The service is super friendly, a little more family feeling than business.

The price is a little higher per item than we normally do for our normal eat outs - but we still really enjoyed ourselves and thought it was definitely worth it.

Went to dinner with my wife and another couple and enjoyed the evening. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. Food was very good, reasonably priced, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. Definitely going to go back. We got there at 7 o’clock and the place was fairly full and we left close to closing and everyone cleared out about 8 o’clock. I’m not sure if that’s the normal flow but it looked like a good crowd.

Gotta be some of the best fried chicken I’ve ever had ribs were amazing as well. All the sides were great.! Service was great as well. Very clean restaurant and really like the decor! Amazing sweet tea which is hard to find around here anymore! This is our first time here since we moved into town down in Aurora we will definitely be back to check out the rest of the menu soon! Highly recommended!!!!

Delicious comfort food in a laid-back homey environment that feels like you’re at grandma’s house! Our server Pam was wonderful and our family of 6 loved all the food! The biscuits were fluffy and the chantilly cream with the coffee and pancakes was a special treat! We are so glad we found this place and we will definitely be back.

Absolutely LOVED it! First ever visit, food was fantastic, service was like mom waited on us, and beer was really $1 each! They are not large beers, it was Hudy, but darn was it FUN! And Nick was really there, we met Nick!

A wonderful American restaurant and cafe with good ol' American Cuisine. Very charming and authentic in service, style, and food. All the food at our table looked quite appetizing, to be certain. The Omelette, the Pancakes, Biscuit and Gravy, Cheeseburger, and Grilled Cheese looked so appealing, but I had a Cuban that so satiated my appetite. Service was excellent and I almost tried the Bloody Mary. Atmosphere was very welcoming for the entire family. Highly recommended. Definitely a repeat. Handicap Accessible. Family Oriented with High Chairs Available. Easily seen from road. If you are looking for a very satisfying meal and a broad menu, this is certainly the place to visit. Happy Eating!!!

Loved it, had the fish dinner and it was excellent. Service was awesome and prices were not horrible for what you got. My husband got a big pile of breakfast, it was the biggest bowl I ever saw. We will be back. We have been driving passed this for years it seems like.

I had country fried steak and was very pleasantly surprised that it was NOT chop steak, but a real steak. My wife had the fried chicken, serving so much she had to bring some home. The atmosphere was a bit retro and homey. Everything was home made and very good.

Liver is juicy and tastes like steak. Hot chocolate almost perfect temperature when it’s served. Gut buster breakfast is delicious. Gravy is as good as homemade. Baked potato was perfectly cooked.

My Aunt Gloria was 88 and we were gathered together to celebrate her birthday. My wife and I were among those who arrived a bit early. Nick was at the front counter, smiling and waiving at me. Turned out he thought I was somebody he knew.
He was super nice and even gave us some history on his restaurant. They set up an area all to ourselves which added up to 16 or so. Food was very good! Generous portions, cooked just right! Prices are commensurate with virtually every other restaurant of the caliber of Nick's.

This is a 2 hour drive for me and well worth it. I usually get the hot brown and as usual no disappointment. The place is under new ownership and from what I can tell it is in good hands.

Had the open faced beef with the coleslaw and some of my husband's Cuban sandwich with fries and both were delicious! Each one had soo much flavor, it was just wonderful, thank you! I didn't try the dessert but ever since we left I've regretted not getting a sundae to go lol.. Next time!!

Went to Nick's American Cafe for lunch. The food was delicious. The server, Jenna was excellent. She checked on us several times for refills and if we needed anything. Jenna did an awesome job!

My wife and I love bringing our 3 year old here. So many things for him to try and he loves the fruit cup especially. Thanks nick and family for always giving great service and even better food.

Really a nice place to eat. The food is always done perfectly. Great menu selections. Service can be a little slow but it is because the kitcken is doning it RIGHT!! Will be back.

such a hidden gem, has the best biscuits & gravy around. sometimes service can be a bit slow but happens when a restaurant gets really busy at times. the food is still worth the wait

Great American food. Fresh cod fish brought in weekly. Fried chicken. The chicken comes from a local farm. Everything is fresh and delicious.
