The Veterinary Hospital

I found a young cat in the woods behind my house and The Vetrinary Hospital has been great in getting the little guy fixed up and ready for indoor life for a really reasonable price. They diagnosed his heart murmur in the first visit and his neuter procedure went smoothly! So far it's a 10/10 for me.

Caring, friendly staff. Our vet, Dr. B laid out all our options, and helped me pick the right one for Moose. Lower prices than our last vet, and short wait time for appointments. Would definitely recommend.

Super friendly, patient and knowledgeable. Stopped to answer all of our questions. We even started to leave and came back a couple minutes later because we forgot to mention something, they were kind and answered it quickly before we actually left

A few months ago my dog Scooter was dealing with some health issues and TVH was ruling out cancer.

It was a very difficult and stressful time for me. I was beside myself with worry and Dr. Berman went above and beyond to answer my numerous questions.

She is very positive, patient, and kind. She never seems rushed and takes the time to listen to all my concerns.

Additionally, the staff and techs are always helpful! You can tell how much they love animals! I would highly recommend for anyone looking for compassionate, competent, and trustworthy vet care!

Took my pup Finnegan in for a teeth clean and extraction with Dr. Yamada. She did an amazing job! Addressed all my concerns and really made me feel at ease knowing my best friend was in good hands. Everyone on the team was so sweet and amazing, I really felt so welcomed there. We will 100% be returning for any future health needs!

For the last 15 years our 2 wonderful kittys and fantastic Border Collie, Daize, have been lucky to receive professional, compassionate and thoughtful care from the great vets and awesome support staff at The Veterinary Hospital in North Eugene.

Our kittys left us a while back and Daize is very senior and in the process of saying, "Goodbye" to us.

Best vet experience we’ve had in Eugene. The front desk folks were kind and helpful, the doctor really listened & gave clear instructions for care & the tech had great rapport with my dog & patiently answered all my questions. My dog is sometimes cranky at the vet but they took the time to make friends with her & she did a great job at her appt.

Our first visit here and all the staff made "BellaRose" and her Mama quite relaxed. Her vaccines were updated, ears cleaned and fears allayed about a lipoma.

Our family is recovering from a wildfire and health issues. Being able to communicate our urgent needs (vaccine update, etc) without pressure for MORE expenses meant alot to us. We will definitely be scheduling a more thorough physical in the near future. So delighted to find a competent practice just around the corner from home!

Take both of my dogs here for their yearly check ups (thankfully have never had to take them for anything more serious).
Dr. Berman is fantastic! She answered all my questions, helped put my very anxious dog at ease, and helped create a diet plan for them to help them lose a little bit of weight (it's hard to say no when they beg).

Dr. Berman is the most caring and compassionate vet we've ever had. She remembers details about us and our dogs and even noticed when one got a new collar. One of our dogs is large and reactive, and we've had a difficult time finding a vet who will give her a chance. Dr. Berman had us bring both of our dogs into the room for their first appointment and had our reactive dog simply watch as she examined our other dog. By the end of the exam, our dog had laid down and visibly calmed. We've had great experiences every time, whether for routine or urgent visits.

I have a super high anxiety cat so it's always nerve wracking to get him out of the house. The staff handled him so well and were so sweet to him! He was even in a good mood when we got back home! (he usually hides for a while after outings)

Being rather new to the area, our little dog was in for a visit some months ago, then recently she started to experience unexpected health problems. After several visits to The Veterinary Hospital, it was determined that her situation would not improve; unfortunately we had to make the decision to ease her discomfort and increasing critical situation. The staff was professional, yet sensitive, and helped us by answering the many questions we had as far as options available to us. When one is faced with such issues, you don't always absorb the information and comprehend it as well as you could. I'm sure I asked similar questions more than once, and they were patient with explanations so we could be sure we were thinking clearly and making the right choices. Should we have another pet in the future, we would not hesitate to return for their excellent care and staff. Thank you.

Their service and work is definitely outstanding. Super friendly staff and very knowledgeable. The only downside I'd say is their prices are way out of line on some things. I mean you're definitely getting great service and a very experienced company so you can rest assure you're money is well spent, but the prices on half the things don't justify some of the procedures, so I've just outsourced to out of town vets on some surgeries I've had to have done. Aside from that everything has been great. Been going there with two dogs for about 2 years now and outsourced 2 major surgeries as they were about 5x higher. The vets I outsourced to were specialists so I was not shopping for the best price, I was shopping for the most qualified. As I truly know these guys are qualified, there are plenty that are qualified out of town for major surgeries as well. Overall I would highly recommend this place and be very confident that your pets are getting the best care, latest technologies, and a great, wonderful, and knowledgeable staff.

This review is a bit different, because I didn't actually take my pet here! A few days back, our cat became noticeably sick and clearly needed to see a vet soon. I called half a dozen clinics in the area, all of whom were overbooked. That's not their fault, just seems to be a common issue right now and everyone's presumably doing their best. A few suggested I could call back the next day, and all of them recommended the same two emergency clinics.

When I called The Veterinary Hospital, they, too, were overbooked. However, the person who I talked to was able to direct me to a couple of other options that I hadn't known about who may have had a bit more flexibility for immediate care. We were able to get our cat in to one of them (Countryside Animal Clinic) as a dropoff - and she very soon after went into surgery for pyometra! I'm not sure she'd have made it if we'd had to wait another day or two. She's back at home and still getting over it, but is otherwise well... and is still with us!

So, this is more just a note of thanks for spending literally two extra minutes on the phone with me to make sure we could get the help we needed! That's the kind of care that really distinguishes a clinic from the others.
