First day visiting was Eclipse day! We opted to stay in an area away from the main event. Was perfect, beautiful field & woods, ample parking, accessible bathroom. Driving out got glimpse of the other areas, plenty more to see will def be back! Offering my thoroughly amateur eclipse photos 😉

LOTS TO DO!!! This park was great my family and I spent Memorial day here. We did not BBQ but there were lots of great spots. We used the snack bar and enjoyed a nice lunch. The prices were reasonable and the food was good. I was pleasantly surprised when our hotdogs were the regular size not the tiny dogs. The playground was filled with kids and we took a ride on the paddle boat($22). We spent 4hrs. in the park and enjoyed every moment.

Wonderful park! Well designed and very well maintained. The bike/running track with the vintage a exercise stations is really cool. The disc golf course is great, super clean and really fun. Plenty of long holes so you can really lay it on. Beautiful lake with boats to rent. Well equipped playground. The swings have *just* the right amount of squeak :) Definitely going to be coming back here a lot.

Great park, 8-mile paved trail. Perfect for a long walk or run without elevation change.

We are new to this area and have visited the park regularly to hike with our pups. Everytime we go, we leave tired And happy. You have the option of paved or unpaved trails, each has plenty of nature to enjoy. There's even a bridle trail. The park almost always has people around but there's plenty of space so it doesn't always feel crowded. There are bike, canoe and kayak rentals, also a playground with swings. If you don't already have a parks pass, it's only $10/year and that gets you into all the parks in Hamilton county. Or you can pay $5 per vehicle I think. Overall, it's a place where I think families have plenty of options for fun, and for hikers, plenty of nature to enjoy

My kids loved this park. I bought an annual pass for 10 dollars because I'm s resident of Hamilton County. The park is beautiful I loved walking by the river. NY kids really loved the water spout next to the play area , was a great addition to the park so kids can cool down. So many different boats and bikes to rent but I'm unsure of the price for those. The gift shop has some cool nature things that you can buy for your kids as well as a few animals for the kids to look at. For convenience purpose I suggest you bring cash for your pass so they can give it to you at the park entrance they only accept cash at those spots though if you use a card you have to go to the gift shop building to purchase the pass. They also have an 8 mile bike trail and a 2.5 mile walking trail. All around a very cool park. Highly recommend it for people with and without kids. Be fore warned , once you start that 8 mile trail you must be committed to finishing it. Do not walk that trail if you don't think you could finish the walk. The trail goes through the woods and you're pretty far from help. I would suggest you use a bike on your first trip on the 8 mile trail.

Pretty chill spot with lots of options. Wife and I go here for laid back bank fishing with bobbers and worms. Plenty of space for boats if you like those bass.

This is a wonderfull park with a big lake. Boats for hire, a lovely visitors center with excellent, friendly staff and a snake, turtle, beaver dam display area. It also has two wonderfully carved animal and plant walls. A truly talented artist. Outside they have a large rock climbing and slides and ropes wit a full swing set. The turf is all rubber chunks or a spongy turf to minimize damage from falls. Rather an excellent kids play area. Great trails for walkers, picnic areas, beautifully kept grounds.

Very well maintained. Quiet place to relax. I really enjoy the trails. Lots of activities like golf, bike rentals, canoe rentals, fishing, and an indoor activity/learning center. They also offer a concession stand with a variety of menu items. Typical quick eats and sweets. The trails they offer are 2/8 miles+. The price of admission is average for a park. You can pay per day or purchase a season pass. They also offer camping horseback riding trails, disc golf, lawn bowling, winter activities, and geocatching. When walking/running/jogging on the trails, you will notice workout activity stations. You will also find shelters to rest, picnic areas, and Observatory spots to look out at the wetlands and nature.

One of the nicest county parks with plenty to do. An 8 mile outer bike/walk paved walk trail that has a cutoff for a 2 mile inner loop. A lake for fishing, paddleboats, and kayaks. Several hiking trails throughout the park.

Depending where you park or access the park you may need to purchase a pass. There are some spots external to the park where you can walk to get into the park.

If you have the park pass make sure to stop by the visitor center. This area serves as the center for lake access and for the playground.

Stopped here for a quick hike and it's quite a nice area! A couple of the trails are being worked on(So closed) but it was easy enough getting around. I would definitely drop back here for another hike in the future!

Beautiful fall colors and ponds. Must visit during the 🍂 season. We hiked 3 trials and all of them were good and non slippery, after the rain the night before.

Great 9mile bike/walk/rollerblade trail. Has multiple hills so a good workout. Plenty of parking. A pretty lake. You can rent paddle boats in summer. Plenty of spots for picnicking. There’s a campground as well. A large playground for kids. Good nature programs for kids and adults.

It is a very lovely and spacious park complete with a paved 8 mile and 2 mile walking biking roller blade ect trail. Along the 2 mile trail are wooden exercise stations Including a balance beam. At the start of the trail.
However some of the wooden wooden stations are carpenter Bee ridden and somewhat unstable so please use care and judgment.)
Wheelchair accessible Observatory deck that overlooks the wetlands with multopen window viewing area.
There are hydration stations nearby wetlands overlook ; however when I last visited, they were not operational. (May of 2023)
It has a very large lake complete with An assortment of boat rentals. I like the fact that they have some boats with motors on them. You can also rent bicycles and a 4 wheel family buggy style bicycle there. This year they also added A nice Swan themed paddle boat. They have a small bait shop where you can even purchase fishing Poles and all the accessories you need to start fishing there.
The staff at the boat house are very helpful and knowledgeable.

They have a visitor center (Above the bait house near the restrooms) where you can purchase some nice gifts and toys for children and books wind chimes garden ordiments ect for adults.
It has a nice campground complete with its own private playground that is new and in safe working order for children. It has a feature where you can spin a wheel and hear real animal sounds.
Part of the campground overlooks the dry fork Creek and is quite scenic. Children should be supervised if they venture beyond the unauthorized/ un official trails.

And last, but certainly not least, my favorite; the 9 hole disk/Frisbee golf course.
( Today I scored 11 under for 18 holes.) (I have aced; holes 3, 4 & 6 in past over the years !! : D )
It is a great and easy walking for people of any mobility. Clear and open with Little to no direct obstacles. It has nice gradual elevation changes with lots of pines& maples.
It is a perfect and ideal Beginner's course. And great practice for intermediate and professional players as well.
