Remember CASH ONLY! But they have an ATM in a pinch. My man Vincenzo is magical with the clippers and razor, trimming and lining up my beard like an artisan.

I have a very simple haircut, but have had a hard time finding a halfway decent beard trim. I have been to a dozen barbers that claim “Yeah, sure, we can trim your beard,” while in truth they had no clue and thought “how hard can it be?”

I’ve also had Jesuz and a big guy with a booming voice (can’t remember his name sorry!) and both were excellent as well.

Came here for my first visit - best Men's barbershop I've been to on the Northside. Worked with Paco - he's newer, but nonetheless, does great work and carries himself with a high degree of professionalism.

They take walk ins, have tons of expertise, chill environment. Cash only - they have an ATM in the back.

If you're looking for an old school, down to earth men's barber, would highly recommend Andre's.

As a first time customer, I felt very welcomed here. Not only were the guys working very friendly, but they also have a lot of respect for their customers. I was taken care of by Carlo, who did a fantastic job and he even gave me some tips on how to do my hair. If you want a sharp haircut with awesome service, this is the place! Definitely will be back.

The best barbershop in Chicago. It's got an old school feel and your destined for great conversation. Kirk (the owner) is such a cool dude and my man Jesus will line you up right! I've been going there for about 5 years when I first moved to Lakeview and found it on Google. Couldn't be happier - highly recommend!

It was an impulse decision for me to cut my hair which I had been growing for well over two years at the time
But it was definitely one of the best experiences I've ever had getting a haircut
The dudes were really friendly and fun to talk to

I literally had a emergency because the barber shop I went to previously messed up my hair. So I came here and jyro took care of me . Got me nice nd sharp. Made me feel like I was at home. Talked about life. Great vibes . Will be coming here again.

Andres is the place to go. If you're looking through reviews to decide, don't think twice just go. You won't be disappointed every barber here is top notch, they take great pride and respect in every haircut and it shows. This place is the only place I recommend, it makes every other shop in the city look like supercuts. They don't take reservations, first come first serve, just as it should be. Also cash only spot.

Hands down best place I've ever gotten a haircut. I've been there a few times now and no matter who I get they always do a professional job. The amount of quality and effort they put into your haircut is really impressive. The place also has a classic barbershop look and the atmosphere they have is really laid back, which is nice when you're waiting for a cut.

Awesome Barbershop, best one in town in my experience. Andres and the other barbers make you feel like family and the cuts are sharp.

As others have said, this is a this is a fantastic classic barber shop. You can get a straight razor shave, a haircut, and soon, you'll get a shampoo (but barber-style; this is NOT a salon). You're also likely to get a good conversation with your barber and one or two of the folks from the neighborhood who often occupy some of the chairs (say hi to Bill, he seems to be hanging out here almost all the time and knows the history of the neighborhood extremely well).

A local business employees who truly care about their craft. How can you go wrong?

Andre's is a classic neighborhood barbershop. You get a great haircut, and the old-school shtick of barbers who spend (presumably) the entire day making fun of each other. I no longer live in the neighborhood, but drive back here to get my haircut because I like the group and have never left dissatisfied with the haircut. If you know what cut you are looking for, they can do exactly that, but they can also give good advice if you're not sure what type of haircut you want.

Pros: Great haircuts, funny banter, insightful commentary on the latest R. Kelly album or where to get a mezcal old fashioned.

Cons: Owner has never seen Space Jam, does not understand that the Monstars pose an existential threat to American sovereignty.

I've been coming here for years and never had a bad cut. Great barbers with a great atmosphere and old school feel. Can't wait for them to reopen!

This place is nothing short of amazing. Extremely professional service, classic barbershop feel, and they take their time to cut your hair right. This is not a place to go for a chain style haircut. This is a place for a neighborhood feel and a personal experience.

Great shop, short wait, awesome barbers... Went in because I walked by after work... Got a great cut from Patrick. Felt like a real barbershop, definitely not the men's salons that are everywhere which was also great!

If you're a guy in Lakeview, this is the place to get a cut. The barbers all do a great job, there's lots of friendly banter, and all at a reasonable place. They don't take appointments, but that just means more time to bs with the guys in the shop. A real throwback.

Kirk and the guys will take care of you. Crazy attention to detail. Very skilled barbers. Call ahead for a full shave and a cut.

Emmanuel does magic! Interesting magazine collection for the guests. I come all the way from Iowa just to get cuts from Emmanuel. I definitely recommend coming here 100%.

Wonderful traditional style barber shop. It's a neighborhood main stay for 6 decades. Terrific barbers with their own unique character and talents.

I've been getting my haircut here since I moved to Chicago two years ago and needed a new barber. Lines get long sometimes, but it's worth the wait. Sharp cuts.
