Pleasant Barber Shop

Although this is not the most modern place, it's not flashy, it's not professionally decorated, it's not fancy......however if you want a good if not great haircut this is the place to go. Not only do you get a great haircut, but the owner (Abe) has to be the quickest barber I have ever had the opportunity meeting. He's quick, he's good, he's professional, and although he's not, he believes he's a funny guy. The shop is open early and closes late. The work by appointment and welcome walk-ins. The prices are comparable or cheaper than other shops. They also do color, shaving, shape ups, fades, etc. No matter how many people are waiting there is never more than a ten minute wait because the concentrate on giving a good haircut in the minimum amount of time. I've been there and seen police officers, surgeons, politicians, all getting their hair cut.....

I recently had the absolute pleasure of getting a haircut at Pleasant Barber , and I can confidently say that it was the best haircut experience I have ever had. From the moment I walked in until the moment I left, I was blown away by the exceptional service, skill, and attention to detail provided by the incredible team at this establishment. The moment I stepped through the doors, I was greeted with a warm and friendly welcome. The ambiance of the shop was inviting and comfortable. My barber Abe, deserves special recognition for his outstanding talent. He took the time to listen attentively to my haircut preferences and offered valuable suggestions based on his expertise. Always a great experience bringing my son for a haircut here. I’ve found the staff to be efficient and courteous. Barbers take the time to understand what’s needed, check in throughout cut and do quality work.

Best barber shop in Jersey. I am an extremely picky New Yorker that has curly hair and a low skin fade. So many barbers do not understand how to blend correctly and cut curly hair but Joel does! He is one of the best I have ever had and it’s worth making the trip.

Joel is patient and listens to your needs. He doesn’t waste time talking to other barbers during a haircut. He fades quickly but does a thorough job which is what I love because I’m a New Yorker with zero patience but expect perfection.

Joel is a rising star in the barber industry. Super clean lines and neat cuts. He’s very polite and makes sure you’re happy. So far plenty of compliments on my hair cuts after seeing him so I’ll keep going back.

I come here every once in awhile. They are very friendly, are very swift and skilled, and the price is not bad. I'm thankful because I'm a student and I need an affordable place. This place is also gender inclusive and makes me feel safe. No weird questions if I got my hair cut somewhere else. Easy to talk to but not too talkative, just a good enough.

Just moved to Bergen County and I've been looking for a barber shop that can give me a nice beard fade, straight razor shave, and knew what they were doing with my long hair that I'm growing out. Abe checked all those boxes. The price was reasonable and there was no issue making an appointment. This will be my regular barber shop moving forward.

In November of 2021 I was looking for a new place to get a haircut. One day while I was in Maywood I noticed the Pleasant Barbershop and decided to make an appointment. I was very impressed with the haircut I received and how professional the barbers are. However I did not know if this establishment would be my go to place for a haircut until I went for a second haircut. I did so on December 9, 2021. I can say with all certainty that The Pleasant Barbershop will be my go to place from now on. As I mentioned previously the staff is very professional. They do their job very well and treat their customers very respectfully. What also impresses me about the shop is they are very prompt to respond to customers' inquiries. Every email I have sent, whether it be a question or an appointment request, was answered within minutes. When I was a Supercuts customer my inquiries to Customer Service would more often than not go unanswered. After my most recent haircut I received numerous compliments from friends and co-workers on how great my hair looked. I highly recommend The Pleasant Barbershop for your next haircut. You will not be disappointed.

Was very impressed with this barbershop! Not only is it very clean and modern, but the barber was able to give my screaming little maniac 16 month old a very good haircut even though there was a lot of wiggling and moving around. This Barber must have had magical powers I swear! Definitely taking him there in the future- hopefully he'll behave better LOL. This is a good place to bring your kids as well as yourselves!

Made an appointment for my son and husband. Came in, and it was a little busy. But we waited only a few minutes before Eli came to the front, asked for my son and started cutting his hair. He did a great job and so fast! And did the same for my husband. Highly recommend.

For a great experience and wonderful guy. This haircut and shave definitely made my day. I look really good for a change I never thought I’d find a decent place that actually took good care of me. The owner is very wonderful and knowledgeable and his skill definitely shows his craft.

Last week I emailed Abe and he gave me an appointment 20 minutes later. Though I’m 66 I have a very full head of hair and a beard. I asked him to make me look neat and he gave me an incredible haircut and made my beard look very neat and trimmed also. Great job Abe👍👍👍👍

Excellent haircuts there's a hair stylist or Barber for every type of hairstyle at the shop. I go to Abe. Not only is he a pleasant and hard working man, but his attention to detail is phenomenal. If you want a fade, shape up, straight blade, beard trim, or even eyebrows, he does it all. Let me put it this way, I don't even need to see my hair through the mirror after the cut because I know it's always going to look great.

I was looking for a local barber shop when I became new to the area. I decided to check this place out and have been coming back ever since! Very little, if any, wait time. Great barbers and affordable price. Abe always takes care of me and gives a great cut. Glad I found this!

Abe is awesome barber. He asked me kind of haircut. Quick and well done. Place gets lots of customers.. However no waiting at all for me. Pleasant is pleasant for real.

Came here for the first time last week by a recommendation from my brother. What a gem! Old school barbershop with old school shaves, and hot towel service! The owner Abraham is very friendly and always makes sure you're leaving looking sharp. Give this place a try once, and you'll be coming back as a regular. I'm the type that comes in weekly for a save and shape up, so having a place that's reliable and consistent is key!

Been getting my hair cut here by Chris since I was 4 years old. It's that signature corner barber shop that every small town needs; you walk in and are greeted with open arms. It's great to support local business instead of going to a 'giant cookie cutter big business hair cut joint' that treat you like just another head of hair instead of greeting you by your first name when you walk in the door.
