20th Century Restaurant

Right now this is my favorite little area breakfast and lunch spot. Its about 8 miles away for me so I don't go often, but I've enjoyed it each time I have. Years ago I went here when I lived closer to it and I was in high school. That was in the 70s. It doesn't looks a lot different though they certainly have worked at replacing carpet, upholstery and tables when needed. It is clean, food is basic and down home but well-prepared, and the service is friendly. I especially enjoy their smoked sausage and their biscuits and gravy are excellent.

This place has been around for 50 years, and the charm of that is evident from the moment you walk in. Booths along huge plate glass windows, and a bar you can eat at. Cheap, tasty food, and friendly staff and patrons. Their pie is homemade every day, and I personally think is the best in Elkhart county. This is a favorite of my friends and I for a laid back, diner atmosphere meal that you can’t find anywhere else.

This is NOT fine dining. This is NOT an old-fashioned diner. This is NOT what someone thinks a diner was like 70 or 80 years ago. This is a diner that has been operating for a very long time. The food is great. You get to eat in a historic place. It's worth it.

Fantastic place it's old school diner. Great food, always have several specials to choose from both breakfast and lunch or supper. I had the AYCE fish, Alaskan pollock. It was great!

Went here on a Friday night and had a good meal and pleasant atmosphere. We need more diners like these. We even got to order breakfast!

Classic diner on busy intersection. The food is always fresh and good. Coffee hot and fast. Im usually stopping for breakfast but the dinner specials always sound scrumptious.

Love, love, love this place. I ate here last night 8/17/23 and again this morning. Great service and food. The servers are very friendly and willing to help even if it’s not their section. The owner and his son was in this morning and what a great team they are! If you stop at the truck stop for a break stop in and have a piece of pie or if you’re on your team have a meal. Let’s keep these little mom & pop places alive in this crazy corporate world we live in!

This place continues to be a hidden gem! One of the old stops along the great trucker route. You always get a, truck stop diner along Old Highway 66, kinda feel here. The foods always good, and made to order, and the wait staff is always attentive to your needs.

I don't get this way very often anymore, but when I do I always make a point to stop here for a bite.

Love their fish, very good waitress this time. Last time One of them won't leave you alone to eat. And before that Told us she hoped the rest of our party hurried up and did we want to order anyway before they got there. I was like really. Young blonde girl.

Awesome little mom and pops restaurant. Truck parking and it’s an old school restaurant. I got the country fried steak and it was great. I got no pics cause it was so good I ate it. I didn’t waste no time. Pricing was low and waitress was on point. She made sure I had everything I needed. I live in Kentucky but work out of New Paris. I will definitely be back and they serve breakfast all day

Best biscuits and gravy I’ve had in a long time, and the eggs/bacon/buttered toast make a great sandwich. And they make breakfast all day!

Just had lunch there with my family and I feel obligated to share our awesome experience. I really wish I would have gotten our server’s name because she was delightful. I can’t remember the last time I had such a fun, outgoing, welcoming server. I ordered the haystack, my husband got the roast beef Manhattan, and the kids got M&M pancakes. Every one of us thought the food was delicious and we ate til we couldn’t fit another bite. It’s been years since we had been there and we will certainly not wait long to return. Thanks to all the staff for such a great meal and overall experience!
