Down Under

Every part of our dining experience was great. The service was outstanding and very fast, and the food was amazing. From the salad and appetizer, to the fries, to the prime rib, everything tasted phenomenal. Glad we checked out this restaurant, and we’ll definitely be back!

The quirky entrance is a great start to any restaurant experience! Lives up to its name! I love the moody lighting. It makes the space feel more cozy. I also liked the candle on the table. I ordered the breaded fish and chips. Since Peterson's closed down, Down Under has the best fish in town! I forgot what my waiter's name was but she had really cute glasses and was very quick with our orders. The time I go I'll probably try a drink at the bar!

We had great pizza and the large salad. So great ... The servers were super friendly and very prompt with everything! The music wasn't too loud and made for a good dining experience. Everything was clean and it was very cozy. We continue to have great times there! Played cards tonight with friends after dinner... Always a good time at Down Under❣

I had one of the best prime rib meals that I ever have had on Friday. It was a perfect early Father's Day dinner, and I can not say enough how wonderful the dinner was. This is a very unique restaurant, and it is sure to be a memorable memory when you experience Down Under.
Review update: Down Under has ALWAYS lived up to my previous review. I had a great Queen Cut Prime Rib last night and it was sooo good!! The green beans with bacon was a great side with it as well.

But the food is great!
The service was great.
The only negative was the tea. Very weak. But that is a small negative. We could have just ordered something else. But no complaints.

Talia was absolutely amazing! She made our experience wonderful! The prime rib was terrific, definitely worth the drive from Fort Wayne! Thank you for the great food and awesome service! We will definitely be returning, to see talia’s smiling face and eat some delicious food! If you’re out to celebrate a birthday, this is the place, because talia went above and beyond to make it a special evening!

We had the tilalpia, which was on a bed of good rice with asparagus. Tender and tasty, good portion. And their great salad bowl. Don't forget they have fresh prime rib in sauce each weekend . Plus horseradish topping if you wish. Killer drinks & Beers

First time there this evening, had the prime rib sandwich which was phenomenal. Jaycee the bartenderess was amazing and as attentive as she could've been considering how busy she was.. I hope I spelled her name right

Amazing food, great atmosphere!! One of the best whiskey selections I've seen in a long time. The house salad was fantastic and I'm not a salad person. I would highly recommend this hidden gem.

The food is delicious and the servers are great! They do a great job, are pleasant, and in a good mood! Highly recommend!

The food was soooo delicious! Homemade dressing..the shrimp was so juicy and flavorful! A hidden gem!! We will be back! Our waitress was super friendly also!

Absolutely loved this place! I think the waitress thought I was mad about how long our food took but I want her to know that I've been in food service for over 20 years. You guys rocked it tonight! Great job to the Kitchen and wait staff. 10/10 will recommend to friends and will definitely be back!

If you haven't experienced this hidden gem then what you waiting for? Very unique atmosphere that gives you vibes of speak easy's from a century ago. The food and service is top notch!!

We went for dinner, both had the special - fish basket. Nice helping of fish and fries. The fish was great and the fries were good. We also had wings as an appetizer. They were very good also. Service is great. Very comfortable atmosphere. Must be able to manage steps, the restaurant is in a basement.

Date week with wife, two tables left as tonight was half priced pizza! We were quickly served drinks, ordered appetizers and a pizza, fries and cheese came out quickly and were too hot to eat. Finished them off and there was our pizza, again too hot to eat…. Once it cooled down and another drink we were satisfied with the pizza. Staff was attentive and friendly.

Such a great experience. We tried the prime rib and breaded fish and wow was it phenomenal. We had the sweetest waitress, Talia, she was just so lively. The down under really seems to bring the best service, food, and environment. Will recommend and will definitely be back again.

Food and service was great. I had their Valentines day special and well worth it. The cook male my steak perfect. I like medium rare and I never get made right. I was super happy about that. Definitely will be going here again. I also like the unique set up.

What a great place. Hidden underneath a gazebo.
The atmosphere was awesome, and the staff were great and friendly.
We went for the surf and turf. Wow, the prime rib was amazing. And their homemade dressing on the salad was great.
We will definitely be back.
My wife had their season special pumpkin spice drink. It's worth a try.

What a wonderful pleasure. Great food. The Prime rib can be cut with a fork. Our waitress Heather was so sweet and fun. We will ask for her next time we go. Of course the atmosphere of being underground is
terrific.

This is a busy place. We went on a Thursday night and both of us had the fish special before the movie at the pickwick down the street. Great fish!!
