Come here for breakfast instead of that big chain IHOP next door.

Their meals are simple breakfast foods, but they do them well. Also - the onion rings are excellent.

The prices are really reasonable, portions were good enough for hungry mountain bikers, and the coffee was solid.

Very good. The food was fresh, service was fast, staff was friendly and the portions were generous. Prices very reasonable, too!.

The cod was excellent. My dad said the tenderloin he ordered was very good.

I'm so glad we took a chance on this restaurant. It's a gem!

Proper family diner. Husband got1/4 chicken w/ cream of broccoli soup, mash potatoes with gravy. Chicken so tasty done fresh and worth the wait. I got chop steak Manhattan - nice size patty, great beef gravy and mash potatoes. And chicken bowtie soup with actual chicken and vegetables. Prompt attentive server. Very clean and friendly

New Day Cafe is the BEST breakfast, lunch, & dinner spot! Everything is so fresh & hot. On top of the amazing service you get, this spot is perfect for any family or solo meal! Highly recommend! Even better- they’re a FAMILY OWNED BUSINESS!!!

I went here with my parents for dinner the day after Thanksgiving and a lot of the other restaurants in town were busy. They had been several times, especially for breakfast. The food was good -- I had a pork chop with potatoes and sausage gravy-- and the server was very attentive.

I would describe the food as home style, they had several different dishes on the menu. It wasn't a really classy or modern place, but it was reasonably clean and they had a pretty steady flow of customers. I'd probably order a breakfast dish if I went back again.

On our road trip from Massachusetts I googled for 'best breakfast Terre Haute' and we landed here. We were not disappointed. Good fresh food, lovely service, a fantastic way to start our day. Thank you

My meal was good. Plenty of country gravy all over my biscuits. The hashbrowns cooked just right. Restaurant was clean, service was good. Overall a good experience.

Happened on this place by chance. I had the grilled tenderloin and it was delicious. The staff were great, friendly and attentive. The next time I'm in Terre Haute I will be stopping in.

Best place to eat in town. AMAZING FOOD AND SERVICE

Our family ate here on a early Sunday morning. Small gem in the city. Down home cooked food to order!!. THe restaurant was pretty full, but service was quick and efficient! Everyone got their hot food within 20 minutes of sitting down. They have daily specials. I got the greek omelet (spinach, gyro meat, feta cheese) .... I did add mushrooms and tomatoes..... it was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!!!!! Special came with home fries (fried potatoes) and your choice of bread or fruit I think. HUGE portions!!!
Any time we are visiting in Terre Haute we go here instead of the chain restaurants.

It's one of those small mom and pop diner feels. Coffee kept coming and my omelet was yummy. Had sourdough toast, good too😋

Love this place! It's become routine to have breakfast with my husband's moms side of the family to have breakfast here, on the Sundays we head back to Kentucky. Service and food are always great!

The cinnamon French toast was the best I’ve ever had from a restaurant. Price was good and the inside was cute. From the outside it’s easy to look past but it’s one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in town
