I’ve been with summitt as a team for almost six months. Very family oriented and care for their drivers. Haven’t had any issues with freight and 90% drop and hook. Very rarely we have to live load or unload. Which in turn keeps you moving. Been home every time we have asked to be. Thanksgiving, Christmas, death or emergency at home, or just to go home for a 34 to hug our kids. Can definitely see me retiring from this company.

As a Truck driver it's hard to find that one company u can actually drive in peace and make a decent leaving. But u don't have to take my word for it I just rather you come see for yourself this is truly a great place to drive for with consistent home time and wonderful benefits

In my 29 years of driving tractor trailer, Summitt is one of the best companies I've ever driven for. They ALWAYS have a pre-plan on me and there are plenty of miles to be had. Also, I have no problem getting home time when I need it each month. Very good company and VERY friendly staff.

Been driving for Summitt for a year now. As an O/O if you won't to run hard you will. The dispatchers are really good ppl ( night dispatch there's one or two that doesn't won't to be there seems like but a majority of them are there if you need anything. I really can't say anything bad about my experience with them. Great company great work atmosphere. I made good money with the miles I ran.

I have worked for several Trucking companies in the last 10 or so years. I can honestly say I've been here a week since orientation and I've found a great family environment and a company that cares more about the driver than any I have ever worked for. I CAN SEE BEING HERE A LONG TIME THANKS SUMMITT

I been driving for 29 yrs. I’ve been here at Summitt trucking for less than a year and I wouldn’t recommend anyone to work here. It’s been the worst ride I’ve ever had. Terrible insurance, they have cameras looking at you and no miles. And Safety thinks they are the Department of Transportation. The Dr that’s station there in they’re terminal is some Wack from the army that thinks she’s the boss with a terrible attitude treats drivers like garbage. If you go see your dr on your own like your yearly regular physical that some people do yearly, they’re dr wants all the tests like blood sample etc and everything including a letter that you can go back to work full duty as a driver or you can’t go back to work for them. That happened to Nathan and that’s when I gave them my weeks notice. That’s illegal. If I see my private dr for my regular yearly physical on my own terms on my off days I do not have to hand over any results of anything to anyone, that’s private unless my dr finds something wrong and that I couldn’t drive, and then it would be a different story. But that wasn’t the case for that driver. They’re very sneaky and they’re safety director use to be a state trooper that was released from his job. For what? Who knows! They will tell you they have blue cross n blue shield for insurance but when you get there is not. is some Kentucky health that cost you an arm and a leg and you pay almost everything cause it doesn’t cover hardly much. Good Luck! The reviews you see here with positive reviews are the A s s kissers of the company. Ever since well I’ve been working at FedEx freight running doubles from Cumberland RI to Newburgh NY and back home everyday and a great weekly pay and a good health insurance . If you apply at FedEx freight just need to have hazmats and doubles endorsement that’s all. And believe me it’s the way to go.

Running reefers for Summitt is the best money I have ever made driving a truck. I regret leaving everyday. I had no choice but to come home and take a local position or I would still be there. Everyone is extremely friendly and I never felt like I had a boss looking over my shoulder or a safety person nit picking my decisions. They treat drivers the way we should be treated. You can’t go wrong working for Summitt.

Summit gave me my first job after being off work fighting cancer for a year and a half, they worked with me to get back in the grind, everyone there was so nice and really cared about me and how I was doing, they are Awesome
