Taste of Bangkok in Happy Valley

This restaurant was a random stop for us because my husband was craving soup.

We were a bit indecisive about what to order so the server helped make suggestions but we ended up ordering what we normally would order at another restaurant or what we were accustomed to. We ordered Beef salad, papaya salad, pad thai, tom yum soup, chicken skewers and salad rolls, and for dessert, mango sticky rice.
The pad thai was my favorite because the pad thai was sweet & sour and had the perfect amount of sauce ( sourness likely from tamarind). If you don't like your food sour, than these may not be for you, pad thai, the beef salad, papaya salad ( very refreshing, btw) and tom yum soup are all also sour but its supposed to be that way!

I, 100% recommend this place! The staff are all friendly and have great customer service skills.

We'll be back to try the other dishes, specifically Khao Soy, Khao moo dang and EVERYTHING ELSE.

Excellent food. Great atmosphere and plenty of vegetarian/vegan options. Seasoned very well and servers are pleasant. Large portions & great value. The shrimp roll appetizers are the best ever!

Very welcoming staff, my favorite Thai food in the area. I usually get the Are Wrap and chicken satay for appetizer, khao moo dang, pad see ew, drunken noodles, fantastic tofu, 3 flavor fish. All absolutely delicious. My son has tried drunken noodles in every Thai restaurant he goes to and this place is his favorite.

First time trying. Ordered Pad Kee Mao med spicy to-go. Better than I expected. Flavorful but not too spicy. The chicken and the veggies, like tomatos, bell peppers and basil were quite fresh.

I was a bit late to pick up so the dish has sat for maybe 10-15 minutes before I put it into my mouth. Still, very tasty.

Glad to have a decent Thai restaurant in my neighborhood. Will come back to try out other dishes. Hope the food quality will be consistent!

Update:
Tried the see eww and yellow curry. Did not disappointed. Really like how the hot and dry feeling of the spicy oil/ sauce they use. I have had a similar taste of these thai dishes somewhere in the past, but not in the last town I lived in. I definitely miss these!!

Delightful Thai restaurant. The service is friendly and wonderful. Great choice of meals and appetizers, and everything is delicious. Inside and outside dining is available.

The pad see ew with tofu and a side of peanut sauce was a warm delicious treat on a chilly winter evening. Seating and lighting are relaxing, and the friendly service is exceptional.

We love the food taste and variety. The red curry is delicious, here is a photo of crispy duck with red curry.

Great place for Thai food. I always start with chicken satay appetizer. It tastes great with the peanut sauce. I like the Green Curry with chicken and white rice. Mild + spice. My wife has the Chicken Pad Thai with no peanuts and brown rice. She is GF and DF so this is perfect for her. Top off dinner with sticky rice and mangoes. The atmosphere is nice for dinner with your wife or a meeting with a friend. I have done both.

Have always been curious about this place and we decided to go with my family and wow! Fantastic service, even learned about butterfly pea flower (which the marg is delicious) and also had great fresh food!! We all enjoyed every dish we ordered. We will be back again!!

This is by far the best Thai food I've ever had in the Portland Oregon area. The owner is one of the sweetest ladies you will ever meet. The food is so very delicious, easy the mango sticky rice dessert. It's making my mouth water just thinking about it . I can't wait to go back for more.

The first time I dined here I wasn't all that impressed but went back a second time and enjoyed my Chicken Pad Thai. Hubby and I had lunch there yesterday and everything was just amazing. We started our meal with Crunchy Crab Cheese roll and it's so tasty. We had this appetizer one other time and it was equally delicious yesterday. We shared a small bowl of Tom Yum with Prawns and that is THE MOST amazing soup I've ever had. But I love lemongrass and it's the only soup I've ever had with lemongrass as one of the many flavors. I also had the Cashew Flavor with mild heat along with their Salad Rolls from the lunch menu. So much food...but SO DELICIOUS! Service was great too...We'll be back. I may even stop in for a large bowl of their Tom Yum. Even though Tom Yum is a hot soup, it has such bright flavors that it appeals to me even in the summer.

I’ve eaten here several times and the food is always great. The decor is nice and arguably most important, the staff are VERY friendly and helpful. They have a good kids menu as well which is huge for me. A lot of Thai restaurants (in my own experience) don’t have a kids menu or young kid friendly food. My 1 year old is very picky and loved his Thai omelette. Highly recommend this place!

Had such a great time with my boyfriend here! The food and their specialty drinks were amazing and very unique. From the start the staff was very friendly, patient while we decided as this was our first time, and so kind. One of my favorite food/drink experiences hands down. We'll definitely be coming back. Made my first visit to this venue today and was pleasantly surprised by my experience here. I was not expecting a five star experience after spying the restraunt. The service was prompt, friendly, and efficient. The menu wad presented very well with a good many options. You have a very good idea of what you are ordering and I found myself in anticipation for the meal. While awaiting the dish the ambiance was nice and appealing with easy music playing in the background. After a minimal wait the food was delivered hot and with good presentation.
After tasting a few dishes it became apparent that the materials used were very fresh and well prepared. The flavors were on point with my expectation of fresh Thai food and made my taste buds dance. It was not long before my plate was empty and it was time to pay the very acceptable bill and begin planning the next visit to my new favorite Thai experience.

Amazing food in a beautiful, relaxing environment. The staff and owners are attentive and friendly. Their menu is heads and shoulders above your average Thai restaurant. They have all your favorites, but their specialities are where it's at. Have eaten there numerous times and am always thrilled with the quality of the food. Five stars all the way.
