I drive all the way from Lake Villa to get my hair done here! I love Heather who does my hair!!She listens intently and offers her opinion with other cool suggestions. She is quick with the foiling and the color was EXACTLY as I wanted! Couldn’t be happier with outcome!

Everyone is so friendly here! They are reasonably priced. Perfect place to get your hair done, you can have a whole spa day! Hair, facials by Olivia, & a massage by Angel!

Adriana is amazing, she’s been the only hair stylist to achieve the color I want in one session. I have very dark black, Indian hair and she was able to do perfect ashy caramel highlights in one session. She’s super friendly and takes her time, she also fixed my hair when another salon messed it up. She does amazing work and I highly recommend her!

I took the chance to try a new salon and go with something bold. Kelli and the team exceeded all expectations! After going to many salons over the years, it was so nice to not feel like I was another "to do" or be rushed out. They were just as excited as I was to make the change and not only did I leave with exactly what I wanted, but the salon was super inviting and I felt comfortable. Over the 15 years I've lived in the area, I've switched my regular spot for haircuts many times and have been to most of the established salons. By far my experience at the Mixx has been the best. Very friendly and easy scheduling. The place is bright and super clean. They always offer coffee or water. Also their text message reminders are very helpful if you're like me and need that. Kelli has cut my hair now for over a year. She really listens to what you are looking for and is talented to pull it off. I highly recommend for quality, professionalism, service and honest fair prices.

Adriana is AMAZING. She's always helped me do wonders to my hair especially last week with my recent visit. My balayage had grown out to my ends and she took my dark-medium brown hair to bright blonde in just one session. I was extremely satisfied with how much she was able to transform my hair and I left the salon as happy as ever. I've never had one bad experience going to this salon and seeing her so i definitely recommend booking with her if you decide to go here.

A little back story on my hair during this whole quarantine I decided to dye my hair 2 time with BLACK BOX DYE !! (I know really bad) and then I decided I wanted blonde highlights. I thought I was going to come out with caramel or brown because duh I used black box dye. But no Adriana worked her magic and I came out with beautiful ash blonde highlights ❤!!!

Boy I, needed a haircut and color. about 4 months of over growing, dried up hair & no color.

Juliet, the owner, has been doing my hair for years now.. I used to go to her when she worked in Park Ridge, where I live. Then she got too good to be just an employee---and decided to open her own business in Elk Grove. Now I drive 20 minutes away to get my hair done, rather than 2 blocks.. Thats saying something.. She does excellent work, and would never hire anybody who was not excellent. Two thumbs up!

This was my first time to the Mixx since JS Salon had moved. The new salon is beautiful. I've gotten my hair cut, highlighted, and balayage-d now by Gabby and it has been excellent every time. I usually come in with an idea of what I want and let Gabby put her expertise to use. I have never been disappointed.

Adriana was a miracle worker..my hair had not been cut since Jan. & I wanted a whole new color..I have unmanageable hair to say the least. I am so Happy with what she did..I walked in a mess & walked out sassy!
