I went here with my predominately italian family after a family gathering. We had a party of 54 and we fit comfortably - with some room to spare. Would estimate ~75 could comfortably fit. The staff was attentive and considerate. Several family members had dietary restrictions and were accommodated seamlessly. Vicolo was definitely a suitable choice for the occasion and i would recommend it for other families seeking the same.

Oh and, definitely order the chocolate mousse. Js

I was not expecting my meal to be as incredible as it was. The appetizer was okay, the soup was good and my seafood meal was the best I have had. Maybe it was the atmosphere with the couple of drinks I had or the entertainment singer they had which made the whole experience along with the great company of wife and close friends to enjoy my meal as much as I did. This is a place we will return to. Give it a try. I think you will enjoy it.

Very good food and service! The wait staff was very accommodating and pleasant. The ribeye steak was amazing, slight char on the outside and mid rare (as ordered) inside. The lamb chops were very good but some spice used in the crust did not quite work for me. Both meals were generously portioned; plenty to take home if you can bring yourself to stop!

Manager and staff attentive, healthy portions, wide variety of appetizers and entrees, excellent preparation, and everything is fresh.

There is a excellent selection of wines from which to choose and the bar is well stocked. Cordial atmosphere and a good venue for families seeking value.

The manager will accommodate special food requests; desserts were above average in taste.

The ambiance is a bit retro traditional style Italian; and one of the best in Bergen County.

Their reviews speak for themselves; I plan to frequently return. Bravissimo!

I wasn't sure about this restaurant when it was recommended to me. It is a tiny storefront in a strip mall. Lesson learned... don't judge a restaurant by it curb appeal. Service was very good. Attentive and no long wait between courses. A wonderful wine was recommended by the waiter. A salad was included with a fantastic creamy balsamic dressing. The portions were generous. All three of us left with enough food for lunch the next day. The creme brulee was the best I've ever tasted. I'll be returning again... and often. Highly recommended.

You have to laugh at the one and two star reviews, to drunk clearly comedy. Anyway never had a bad meal here and everything I’ve had is better than most other places. The chicken scarpariello is the best in the business! Mussels, broccoli rabe with sausage pasta dishes you really can’t go wrong. The portions are huge if you can finish one of their dinners your a great eater you’d be competition for Joey Chestnut. Very good value. Super nice staff one of my favs.

This restaurant is such a breath of fresh air! Delicious food, wonderful atmosphere, exceptional service. I just can't say enough...oh and by the way great entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights. You have to try out this place, you won't be disappointed.

We received a coupon by mail and decided to try it. In our opinion, the restaurant has the best dinners ever!
The atmosphere is Italian with Sinatra/Andrea Botelli music. Table seating. A complimentary little antipasto with warm bread, olive oil and pesto blend for bread dipping, small pieces of cheese and salami, just enough. Fish is delish, Salmon with lobster sauce a favorite, fresh steamed veggies and fresh mashed potatoes. Great menu of choices but not overwhelming . Full bar too.
Dinners, Monday thru Thursday are buy one get one free and lunch specials are offered as well.
The owner is very friendly and stops to chat with all his customers. You will find this gem of an eating place in a strip mall. Just celebrated our Anniversary there!

Fantastic lunch specials menu with excellent, plentiful food and friendly service. Our goto for high quality, healthy lunches in a cozy atmosphere. Great for singles or groups! 😊 We highly recommend.

Ben is a great guy and very fair. Great place to order take-out or dine in. He also does really great trays for a party. We've done that several times and it's been terrific.

Great food, everything my family and I have tried has been excellent. The pappardelle bolognese is one of the best I’ve had anywhere (lifelong Northern NJ/NYC resident and Italian/Greek family member, so I knows what I says! Capisce?)

My wife and I met some friends for dinner at Vicolo in Old Tappan on a Friday night. We really enjoyed the food and the service was good. All of us were entertained by the singer Neil Dankman. He began the evening with some mellow songs and by the end of the night we were laughing and singing along with him. We will be back on a Friday night again. Thank you Vicolo for a great night!!

Excellent authentic food, unusually large portions, fantastic taste and very fresh. I love this place. Owner operated. Very much a family-run business.

I really like this place. The food is great and the singer on friday nights is very entertaining and personable. The restaurant isn’t near me but i’d go out of my way because of the singer and the great food. They serve traditional italian and everything is flavorful and delicious. Highly recommend.

Everything was excellent from starters to desert. Limoncello cake superb, zucchini flowers wonderful as well as the lamb osso buco and sole francaise.

Frank Brown You seem to be the only person that thinks that! Anyone that knows Benny knows he is a great and very generous restauranteur!!! So shoo fly! Nobody needs that kind of negativity!!! I give Benny 5 stars!
