wonderful facility and staff and helped me feel supported and stronger during my crisis. there's a positive connection among the staff and patients and you can tell they really care about us (patients). in a way I wish I could go back because I felt protected and safe from the outside world and stressers in my normal life. the food and shower facilities are just okay but it is a hospital so my expectations were low. if I ever struggle again I will go back there for sure

The safest, healthiest sanctuary and medical team I've ever seen. These people save lives, and more importantly they teach you how to save your own life.

I stayed for a week and took every group/class. After being home a week, I was having increased s' thoughts, and was encouraged to reach out again, so I did.

This place saved my life. Literally. Some of the staff may know who I the last name isnt my real one, if they worked there around 2012. You can never be too safe online. I was in bad shape. In my early 40s and was so weak from being yo-yo ing on heroin, oxycodone and any other opiates i could find. I had tried getting on suboxone at an outpatient somewhat sketchy well known non kaiser facility in S Salem a few months prior with no luck, as they didnt know how to properly induct someone as I now know. I went through living hell with precipitated withdrawals for days because of their incompetence and it scared me off trying again for some time. Its a hell i would t wish on anyone. They tried to get me on it far too soon after my last dose of heroin. I was so riddled with anxiety over having to face withdrawals if i couldnt find my next dose. I was ready for suicide and It dawned on me that I had KP insurance so i called and spoke w someone and decided i had nothing to lose being honest. Long story short, after a few days i was entering (over an hour late, and they werent happy with me as my anxiety over W/D made me hesitant) and treatment began. It was terrifying at first, but the wonderful staff went out of the way to make me feel as comfortable as possible under rhe circumstances. I was given a cocktail of meds to help with the awful heroin withdrawals and i actually fell asleep! Anyway after about a full day or so later, and many thorough checks to see if my WD were severe enough and really feeling the depths of withdrawals i was inducted successfully onto buprenorphine and the rest is history. I credit them with getting my life back on track, and frankly even being alive today. Ive had zero relapses in part due to the skills given in the almost 4 days i spent there. Its intensive, and half hearted people need not apply. You have to really want to get well. If you do and you have the insurance, i recommend it highly. These professionals know what they are doing. Doug Beal is as good as they come. Thank you for saving my life!

It was a life changing experience, not only for myself but others there. But like school, they give you the tools, it's up to you to use them. They were very interactive with my family, they encourage family sessions to help our loved ones understand. There medical services were not only top notch but immediate. Their staff was kind, there doctors, proactive, even the food was great. It was a very safe environment. I know so many people who could use a stay there and improve the quality of life.

I went into Brookside in April 2019 for mental health issues. I really enjoyed my time there. The employees were great the counselors were helpful and the other patients were great to get to talk to. I highly recommend this place if you are having a mental health crisis.

The staff are of the kindest people in the world!
I felt like I was in a 5 star resort. Even the food seemed as it was from a 5 star restaurant. I had multiple needs. Everything was well coordinated.

I have been in Brookside many times. The staff is amazing, especially Marion. They care about you so much. I would recommend this faculty to anyone who is struggling with mental illness and needs a safe place to be.

My Brookside experience was healing and kind. The staff were compassionate and skilled.
