I was impressed by their customer service as well as their care for my cat. He weighs over 16#, and the vet's assistant offered to carry his carrier in for me. So nice! They were knowledgeable, gentle, well organized, proactive, and suggested treatments but weren't pushy, just overall great! I'm actually looking forward to the follow-up appt!

These folks were recommended to me by a friend. I have been very impressed with the care they have taken with my cat who I brought in to be fixed. Tomorrow our two girls have their turn.

This is an “old timey” vet office. They don’t mess around, try to sell you snake oil or upcharge for unnecessary treatments.
I have HUGE respect for Dr Gerros as he is a strait shooter. I’ve had two pups with health issues and he was honest and forward about their treatment.
His prices are more than fair, and I trust him 100% to give our dogs the best care out there.
His staff are always kind and seem to genuinely like their jobs and animals.

We love this place.. Three cat's and one dog have been treated here. The staff is very friendly and help full.

Santiam Equine is by far the best vet I have ever taken any of my pets too. I am a breeder and OFTEN visit the vets office, I am always pleased with their customer service and their ability to get me squeezed in their busy busy schedule. From our newborn puppy exams, tail and dew claw removal, ultrasounds, recovering mamas, spay and neuter, routines exams, follow up appointments, to picking up flea meds I have never had a bad experience. I had used almost every other vet in salem area before getting to Santiam Equine.

Being a breeder, I often times use emergency vets, and follow up with Terry @ Santiam.

Most recently I had a female have to have a c section at a local e vet and it was done horribly - Terry was able to quickly get her in and redo their sutures/ lack of closing her properly and ensure she was in the right meds to prevent infection (after I had taken her back to the e vet and they said to just “flush it” and wouldn’t close her back up.)

I appreciate Terry and the staff so so much - By far the only vet I will recommend ! They truly care about the care and wellbeing of the animals and do not “price gouge” like most vets in town.

I am so thankful for the staff and for Terry who has stayed after hours or worked through his lunch break to make sure my pets needs were met !

They are great, they figured out my dogs itching problem that he had been dealing with for a long time. Fairly priced and so kind to my animals.

They have been amazing careing for (Biscuts) my 16yr. mini-Doxie over the last year. I recently had to make that hard choice. And, the Dr. and staff were all remarkabley kind and careing not only in their care and concern with Biscuts, but with my feelings also. I can never thank them enough! They made a heart breaking situation, a bit easier to bare.

If I could leave 10 stars or more I would, at minimum though one for each year we have been with this wonderful clinic. Over the past 10 years Dr. Gerros and all the staff at Santiam Equine have been consistently amazing keeping our now 6 pets happy and healthy. From surgeries to routine visits we seem to be a revolving door with our dogs, cats and horse and we never worry because this clinic is super organized with a caring professional team. Thank you Santiam Equine for doing what you do so well.

It is difficult to find a really good veterinarian. No need to look any farther. I helped a friend deal with her sick dog just by going along to the vet. He was so kind and patient dealing with a very distraught owner. It was awesome to watch the whole thing play out to its eventual conclusion.

Fair pricing and the staff genuinely care about your animals. It's the only clinic I've taken my pets to where they aren't super drugged up after a procedure.
