South Of Chicago Pizza & Italian Beef

It was our first time stopping here. It was Saturday afternoon and the dining room was steady. The gal who took our order and was outstanding. She moved to each table and spoke to everyone like they were friends. Now to the pizza.... the deep dish supreme was delicious! The sauce had to made In house. The craft beer selection was good and inexpensive. This place is now on our radar when we want great pizza and service. Our new fav place!

We like to try different places a couple of times a month, and my wife wanted a deep dish Chicago style pizza.
We've had the other normal spots that everyone goes to for a deep dish. South of Chicago beats them hands down! Full of flavor and a great value to add.
The staff were very friendly, Sabrina was our waitress and was friendly and helpful.

We ordered the breadsticks and believe that it is the best appetizer we have tried here. Soft, buttery and good balance of Italian seasoning. Perfect for dipping in nacho cheese sauce. Also, we tried the Pepperoni Pizza on Thin crust and loved it. Not too thin but, and the pizza tastes good, but nothing beats the deep dish style. The Pepperoni Pan Pizza was delicious too. Pan Pizza is a cross between a thin and a deep dish crust.

The Garlic Cheese Bread appetizer has lots of cheese and garlic, and great way to start the meal. The Meat Lovers Deep Dish Pizza is the best deep dish pizza we have ever had. The sauce is extremely flavorful, and the perfect amount of pepperoni, Italian sausage, ham and bacon.

If you are a Chicago sports team fan or a fan of Deep Dish Chicago Style Pizza then look no further. Everywhere you turn there is a banner, sign or picture of Chicago sports team. The best one is a panoramic view of downtown Chicago. We ordered the Loaded Fries appetizer, and devoured it. The crispy fries which had a soft pillowy center was coated in a cheese sauce and homemade bacon bits. It was so delicious that we couldn't stop eating it. We ordered the Meat Lovers Deep Dish Pizza and it was delicious. There was bacon, Italian Sausage, pepperoni and ham covered in a very flavorful tomato sauce, and the cheese had the right amount of pull. Our son ate the Pepperoni Deep Dish Pizza and loved it. He said it had lots of cheese and pepperoni, and enjoyed the flavorful tomato sauce as well. A friendly staff as well.

have only got to go from this place a few times and it's been good every time. tried the pan pizza and Italian beef this time. really good. tried the deep dish last time and it's great as well. plan on trying thin crust next time because I hear it's great too. the wife and son love the breadsticks too.

Sabrina is a friendly, fun server! She was engaging, and suggested tge best pizza! 1st time here, and Def will be back!°

Omg is it good. The Italian beef sandwich is better than a woman. Make sure you get it with the peppers and mozzarella cheese on top comes with all kinds of herb seasonings too. And the aju gravy on the side has a ton of oregano and garlic in it. Savory……..
I got the lasagna too. Delicious. And its still affordable. They got prices right where it should be.

Outstanding far-south location of underrated local chain. The food is incredible, portions generous, prices fair. The staff is always fast, friendly, and attentive. Deep dish pizza takes a while to cook but that's how it works. Dining room is clean and spacious. Lots of Chicago decorations and sports screens and jazz playing. I personally would have preferred the TV basketball games, plural, have been muted so we could hear the jazz.

My first job was at a small pizza shop owned by a family that cared deeply about the quality and taste of their food. I thought that their food ruined pizza for me because no other pizza places could stand up to the love and care they put in to what they did. That was until I came across South of Chicago. I've been absolutely blown away with my experience, I never eat pizza anymore but I can see myself hooked! Thank you for the passion put in to what you do. With love, from Josh M.

South of Chicago has the best combo I have had outside of Chicago. The food is so good I dont even miss my home state of Illinois. The service is great and the atmosphere really feels like a Chicago diner. Go get a cheesey beef and sausage combo with hot peppers. Itll change your life.

This was Absolutely the BEST Deep Dish Pizza I've ever had! It has everything I didn't know I wanted in deep dish. I seriously could only eat one piece and I was full. The crust was amazing, not soggy one from the Supreme toppings, yet not too hard. The service was amazing also. I really was shocked at how great my experience was, I went with a friend and wasn't even in the mood for Pizza. This is my new favorite place and I will be a regular customer. Try them out, you won't regret it!

Love that they play music and they have the best chichago style deep dish pizza in Indy hands down (go to chichago often enough this might be better) the crust is buttery and the only pizza crust I eat instead of saving that room for the toppings and that's an achievement. The staff is always friendly and they stop by to check on you too. My 16month old has a blast jamming to the music while he eats. I definitely recommend this place to everyone. They have a 20-30 minute wait for food but and stay busy with a stream of to go orders. Great place if ypu are in the Greenwood area and hungry

I am from Chicago Illinois. This is the best pizza I have had out here. I recommend eating her for good food.

Had the Italian beef (dip) poor boy. This was a solid meal. The beef was outstanding. Have had the pizza in the past and it was incredibly delicious. First time eating in and the service was spot on.

The thin crust meatball pizza (with onion and green pepper) is probably the best pizza I’ve ever had! We’ll probably make an hour drive from Indy for the place many times in the future 😍 pizza was huge for the price, too!

Had the Italian beef and took the pizza home...Italian beef was one of the best I've ever had...pizza was great too we had a ton crust and a deep dish...we drove 40 minutes to eat here and my wife said when we have friends come to town we are bringing them here

Very friendly service, ridiculously fast deep dish pizza and AMAZING flavor! The cheesy bread was like crack and the deep dish pizza was flavor heaven! Was our first visit...will not be our last! Wish we found this place sooner!

My favorite pizzeria in the Greenwood area. Both the thin and deep dish are great. Happy to support a small locally owned business too.

Great place for some deep dish pizza. Today though I tried their chicken parmesan and it was also very good. The breadsticks are also good. Will try their Italian beef sandwich next visit.

My favorite pizza & Italian beef on the Southside! Family owned & operated. Whenever we get pizza this is the place! Italian beef is also fantastic. Honestly we have tried most of the menu & haven't had a bad thing yet! Also, they serve beer which is a nice plus :)

All-you-can-eat deep dish pizza meatballs and salad with a drink for 10.50. amazing taste and Zombie Dust is on tap what more needs to be said. 👍👍
