Cochell Family Dentistry

Dr. Cochell is an incredible dentist. Extremely thorough, knowledgeable, professional yet so personable and fantastic with small children. I appreciate that she is conservative with treatment and explains options. Highly recommended!

My family and I moved to Salem in early 2020. We were recommended to Cochell Family Dentistry by our family dentist in Gresham and we couldn’t be happier. My little ones are comfortable seeing the dentist and hygienist. They get so excited about going and getting their toothbrush kits and picking from the prize box after their appointment.

We love Cochell Family Dentistry! About a year or so ago I was unhappy with the dental care my kids were getting from their previous dentist, so I chose to switch care and found Cochell Family Dentistry. Both of my kids now receive dental care from Christel Cochell. From day one my experience as a parent and my children's experience as the patients has been top- notch! She is the FIRST dentist my youngest one is comfortable and trusting of enough that she goes right on back on her own, without extreme anxiety or refusal and then comes out after her exam/work with a smile. She and her dental assistants are very welcoming, explain everything thoroughly and it is very obvious that she and the dental assistants are passionate about the care they give. She makes sure her patients are scheduled in a timely manner even down to routine cleanings and preventive exams. My kids have never had to wait over recommended times even for cleanings. Her dental practice is organized with great communication, this has made it stress and worry free for scheduling and coming in for appointments.
Any concerns or questions I have had before an appointment she or an assistant has always been quick to respond. I am very happy with the choice I made to switch my kids dental care to her, I just wish I would have done it sooner!
She and the assistants have done an outstanding job with both of my kids and we plan to continue dental care here long term.

Always get the job done here with little to no pain, a caring, friendly staff and a meticulous and caring dentist. You feel like you're among friends everything. Highly recommend Dr Cochell and staff.

I can't imagine going to any other DDS in Salem. One of the finest you will find Very caring and very thorough. And again May 2023 my semi-annual cleaning/check visit was perfect with finite attention to details and care of the teeth. Yay... and teeth all good.
30 Nov 23 - 6 months have gone by - a return for a polishing by April and a cleaning by Dr. Cochell - and you can not find that any better any place else. They both have superior personalities and so much attention to detail that your teeth are in perfect condition when you walk out of the door. And the other neat characteristic they both have ---- a very good sense of humor --- and that makes for fun visit to the dentist. Thank you April, Thank you Dr. Cochell.

I'm a new patient at Cochell. They got me in for an emergency appointment last-minute, and I could NOT be happier that it was them.

Dr. Cochell is an absolute gem of a person, and does fantastic work.- very kind and CLEARLY knows what she's doing! April, the dental assistant for my appointments, might be one of my favorite dental employees I've ever had the pleasure of visiting.

This is a great place, with warm, friendly people in a comfortable environment. Lots of dental procedures are unpleasant no matter what, and this team made sure I'll be coming back in the future for all my needs.

Dr. Cochell is always so kind and her staff is also amazing!!! They run on time which for some is a real plus and a selecting factor. If you are looking for a new dentist I would encourage you to schedule with this office you will not be disappointed.

Haven't been to dentist in almost two years with COVID and all. Was at sometimes painful, but only to get off the plaque. DR.Cochell is fantastic and knows her stuff. Teeth feel clean. Was a 5 star appointment.

Going to the dentist is always a pleasant experience. My youngest daughter even looks forward to going because of the prize waiting for her at the end of her appointment. Everyone in the office is great with kids. They also take the time to show our kids how to brush, floss, and care for their teeth better. Our whole family has been going to Cochell since we moved to Salem and I recommend them to our friends and neighbors.

Absolutely amazing experience as always! Dr, Christel is so amazing & extremely informative in every step during any visit. She is so amazing with my girls & has such a gentle hand while working. Cochell Family Dentistry is a great place to have your teeth worked on. I have used them for years and find them to be on time, pleasant, and always on top of what needs to be done and how to work with me and my insurance to do it.

This is my favorite dental office ever! I am one of those people who don't enjoy going to the dentist until I found Dr. Cochell and her team. They are kind, gentle and actually listen to their patients needs. The office is clean with private rooms for everyone. I would absolutely recommend this practice.

Absolutely love her and her staff. I've always had a certain apprehension towards dentists but Dr. Cochell is very nice, knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Which makes going to an appointment much easier. My wife and I are both patients now and have been for years. Would highly recommend.

I've had the pleasure of being a patient here since 2014 and I couldn't be happier with the treatment and care I get when visiting Dr. Cochell. I've had two episodes of severe dental pain and my goodness I was taken care of each time, worked in and cared for. I will never go anywhere else. As always, Dr. Crystal was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable with my recent exam and cleaning appointment. She's been my and my husband's dentist for many years and we wouldn't ever want to change that. We're both in our 70's and Dr Crystal has helped us through many dental issues, always providing all the information we need to make any decisions. I highly recommend Cochell Family Dentistry to anyone who wants superb dental care.

I don't usually write reviews but I want to show my appreciation of Cochell Family Dentistry. I just had another satisfying cleaning with April and Dr. Christel Cochell. Everyone is friendly, the technology is up-to-date, and Dr. Christel is careful, thorough, and detail-oriented. She's also possibly the gentlest dentist I have experienced, which is great considering my very sensitive teeth. And she always has good advice for home care. I don't have great teeth, but I have a great dentist, so I'm not worried about any future work I will need.

I never pick my dentist on a spur of the moment from a google search. However, that’s exactly how I met Dr. Cochell and her assistant. They got me in on SHORT notice to fix an unfortunate situation that happened during the night so I could make it to work on time. The two I had contact with have an incredibly calming presence about them. They work quickly and are so kind and gentle. Their facility is very clean and easy to find. I am glad to have found a dentist I feel comfortable with.
