This place has been on my bucket list for a while. On the way to Anaheim Ducks, we decided to stop here, at the first McDonalds. After ordering, we sat in the building next door where they have a lot of memorabilia. Worth a visit!!

You go here not really for the food (it's still McDonald's and maybe not among the bests .. even if I read in one of the reviews about this place, that they serve ONLY HERE a special fried apple pie 🥧 and please try it 😋 ) , but you go here for the history of the place!!!!!
It takes a looooong trip from Los Angeles downtown, riding a very busy street, but if you have seen the movie McDonald's, this place has to be visited 👌 it's very characteristic!!!

... my honest opinion thought : it's a place that should be more cleaned up and better kept up , because it's still a place where to eat and worthy to be visited!

Oldest working McDonald's in whole world!

Food was good and I got a free addone! Maybe it was for me being as a tourist🤔

There was also a museum telling history of McDonald's.

Toilet door did not lock up and I told this to workers. They promised to fix it.

Oldest Macdonalds in the world. Worth a visit! Don’t expect to find everything clean and new. This is a historic place so it looks like original, the feeling is that you’re back in 1953. Thy also have a little museum and seats available. The restrooms are not that clean. But that is fine because I’m there for the history. The food is good btw.

Quick service, not too crowded at dinner and it’s got a cool vibe. Got 6 of the fried apple pies for my mom but can’t rate them since I didn’t eat any.

Built in 1953, this is the oldest McDonald's. It has kept the original building and arches and they have a little museum too. Definitely worth checking out for 5-10 mins to learn about this piece of American history.

Looks great in person... You know for an early McDonalds location.
The food is what you expect from a Mcdonalds restaurant. I went for thr classic cheeseburger.

There is a little museum at the back of the dining area. The old style packaging brings back memories

If you're in LA, I would say this is a must visit place, ez to miss but also unmissable with the large single arch. This is the oldest McDonald's in the world, it brings you back in time, even has a little museum with old packaging and newspaper clippings. Toilets were disgusting but food was nice and fresh.

A really cool McDonald's! It is the oldest one that is still operating. It is really neat. There is also a museum that is much larger than expected in the seating area to the right. The museum shows a lot of history about McDonald's and how it first started. Loved the location, definitely check it out if you're in the area.

It was very nostalgic and the food seemed alot better then here in new york the staff was very friendly and inviting. Never had such a delightful experience in a McDonald's before and to see all the item I remember in the past on display was so awesome. My kids also enjoyed it alot. The manger even gave my daughter (11 years old) a hat because he playfully offered a job. It was well kept and also clean definitely an experience to visit the oldest McDonald's still around with a rich history.

Love this iconic original McDonald's location. Love the old school Fried Apple Pies! Yum However, I am disappointed with the changes to the museum. They removed the office and some other stuff. It now looks like cr^p.

Came here to get the fried, not baked, apple pie. If you're going to be naughty, go flew blown or just don't do it. Yeah, it was crunchy, sweet, and a little finger licking greezy. Perfect. Don't do this often and other MDs don't carry the fried apple pie.
