This place saved me from being pulled away from the job site. This is the Perfect hardware store with a helpful & friendly guy behind the counter.

Montvale hardware is an icon in Montvale NJ … The owner is extremely accommodating even through Covid ! I highly recommended them for a big project or just a quick tube of caulk ! The BM paint section is wonderful. This place has that old school wooden creaking floor hardware feel and we in Montvale cherish it so !!!!! You must visit

The staff here is genuinely helpful and knowledgeable. Just the other day, the gentleman I spoke to patiently answered questions I had about a temporary ceiling bandaid "fix" I was considering making. He explained why I should not do it, which meant me not buying the product I went in for, but should wait to hire professionals to actually fix my problem. This kind of thing has happened before here: they give the help and advice that is best for the customer, even if it loses a sale for them. It's why I trust and like them, and patronize them before the soulless money grabbers at the "big" (in square footage, not customer service) hardware stores.

Great fast service. They carry Benjamin Moore paints. No such store ir product where I live. I like the BM super ceiling white paint. It covers well and spreads the ceiling lighting evenly.

I used to work here when I was in high school, 24 years ago. I drove by recently as I was passing through NJ and was delighted to see that this store still stands. I walked in and was pleasantly surprised to see that it was still well stocked and a great resource for the community.

Excellent neighborhood hardware store. The staff is always knowledgeable and VERY helpful. Since they carry Benjamin Moore paints, this is my go-to place for painting projects as well.

I love this place, in the tradition of small family-owned hardware stores, with aisles jammed with stuff. I almost always find what I am looking for! Very friendly staff!
