Gillespie Butte Park

Who doesn't love a sunny day? Today its 70 and bright, so I went for a walk in the park. Its getting smaller and smaller with all the new houses going up, so come for a walk before its gone.

Gillespie Cemetery is awesome! Quiet, old and new graves. Worth the visit, feel the history, see the view from the top!

Come see this pretty little spot before McMansions ruin the views and make parking impossible. You can see across the city, and to the mountains from up here. There's also a really neat cemetery, that includes some graves from 1880s.

Great little park. Hard to get to - there is an entrance off Pool St. right on the ridge. Check out the historic graveyard. Some headstones date to the mid 1800s.

I love this as a neighborhood hike. Not really a destination park, in my opinion. It has fun views, particularly at night.

Definitely an excellent place to build if you are seeking real estate. Close to the Valley River mall, and conveniently close to other shopping needs, with a butte lot feeling.

The most amazing view in Eugene. Too bad they tore down a quarter to build houses. But the cemetery is historical.

I live close to here, beautiful place that many dont know about with all the same views of the butte downtown.
