The Channel Marker

Me and my girlfriend arrived at this place about 8pm on 3-25-24 and the rest was history. The place was so beautifully set by the water, walked inside and the ambiance was immediately drawing us in further. The waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable. She suggested a lot of local favorites and we decided on potato skins and the coconut shrimp. This was our eat spot and we are glad we chose food here. After smashing what we ordered we paid agreed it was all worth it while staring outside to the water and pier. We will definitely be back and this is a must stop place in Syracuse!!

This place is absolutely the best. Incredibly popular, yet somehow still a hidden gem. Never disappointed when we go here. Even a good time for the kids, usually. The Tiki Bar can't be beat. Make this a go-to for your summer schedule. (And order the outrigger!)

I called 10 minutes before they closed in hours to get some good food after a long day at work (16 hours).

Part of me expected them to be frustrated. Boy was I wrong.

The gal on the phone was enthusiastic, polite and reassured me it's no problem!

I was greeted with a smile when I arrived and they pointed me to the bar where the food will come out at.

The food was great - I think it was fried/breaded perch - and the server made me feel like I was hanging out with a friend while I waited a few minutes. It came out faster than my DQ drive through order l(no joke - see my review on that if you'd like).

This is a great place that hires friendly staff with a relaxed yet professional feel.

Party of 6 and we were all happy w/ our selections. (Fish tacos, tropical shrimp tacos, fried shrimp dinner, perch dinner, chicken strips, burger & clam chowder.) We arrived @ 6pm without a reservation and were seated right away. Shortly after, the place quickly filled up.

What a gem! We heard about the Channel Marker from a friend, and had wanted to check out Syracuse anyway, so we headed to this waterfront restaurant/tiki bar.

The decor is a fun mix of beach/lake blie and white with a full bsr inside and a Key West-inspired tiki bar outside. I need to see this place when the weather is nice!

Service was excellent throughout. Quick on refills and to follow-up on food. They did everything right.

The menu was deep, with options for fish lovers and those who don't love seafood. It had a nice range of less expensive options, and full market price options.

It looked like most of everything was scratch made. The food was well prepared and had a good mix of flavors.

The clam chowder was excellent. I could eat a big bowl of thwt on a cloudy day. The cup size made a great appetizer.

The lighter fare fish tacos were excellent. I'm not a huge fish fan, but these were well done, with some spice hiding in the flavors with a mango salsa to blend in an island/Florida vibe. Tasty!

My wife's sandwich was equally as good with a creamy coleslaw topping. Great combination!

The key lime pie was superb. I'm used to ones so tart you could strip automotive paint with it. This was a subtle, almost custard-like pie with maybe cinnamon and nutmeg that paired well with the graham cracker crust.

All in all, well worth the hour drive to Syracuse for a date meal. I need to see it in summer. I hear it's hopping!

Food was delicious. I had the jumbo coconut shrimp, fries and bussel sprouts. Service was always there when needed.

Great service and selection of food. Nice beach bar atmosphere. Outrigger is.still one of the finest burgers I have eaten. Cheese curds are excellent. Clam chowder still a favorite.

Decided last minute to eat lunch here. Glad we did! The sandwiches were good. The fries were great! The service was outstanding.

The Channel Marker was amazing! We sat on the patio and watched the sun set while enjoying our dinner. I ordered the shrimp tacos and the sauce just made it the perfect blend of flavors. Highly recommend.

Good experience! Food was absolutely delicious and sitting outside watching the boats go by is a lot of fun. The burger I ate was called the "Out Rigger" and I would definitely order it again. The sauce had such an incredible flavor. An awesome and relaxing experience. I'll be checking this place out more often this summer!

Really like this place. I'm here working for a few months. We have been here several times and have tried something different each time. Except the cheese curds, we get those every time.
The food has been fantastic, and the Swamp Water is awesome. The staff had been great and very friendly. Fun to sit outside by the water and watch the boats go by.

Wonderful restaurant with lots of class for a lakeside place. The big prime rib you could make three meals out of easily. This is not your average lakeside bar and grill. It's a step above.

Good service. Good food. Lovely environment dining inside and/or outside. Loved going by boat.

Fall day, sun rays, fine drinks, life is good. Winter stop had us inside for the first time in 20 years. Old school supper club refreshed with some excellent touches.

Absolutely great. Food was just what we were looking for! Friendly staff!! The kitchen staff on break even thanked us for coming in. The 26 mile drive from our home was well worth it. We will be going back.

Great food! Good service! Easy boat parking. We took our preschool grandkids and got along good. They have good kids meals. The kids ate everything, first time I've seen them do that. Our food was good also!

Great food, great experience, great idea for a fun date night

Islander Perch Basket was very delicious! Brother-in-law really enjoyed the stir fry. Cool atmosphere, friendly staff! Definitely recommend & will return!
