Thank you for treating us so well!
